Psalms 112

1 Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.

Aleluja! Blagor mu, kdor, koli se boji Gospoda, v zapovedih njegovih raduje se močno.

2 Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].

Mogočno bode na zemlji seme njegovo; pravičnih rod se blagoslavlja.

3 Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.

Moč in bogastvo v hiši njegovi in pravica njegova ostane vekomaj.

4 Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.

V temi blišči luč pravičnih; milosten je, usmiljen in pravičen.

5 Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.

Kdor je dober, darí deli milostno in posoja; svoje reči vlada po dolžnosti.

6 Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].

Ker vekomaj ne omahne; v večnem spominu je pravični.

7 They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.

Hudega glasu se ne boji, z mirnim srcem svojim zaupajoč v Gospoda.

8 They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.

V srci svojem podprt se ne boji, dokler ne vidi hudega na sovražnikih svojih.

9 They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.

Razsiplje, daje potrebnim, pravica njegova ostane vekomaj; rog njegov se dviguje v časti.

10 Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.

Krivični pa vidi in se huduje, sè zobmí svojimi škripajoč koprní; krivičnih želja bode minila.
