< Psalms 121 >
1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”
Una canción de ascensos. Alzaré mis ojos a las colinas. ¿De dónde viene mi ayuda?
2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.
Mi ayuda viene de Yahvé, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.
No permitirá que tu pie se mueva. El que te guarda no dormirá.
4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].
He aquí que el que guarda a Israel no se adormecerá ni dormirá.
5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].
Yahvé es tu guardián. Yahvé es tu sombra a tu derecha.
6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.
El sol no te dañará de día, ni la luna de noche.
7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.
El Señor te guardará de todo mal. Él guardará tu alma.
8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.
Yahvé guardará tu salida y tu entrada, a partir de este momento, y para siempre.
