Psalms 121

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”

O cântare a treptelor. Îmi ridic ochii spre munți, de unde îmi vine ajutorul.

2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.

Ajutorul îmi vine de la DOMNUL, care a făcut cerul și pământul.

3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.

El nu va lăsa să ți se clatine piciorul, cel ce te păzește nu va dormita.

4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].

Iată, cel ce păzește pe Israel nu va dormita, nici nu va dormi.

5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].

DOMNUL este păzitorul tău, DOMNUL este umbra ta peste dreapta ta.

6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.

Soarele nu te va lovi ziua, nici luna noaptea.

7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.

DOMNUL te va păstra de la tot răul, îți va păstra sufletul.

8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.

DOMNUL va păstra ieșirea ta și intrarea ta, de acum înainte și pentru totdeauna.
