Psalms 121

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”

ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಗೀತೆ. ನಾನು ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಸಹಾಯವು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬರುವುದು?

2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.

ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಸಹಾಯವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.

3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.

ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಕದಲಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ದೇವರು ತೂಕಡಿಸುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].

ಇಗೋ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ದೇವರು ತೂಕಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿದ್ರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರಳಿನಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.

ಹಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಾನಿಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂದ್ರನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವರು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಕಾಪಾಡುವರು.

8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ನೀವು ಹೋಗುವಾಗಲೂ ಬರುವಾಗಲೂ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವರು.
