< Psalms 121 >

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”
Nkunga wuyimbudulu mu nzila yikuendila ku nzo Yave. Ndimvumbulanga meso mama ku miongo, kuevi kuela totukila lusadusu luama e?
2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.
Lusadusu luama luntotukila kuidi Yave; mvangi wu diyilu ayi ntoto.
3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.
Kalendi bika ko kulu kuaku kusialumuka; mutu wowo weti kukebanga kalendi niungina ko.
4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].
Bukiedika, mutu wowo weti sunga Iseli, kalendi niungina ko voti leka tulu ko
5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].
Yave niandi wukusunganga, niandi kitsusula kiaku va koko kuaku ku lubakala.
6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.
Thangu yilendi ku vanga ko mbimbi va muini voti ngondi va builu.
7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.
Yave wela kukebanga mu mambimbi moso, niandi wela sunganga luzingu luaku.
8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.
Yave wela kusunga mu kuiza kuaku ayi mu kuenda kuaku tona buabu nate mu zithangu zioso.
