Psalms 112

1 Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.

Halleluja! Salig er den, der frygter Herren og ret har lyst til hans bud!

2 Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].

Hans Æt bliver mægtig på Jord, den oprigtiges Slægt velsignes;

3 Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.

Velstand og Rigdom er i hans Hus, hans Retfærdighed varer evindelig.

4 Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.

For den oprigtige oprinder Lys i Mørke; han er mild, barmhjertig retfærdig.

5 Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.

Salig den, der ynkes og låner ud og styrer sine Sager med Ret;

6 Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].

thi han rokkes aldrig i Evighed, den retfærdige ihukommes for evigt;

7 They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.

han frygter ikke for onde Tidender, hans Hjerte er trøstigt i Tillid, til HERREN;

8 They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.

fast er hans Hjerte og uden Frygt, indtil han skuer sine Fjender med Fryd;

9 They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.

til fattige deler han rundhåndet ud, hans Retfærdighed varer evindelig; med Ære løfter hans Horn sig.

10 Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.

Den gudløse ser det og græmmer sig, skærer Tænder og går til Grunde; de gudløses Attrå bliver til intet.
