Psalms 107
1 Give thanks to Yahweh, because he always does good [things for us] His faithful love [for us] lasts forever!
Hãy cảm tạ Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì Ngài là thiện! Sự thành tín Ngài còn mãi đời đời.
2 Those whom Yahweh has saved should tell others that he has rescued them from their enemies.
Có phải Chúa Hằng Hữu đã cứu không? Hãy nói lớn! Cho mọi người biết Chúa giải cứu khỏi bọn nghịch thù.
3 He has gathered [those of you] who were [(exiled/taken forcefully)] to many lands; [he has gathered you together from] the east and the west, from the north and from the south.
Chúa đã hội họp dân lưu đày từ các nước, từ đông sang tây, từ bắc chí nam.
4 Some of those [who returned from those countries] wandered in the desert; they were lost and had no homes to live in.
Họ lưu lạc giữa hoang mạc hoang vu, họ lang thang, không nơi trú ẩn.
5 They were hungry and thirsty, and they were very discouraged.
Đói và khát, họ gần như chết.
6 When they were in trouble, they called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from (being distressed/their difficulties).
Lúc gian nan, họ kêu cầu: “Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin cứu giúp!” Ngài liền cứu họ khỏi cảnh đớn đau.
7 He led them along a straight road [where they walked safely] to cities [in Canaan] where they could live.
Chúa dẫn họ theo đường ngay thẳng, đến một thành có thể định cư.
8 They should praise/thank Yahweh for loving them faithfully and for the wonderful things that he does for people.
Nguyện con người ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu vì tình yêu quá lớn của Ngài, và những việc kỳ diệu Ngài đã thực hiện.
9 He gives thirsty people plenty [of water] to drink, and he gives hungry people plenty of good things [to eat].
Chúa thỏa mãn tâm hồn khao khát và cho lòng đói được no nê mãn nguyện.
10 Some of them were in very dark [HEN] (places [in Babylonia/other countries]); they were prisoners, suffering because of chains [fastened to their hands and feet].
Có người đang ngồi trong bóng tối tử vong, bị xiềng xích gông cùm tuyệt vọng.
11 They were in prison because they had (rebelled against/not obeyed) the message of God; they were there because they had despised the advice given by God, who is greater than all other gods.
Họ từng nổi loạn chống đối lời Đức Chúa Trời, khinh miệt sự khuyên dạy của Đấng Chí Cao.
12 [That is why] their bodies were worn out from hard labor; when they fell down, there was no one who would help them.
Nên Ngài dùng gian khổ để kỷ luật họ, họ gục ngã, không người giúp đỡ.
13 In their troubles, they called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from their being distressed.
“Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin cứu giúp!” Họ kêu cầu trong lúc gian nan, và Ngài giải cứu khỏi cơn hoạn nạn.
14 He broke the chains that were on their hands and feet; and brought them out of those very dark [prisons].
Đem họ thoát vùng bóng tối tử vong; và đập tan xiềng xích cùm gông.
15 He broke down the [prison] gates that were made of bronze, and cut through the [prison] bars that were made of iron. [So they also] should praise/thank Yahweh for faithfully loving [them], and for [all] the wonderful things that he does for people.
Nguyện con người ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu vì tình yêu quá lớn của Ngài, và những việc diệu kỳ Ngài thực hiện.
Vì Ngài bẻ gông, xiềng bằng đồng, và cắt đứt song sắt giam cầm họ.
17 Some of them foolishly rebelled [against God], so they suffered for their sins.
Người dại dột theo đường tội lỗi, gặp hoạn nạn, khốn khổ vì ác gian.
18 They did not want to eat any food, and they almost died.
Họ không thiết ăn uống, đến gần cửa tử vong.
19 In their troubles, they [also] called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from their being distressed.
Bấy giờ trong lúc nguy khốn, họ kêu cầu Chúa, Ngài liền cứu họ khỏi cảnh gian nan.
20 When he commanded that they be healed, they were healed; he saved them from dying.
Ngài ra lệnh chữa lành bệnh tật, rút khỏi vòm cửa mộ âm u.
21 They [also] should praise/thank Yahweh for faithfully loving them, and for [all] the wonderful things that he does for people.
Nguyện con người ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu vì tình yêu quá lớn của Ngài và những việc diệu kỳ Ngài thực hiện.
22 They should give offerings to him to show that they are thankful, and they should sing joyfully about the miracles that he has performed.
Nguyện họ dâng tế lễ tạ ơn và hát ca, thuật lại công việc Ngài.
23 Some of them sailed in ships; they were selling things [in ports] throughout the world.
Những ai làm ăn trên biển, những doanh thương xuôi ngược đại dương.
24 [As they were sailing], they also saw the miracles that Yahweh performed, the wonderful things that he did [when they were] on very deep seas.
Đều nhận ra năng quyền Chúa Hằng Hữu, các việc diệu kỳ Ngài thực hiện tại biển sâu.
25 He commanded the winds, and they became strong and (stirred up high waves/caused waves to rise high).
Ngài truyền lệnh nổi cơn gió bão, cho biển sâu sôi động cuồng lan.
26 The ships [in which they were sailing] were tossed high in the air, and [then] they sank into the (troughs/low places) [between the high waves]; then the sailors were terrified.
Nâng tàu lên cao tận trời xanh, rồi chìm xuống đáy vực tan tành; làm ai nấy hồn tan ra nước.
27 They stumbled about and staggered like drunken men, and they did not know what to do.
Như người say quay cuồng lảo đảo, không còn phương cách.
28 In their troubles, they [also] called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from their distresses.
Trong lúc gian nan họ kêu cầu: “Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin cứu giúp!” Và Ngài giải cứu khỏi cơn hoạn nạn.
29 He (calmed the storm/caused the wind to stop blowing), and he caused the waves to completely subside.
Ban lệnh trên gió nước đại dương, cho yên bão lớn, cho ngừng sóng to.
30 They were [very] glad when it became calm; and Yahweh brought them safely into a harbor.
Họ vui mừng vì tai qua nạn khỏi, Chúa dẫn họ về đến bến bờ ước mong.
31 They [also] should praise/thank Yahweh for faithfully loving [them], and for [all] the wonderful things that he does for people.
Nguyện con người ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu vì tình yêu quá lớn của Ngài, và những việc diệu kỳ Ngài thực hiện.
32 They should praise him among the [Israeli] people when they have gathered together, and they should praise him in front of the leaders [of the country].
Hãy vinh danh Chúa cùng hội chúng, trước mặt các lãnh đạo các nước.
33 [Sometimes] Yahweh causes rivers [to become dry], [with the result that the land] becomes a desert, and springs of water become dry land.
Chúa biến sông xanh thành hoang mạc, suối tươi mát ra đất khô khan.
34 [Sometimes] he causes land that has produced lots of crops to become salty wastelands, [with the result that they do not produce crops]. He does that because the people who live there are [very] wicked.
Do lòng gian dối của cư dân, vườn ruộng phì nhiêu thành bãi mặn.
35 [But sometimes] he causes pools of water to appear in deserts, and he causes springs to flow in very dry ground.
Nhưng, Chúa cũng biến hoang mạc thành hồ ao, đất khô tuôn dòng suối ngọt ngào.
36 He brings hungry [people] into that land, to live there and build cities [there].
Ngài đem người đói đến cư trú tại đó và xây dựng thành phố cho dân.
37 They plant seeds in their fields, and they plant grapevines that produce big crops [of grapes].
Họ gieo giống trong ruộng và trồng nho, rồi bội thu mùa màng gặt hái.
38 He blesses the people, and the women give birth to many children, and they have large herds of cattle.
Chúa ban phước cho họ biết bao! Ngài cho dân số họ gia tăng, và súc vật cũng gia tăng không kém.
39 When the number of people becomes smaller and they have been humiliated [by their enemies] by being oppressed and caused to suffer [DOU],
Khi họ bị suy giảm dân số và sa sút, vì áp bức, tai ương, và khổ não.
40 Yahweh shows contempt for the leaders who oppress them, and causes them to wander in deserts where there are no roads.
Chúa Hằng Hữu đổ sự khinh miệt trên các vua chúa, vì khiến họ lang thang trong hoang mạc không lối thoát.
41 But he rescues poor [people] from (being in misery/suffering), and causes their families [to increase in number] like flocks of sheep.
Nhưng Ngài giải cứu người nghèo khổ khỏi hoạn nạn và cho con cháu họ thêm đông như bầy chiên.
42 Godly/Righteous [people will (see/hear about)] these things, and they will rejoice, and wicked people [will hear about these things, too], [but] they will have nothing to say in reply.
Những người công chính sẽ thấy điều này và vui mừng, còn bọn ác nhân đành im hơi nín tiếng.
43 Those who are wise should think carefully about those things; they should consider [all the things] that Yahweh [has done to show that he] faithfully loves [them].
Nguyện người khôn ngoan ghi nhận việc này, để hiểu rõ lòng Chúa Hằng Hữu chí nhân chí ái.
