Psalms 121

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”

একটি আরোহণ সংগীত। আমি পর্বতমালার দিকে চেয়ে দেখি— কোথা থেকে আমার সাহায্য আসে?

2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.

স্বর্গ ও পৃথিবীর সৃষ্টিকর্তা, সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে আমার সাহায্য আসে।

3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.

তিনি তোমাকে হোঁচট খেতে দেবেন না, তোমার রক্ষক তন্দ্রাচ্ছন্ন হবেন না;

4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].

সত্যিই, যিনি ইস্রায়েলের রক্ষক, তিনি তন্দ্রাচ্ছন্ন বা নিদ্রামগ্ন হবেন না।

5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].

সদাপ্রভু তোমার রক্ষক, সদাপ্রভু তোমার ডানদিকে তোমার ছায়া;

6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.

দিনে সূর্য তোমার ক্ষতি করবে না, এমনকি রাতে চাঁদও করবে না।

7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.

সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে সব অমঙ্গল থেকে রক্ষা করবেন আর তিনি তোমার প্রাণরক্ষা করবেন;

8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.

তোমার যাওয়া-আসার পথে সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে রক্ষা করবেন এখন থেকে চিরকাল পর্যন্ত।
