Psalms 112

1 Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.

2 Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].

Anih ih caanawk loe long nuiah thacak o tih; katoeng kami ih caanawk loe tahamhoih o tih.

3 Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.

A im ah hmuenmae hoi angraenghaih to om tih; a toenghaih loe dungzan khoek to om poe tih.

4 Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.

Katoeng kami hanah loe, khoving thungah aanghaih to oh. To baktih kami loe tahmenhaih hoi amlunghaih to tawnh moe, toenghaih hoiah tok to sak.

5 Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.

Kuuhoih moe, paek koehhaih palungthin tawn kami loe khosak hoih; anih loe toenghaih hoiah tok to sah tih.

6 Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].

Anih loe tasoehhaih om mak ai; katoeng kami loe dungzan khoek to pahnet mak ai.

7 They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.

Tamthang sae to anih mah zii mak ai; Angraeng to a oep pongah, palungthin to cak.

8 They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.

Anih ih palungthin loe cak, a misanawk pazawkhaih hnu ai karoek to zithaih tawn mak ai.

9 They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.

Anih loe amtang kaminawk hanah paek moe, pazet boih pongah, a toenghaih loe dungzan khoek to cak; angmah ih taki to pakoehhaih hoiah tapom tahang tih.

10 Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.

Kahoih ai kami mah anih to hnuk naah, palung naa tih; anih loe haa to kaek ueloe, amro tih; to naah kasae kami koehhaih to anghmaa tih boeh.
