Psalms 123

1 Yahweh, I look up toward you, up to heaven, from where you rule.

आराधना के लिए यात्रियों का गीत. मैं अपनी आंखें आपकी ओर उठाए हुए हूं, आपकी ओर, जिनका सिंहासन स्वर्ग में स्थापित है.

2 Like servants ask [IDM] their masters [for what they need] and like maids ask t their mistresses [for what they need], we ask you, Yahweh our God, [for what we need], and we ask you to be merciful to us.

वैसे ही जिस प्रकार दासों की दृष्टि अपने स्वामी के हाथ की ओर लगी रहती है, जैसी दासी की दृष्टि अपनी स्वामिनी के हाथ की ओर लगी रहती है. ठीक इसी प्रकार हमारी दृष्टि याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर की ओर लगी रहती है, जब तक वह हम पर कृपादृष्टि नहीं करते.

3 Yahweh, be very merciful [DOU] to us because [our enemies] have acted very contemptuously toward us.

हम पर कृपा कीजिए, याहवेह, हम पर कृपा कीजिए, हमने बहुत तिरस्कार सहा है.

4 Rich people have made fun of us for a long time, and proud [people] who have (oppressed/acted cruelly toward) us have acted toward us as though we were worthless.

हमने अहंकारियों द्वारा घोर उपहास भी सहा है, हम अहंकारियों के घोर घृणा के पात्र होकर रह गए हैं.
