Psalms 125

1 Those/We who trust in Yahweh are [as secure/steadfast] [SIM] as Zion Hill, which cannot be shaken and can never be moved.

Canto dei pellegrinaggi. Quelli che confidano nell’Eterno sono come il monte di Sion, che non può essere smosso, ma dimora in perpetuo.

2 Like the hills that surround Jerusalem [protect the city], Yahweh protects [us], his people, and he will protect us forever.

Gerusalemme è circondata dai monti; e così l’Eterno circonda il suo popolo, da ora in perpetuo.

3 Wicked people [MTY] should not [be allowed to] rule over the land where righteous [people] live. If they did that, those righteous [people] might [(be encouraged to imitate them and]) do things that are wrong.

Poiché lo scettro dell’empietà non sempre rimarrà sulla eredità dei giusti, onde i giusti non mettan mano all’iniquità.

4 Yahweh, do good things to those who do good things to others and to those who sincerely obey your commands [IDM].

O Eterno, fa’ del bene a quelli che son buoni, e a quelli che son retti nel loro cuore.

5 But when you punish the wicked people [who are not Israelis], also punish those [Israelis] who turn away from walking on the good roads [MET] that you have shown them! I wish that things will go well for [people in] Israel!

Ma quanto a quelli che deviano per le loro vie tortuose, l’Eterno li farà andare con gli operatori d’iniquità. Pace sia sopra Israele.
