< Psalms 121 >

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”
Levantaré mis ojos a las montañas. ¿De dónde vendrá mi socorro?
2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.
Mi socorro [viene] de Yavé, Quien hizo [el] cielo y [la] tierra.
3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.
No permitirá que tu pie resbale, Ni se dormirá el que te guarda.
4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].
Ciertamente, no se adormecerá ni dormirá, El que guarda a Israel.
5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].
Yavé es tu Guardador, Yavé es tu Sombra a tu mano derecha.
6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.
El sol no te fatigará de día, Ni la luna de noche.
7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.
Yavé te protegerá de todo mal. Él guardará tu alma.
8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.
Yavé guardará tu salida y tu entrada Desde ahora y para siempre.
