Psalms 122

1 I was glad/happy when people said to me, “We should go to the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem]!”

ଆରୋହଣ ଗୀତ; ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ରଚିତ। “ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଯାଉ,” ଏହି କଥା ଲୋକମାନେ ମୋତେ କହିବା ବେଳେ ମୁଁ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେଲି।

2 And now we are here, standing inside the gates/city of [APO] Jerusalem.

ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦ୍ୱାର ଭିତରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଚରଣ ଠିଆ ହେଉଅଛି;

3 Jerusalem is a city that has been rebuilt, with the result that people can gather together in it.

ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ଏକ ନଗର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ନିର୍ମିତ ହୋଇଅଛ;

4 We [people of the] tribes of Israel who belong to Yahweh can now go up there as Yahweh commanded that we should do, and we can thank him.

ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀବର୍ଗ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍‍, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀବର୍ଗ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ପ୍ରତି ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମକୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେଠାରେ ଆରୋହଣ କରନ୍ତି।

5 There the kings of Israel who were descendants of [King] David sit on their thrones and decide cases [fairly when the people have disputes].

କାରଣ ସେଠାରେ ବିଚାରାର୍ଥକ ସିଂହାସନ, ଦାଉଦ-ବଂଶର ସିଂହାସନସବୁ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ଅଛି।

6 Pray that there will be peace in Jerusalem; I desire that those who love Jerusalem will (prosper/live peacefully).

ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଶାନ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର; ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସ୍ନେହ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଅଶେଷ ଉନ୍ନତି କରିବେ।

7 I desire that there will be peace inside the walls of the city and that [people who are] inside the palaces will be safe.

ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଟ୍ଟାଳିକାସମୂହର ସୌଭାଗ୍ୟ ହେଉ।

8 For the sake of my relatives and friends, I say, “My desire is that that inside Jerusalem [people will live] peacefully.”

ମୋହର ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣ ଓ ମିତ୍ରଗଣ ସକାଶେ ମୁଁ ଏବେ କହିବି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତୁ।

9 And because I love the temple of Yahweh our God, I pray that things will go well for the people who live [in Jerusalem].

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ସକାଶେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବି।
