Psalms 115
1 Yahweh, people should praise [only] you [MTY]; they must praise you, not us, because you faithfully love us and always do what you have promised to do.
हाम्रो होइन, हे परमप्रभु, हाम्रो होइन, तर तपाईंको करारको विश्वस्तता र तपाईंको सत्यताको खातिर तपाईंको नाउँको महिमा होस् ।
2 It is not right that [RHQ] [other] people-groups should say about us, “[They claim that] their God [is very powerful], but [if that is true], why does he not [help them]?”
जातिहरूले किन यसो भन्ने, “तिनीहरूका परमेश्वर कहाँ छ?”
3 Our God is in heaven, and he does whatever he wants to!
हाम्रा परमेश्वर स्वर्गमा हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँले जे इच्छा गर्नुहुन्छ त्यही उहाँले गर्नुहुन्छ ।
4 [But] their idols are only [statues made of] silver and gold, things that humans have made.
जातिहरूको मूर्तीहरू सुन र चाँदी अर्थात् मानिसहरूका हातका काम हुन् ।
5 Their idols have mouths, but they cannot say [anything]; they have eyes, but they cannot see [anything].
ती मूर्तीहरूका मुखहरू छन्, तर ती बोल्दैनन् । तिनीहरूका आँखाहरू छन्, तर तिनले देख्दैनन् ।
6 They have ears, but they cannot hear [anything]; they have noses, but they cannot smell [anything].
तिनीहरूका कानहरू छन्, तर तिनले सुन्दैनन् । तिनीहरूका नाकहरू छन्, तर तिनले सुँघ्दैनन् ।
7 They have hands, but they cannot feel [anything]; they have feet, but they cannot walk, and they have throats but cannot [even] make any sounds!
ती मूर्तीहरूका हातहरू छन् तर छोएको तिनले थाहा पाउँदैनन् । तिनीहरूका खुट्टाहरू छन्, तर तिनीहरू हिंड्न सक्दैनन् । न त तिनीहरूले आफ्ना मुखबाट बोल्न सक्छन् ।
8 The people who make those idols are [as powerless] as those idols, and those who trust in those idols [can accomplish nothing], just like their idols!
तिनीहरूलाई बनाउनेहरू तिनीहरूजस्तै छन्, तिनीहरूमा भरोसा गर्ने हरेक व्यक्ति त्यस्तै हुन्छ ।
9 You, [my fellow] Israeli people, trust in Yahweh! He is the one who helps you and [protects you like] [MET] a shield.
ए इस्राएल परमप्रभुमा भरोसा गर् । उहाँ तेरो सहायता र ढाल हुनुहुन्छ ।
10 You priests [MTY], trust in Yahweh! He is the one who helps you and [protects you like] [MET] a shield.
ए हारूनका घराना, परमप्रभुमा भरोसा गर् । उहाँ तेरो सहायता र ढाल हुनुहुन्छ ।
11 [All] you who revere Yahweh, trust in him! He is the one who helps you and [protects you like] [MET] a shield.
तिमीहरू जसले परमप्रभुलाई आदर गर्छौ उहाँमा भरोसा गर । उहाँ तिमीहरूका सहायता र ढाल हुनुहुन्छ ।
12 Yahweh has not forgotten us; he will bless us Israeli people [MTY]! He will bless the priests,
परमप्रभुले हामीलाई ध्यान दिनुहुन्छ र हामीलाई आशिष् दिनुहुन्छ । उहाँले इस्राएलका घरानालाई आशिष् दिनुहुनेछ । उहाँले हारूनका घरानालाई आशिष् दिनुहुनेछ ।
13 and he will bless [all] those who revere him; he will bless important [people] and people [who are considered to be] unimportant, [everyone!]
उहाँलाई आदर गर्नेहरू, जवान र वृद्ध दुवैलाई उहाँले आशिष् दिनुहुनेछ ।
14 I desire that Yahweh will give many children to you [my fellow-Israeli people], and to your descendants.
परमप्रभुले, तिमीहरूलाई, अर्थात् तिमीहरू र तिमीहरूका सन्तानहरूका सङ्ख्या धेरै वृद्धि गरून् ।
15 I desire that Yahweh, the one who made heaven and the earth, will bless [all of] you!
परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूलाई आशिष् देऊन्, जसले स्वर्ग र पृथ्वी बनाउनुभयो ।
16 The [highest] heavens belong to Yahweh, but he gave [everything that is on] the earth to [us] people.
स्वर्ग परमप्रभुकै हो । तर पृथ्वीचाहिं उहाँले मानवजातिलाई दिनुभएको छ ।
17 Dead [people] are not [able to] praise Yahweh; when they descend into the place where dead people are, they are unable to speak and cannot praise him.
मृतहरूले परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा गर्दैनन्, न त तल शान्तमा जाने कसैले गर्नेछ ।
18 But we [who are alive] will thank/praise him, now and forever. Praise Yahweh!
तर हामी परमप्रभुलाई अहिले र सदासर्वदा धन्यवाद दिनेछौं । परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा गर ।
