< Psalms 120 >
1 When I had troubles, I called out to Yahweh and he answered me.
V svoji tegobi sem klical h Gospodu in me je slišal.
2 [I prayed], “Yahweh, rescue/save me from people [SYN, MTY] who lie to me and [try to] deceive me!”
Osvobodi mojo dušo, oh Gospod, pred lažnivimi ustnicami in pred varljivim jezikom.
3 You people who lie to me, [I will tell you] [RHQ] what [God] will do to you and what he will do to punish you.
Kaj ti bo dano? Ali kaj ti bo storjeno, ti varljiv jezik?
4 He will shoot sharp arrows at you like soldiers do, and he will [burn you with] red-hot coals from [the wood of] a broom tree.
Ostre puščice mogočnega z brinovo žerjavico.
5 It is terrible for me, living among cruel/savage [DOU] people [like those who live] in Meshech [region] and Kedar [region].
Gorje meni, da se mudim v Mešehu, da prebivam v kedárskih šotorih!
6 I have lived for a long time among people who hate [to live with others] peacefully.
Moja duša je dolgo prebivala s tistim, ki sovraži mir.
7 Every time I talk about living together peacefully, they talk about starting a war.
Jaz sem za mir, toda ko govorim, so oni za vojno.
