Psalms 121

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”

आराधना के लिए यात्रियों का गीत. मैं अपनी आंखें पर्वतों की ओर उठाता— क्या मेरी सहायता का स्रोत वहां है?

2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.

मेरी सहायता का स्रोत तो याहवेह हैं, स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी के कर्ता.

3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.

वह तुम्हारा पैर फिसलने न देंगे; वह, जो तुम्हें सुरक्षित रखते हैं, झपकी नहीं लेते.

4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].

निश्चयतः इस्राएल के रक्षक न तो झपकी लेंगे और न सो जाएंगे.

5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].

याहवेह तुम्हें सुरक्षित रखते हैं— तुम्हारे दायें पक्ष में उपस्थित याहवेह तुम्हारी सुरक्षा की छाया हैं;

6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.

न तो दिन के समय सूर्य से तुम्हारी कोई हानि होगी, और न रात्रि में चंद्रमा से.

7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.

सभी प्रकार की बुराई से याहवेह तुम्हारी रक्षा करेंगे, वह तुम्हारे जीवन की रक्षा करेंगे;

8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.

तुम्हारे आने जाने में याहवेह तुम्हें सुरक्षित रखेंगे, वर्तमान में और सदा-सर्वदा.
