Psalms 125

1 Those/We who trust in Yahweh are [as secure/steadfast] [SIM] as Zion Hill, which cannot be shaken and can never be moved.

Cantique graduel. Ceux qui se confient dans l'Éternel, sont comme la montagne de Sion, elle est inébranlable et stable éternellement.

2 Like the hills that surround Jerusalem [protect the city], Yahweh protects [us], his people, and he will protect us forever.

Des montagnes entourent Jérusalem: ainsi l'Éternel entoure son peuple dès maintenant à jamais.

3 Wicked people [MTY] should not [be allowed to] rule over the land where righteous [people] live. If they did that, those righteous [people] might [(be encouraged to imitate them and]) do things that are wrong.

Car le sceptre de l'impie ne restera pas sur le lot des justes, afin que les justes ne portent pas leurs mains au mal.

4 Yahweh, do good things to those who do good things to others and to those who sincerely obey your commands [IDM].

Éternel, fais du bien aux hommes de bien, et à ceux qui sont droits en leurs cœurs!

5 But when you punish the wicked people [who are not Israelis], also punish those [Israelis] who turn away from walking on the good roads [MET] that you have shown them! I wish that things will go well for [people in] Israel!

Pour ceux qui dévient et prennent des voies tortueuses, que l'Éternel les perde avec les artisans du crime! Paix soit à Israël!
