Psalms 114

1 When the Israeli [people] left Egypt, when they who were descendants of Jacob left people who spoke a foreign/different language,

जब इस्राईल मिस्र से निकलआया, या'नी या'क़ूब का घराना अजनबी ज़बान वाली क़ौम में से;

2 [the land of] Judah became the place where people worshiped God; and Israel became the land (OR, the [Israeli people] became the people) that he ruled over.

तो यहूदाह उसका हैकल, और इस्राईल उसकी ममलुकत ठहरा।

3 [When they came to] the [Red] Sea, [it was as though the water] saw [them] and ran away! When they came to the Jordan [River], that [water in the] river stopped flowing [so that the Israelis could cross it].

यह देखते ही समन्दर भागा; यरदन पीछे हट गया।

4 [When they came to Sinai Mountain and there was a big earthquake], [it was as though] the mountains skipped/jumped like goats do and the hills jumped around like lambs do.

पहाड़ मेंढों की तरह उछले, पहाड़ियाँ भेड़ के बच्चों की तरह कूदे।

5 [If someone asks], “What happened at the [Red] Sea that caused the water to run away? What happened that caused [the water in] the Jordan [River] to stop flowing?

ऐ समन्दर, तुझे क्या हुआ के तू भागता है? ऐ यरदन, तुझे क्या हुआ कि तू पीछे हटता है?

6 What happened that caused the mountains to skip like goats and caused the hills to jump around like lambs?”

ऐ पहाड़ो, तुम को क्या हुआ के तुम मेंढों की तरह उछलते हो? ऐ पहाड़ियो, तुम को क्या हुआ के तुम भेड़ के बच्चों की तरह कूदती हो?

7 [I would reply that] it was the presence of the Lord that caused those things to happen! [Everyone/Everything on] the earth should tremble in the presence of God, whom (Jacob [worshiped]/the Israeli people [worship])!

ऐ ज़मीन, तू रब्ब के सामने, या'क़ूब के ख़ुदा के सामने थरथरा;

8 He is the one who caused pools of water [for the Israeli people to drink to flow] from a rock; he caused a spring [to flow] from a solid rock cliff!

जो चट्टान को झील, और चक़माक़ की पानी का चश्मा बना देता है।
