< Psalms 107 >

1 Give thanks to Yahweh, because he always does good [things for us] His faithful love [for us] lasts forever!
O bay remèsiman a Bondye, paske Li Bon, paske lanmou dous Li dire jis pou tout tan.
2 Those whom Yahweh has saved should tell others that he has rescued them from their enemies.
Kite rachte a SENYÈ yo pale: “Se sa!” (Sila) ke Li fin rachte soti nan men advèsè a,
3 He has gathered [those of you] who were [(exiled/taken forcefully)] to many lands; [he has gathered you together from] the east and the west, from the north and from the south.
e te ranmase soti nan peyi yo, soti nan lès e soti nan lwès, soti nan nò e soti nan sid.
4 Some of those [who returned from those countries] wandered in the desert; they were lost and had no homes to live in.
Yo te mache egare nan dezè yo. Yo pa t jwenn yon vil pou yo ta rete.
5 They were hungry and thirsty, and they were very discouraged.
Yo te grangou ak swaf. Nanm yo te fennen anndan yo.
6 When they were in trouble, they called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from (being distressed/their difficulties).
Yo te kriye fò a SENYÈ a nan gran twoub yo, Konsa, Li te delivre yo sòti nan twoub yo.
7 He led them along a straight road [where they walked safely] to cities [in Canaan] where they could live.
Anplis, Li te mennen yo pa yon chemen dwat, pou rive nan yon vil ki deja etabli ak moun ladann.
8 They should praise/thank Yahweh for loving them faithfully and for the wonderful things that he does for people.
Kite yo bay remèsiman a SENYÈ a pou lanmou dous Li a, pou mèvèy Li yo anvè fis a lòm yo!
9 He gives thirsty people plenty [of water] to drink, and he gives hungry people plenty of good things [to eat].
Paske Li te satisfè nanm swaf la, e nanm grangou a, Li te ranpli li ak sa ki bon.
10 Some of them were in very dark [HEN] (places [in Babylonia/other countries]); they were prisoners, suffering because of chains [fastened to their hands and feet].
Te gen (sila) ki te viv nan tenèb yo ak nan lonbraj lanmò yo, Prizonye yo nan mizè ak chenn yo,
11 They were in prison because they had (rebelled against/not obeyed) the message of God; they were there because they had despised the advice given by God, who is greater than all other gods.
akoz yo te fè rebèl kont pawòl Bondye a, e te meprize konsèy a Pi Wo a.
12 [That is why] their bodies were worn out from hard labor; when they fell down, there was no one who would help them.
Akoz sa, Li te imilye kè yo ak travay fòse. Yo te chape tonbe e pa t gen moun ki pou bay yo sekou.
13 In their troubles, they called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from their being distressed.
Epi nan gwo pwoblèm yo, yo te rele fò a SENYÈ a. Li te delivre yo sòti nan gwo twoub yo.
14 He broke the chains that were on their hands and feet; and brought them out of those very dark [prisons].
Li te mennen yo sòti nan tenèb la, nan lonbraj lanmò a, e te kase chire kòd li yo.
15 He broke down the [prison] gates that were made of bronze, and cut through the [prison] bars that were made of iron. [So they also] should praise/thank Yahweh for faithfully loving [them], and for [all] the wonderful things that he does for people.
Kite yo bay remèsiman a SENYÈ a pou Lanmou dous Li a ak pou mèvèy Li yo anvè fis a lòm yo!
Paske Li te kraze pòtay an bwonz yo, e te koupe ba fè yo.
17 Some of them foolishly rebelled [against God], so they suffered for their sins.
Yo te vin fou nèt nan rebelyon yo e akoz inikite yo, yo te aflije.
18 They did not want to eat any food, and they almost died.
Nanm yo te rayi tout kalite manje e yo te rive toupre pòtay lanmò yo.
19 In their troubles, they [also] called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from their being distressed.
Konsa yo te kriye fò a SENYÈ a nan gran mizè yo, e Li te sove yo sòti nan gwo pwoblèm yo.
20 When he commanded that they be healed, they were healed; he saved them from dying.
Li te voye pawòl Li pou te geri yo, pou te delivre yo sòti nan destriksyon yo.
21 They [also] should praise/thank Yahweh for faithfully loving them, and for [all] the wonderful things that he does for people.
Kite yo bay remèsiman pou Lanmou dous Li a, ak mèvèy Li yo anvè fis a lòm yo!
22 They should give offerings to him to show that they are thankful, and they should sing joyfully about the miracles that he has performed.
Anplis, kite yo ofri sakrifis a remèsiman yo e pale sou afè zèv Li yo ak chan lajwa.
23 Some of them sailed in ships; they were selling things [in ports] throughout the world.
(Sila) ki desann bò kote lanmè nan bato yo, ki fè komès sou gwo dlo yo,
24 [As they were sailing], they also saw the miracles that Yahweh performed, the wonderful things that he did [when they were] on very deep seas.
yo te konn wè zèv SENYÈ yo, avèk mèvèy Li yo nan gran fon an.
25 He commanded the winds, and they became strong and (stirred up high waves/caused waves to rise high).
Paske Li te pale e fè leve yon gwo van tanpèt, ki te fè leve gwo vag lanmè yo.
26 The ships [in which they were sailing] were tossed high in the air, and [then] they sank into the (troughs/low places) [between the high waves]; then the sailors were terrified.
Yo te leve jis rive nan syèl yo e te desann jis rive nan fon yo. Nanm yo te fann avèk mizè.
27 They stumbled about and staggered like drunken men, and they did not know what to do.
Yo te gaye, bite tankou moun sou. Yo te fin about nèt.
28 In their troubles, they [also] called out to Yahweh, and he rescued them from their distresses.
Yo te kriye a Bondye nan mizè yo, e Li te mennen yo sòti nan twoub yo.
29 He (calmed the storm/caused the wind to stop blowing), and he caused the waves to completely subside.
Li te fè tanpèt la vin kalm, jiskaske vag lanmè yo te vin kalm.
30 They were [very] glad when it became calm; and Yahweh brought them safely into a harbor.
Konsa, yo te kontan akoz yo te kalme, e Li te gide yo pou rive nan pò ke yo te pito a.
31 They [also] should praise/thank Yahweh for faithfully loving [them], and for [all] the wonderful things that he does for people.
Kite yo bay remèsiman a SENYÈ a pou lanmou dous Li a, pou mèvèy Li yo anvè fis a lòm yo!
32 They should praise him among the [Israeli] people when they have gathered together, and they should praise him in front of the leaders [of the country].
Kite yo leve L wo, anplis, nan asanble a pèp la, e beni Li nan asanble ansyen yo.
33 [Sometimes] Yahweh causes rivers [to become dry], [with the result that the land] becomes a desert, and springs of water become dry land.
Li chanje rivyè yo vin tounen dezè, e sous dlo yo an tè deseche.
34 [Sometimes] he causes land that has produced lots of crops to become salty wastelands, [with the result that they do not produce crops]. He does that because the people who live there are [very] wicked.
Yon tè fètil vin tounen savann tè sale, akoz mechanste a (sila) ki rete ladann yo.
35 [But sometimes] he causes pools of water to appear in deserts, and he causes springs to flow in very dry ground.
Li chanje dezè a vin tounen gwo sous dlo, e tè deseche a an sous k ap koule.
36 He brings hungry [people] into that land, to live there and build cities [there].
Epi la, li fè moun grangou yo vin rete, pou yo vin etabli yon vil ki plen moun,
37 They plant seeds in their fields, and they plant grapevines that produce big crops [of grapes].
pou yo ka plante chan yo, plante chan rezen yo, e ranmase yon gwo rekòlt.
38 He blesses the people, and the women give birth to many children, and they have large herds of cattle.
Anplis, Li beni yo! Yo miltipliye anpil, e li pa kite bèt chan pa yo bese.
39 When the number of people becomes smaller and they have been humiliated [by their enemies] by being oppressed and caused to suffer [DOU],
Lè yo vin febli, koube nèt, akoz opresyon avèk mizè ak tristès,
40 Yahweh shows contempt for the leaders who oppress them, and causes them to wander in deserts where there are no roads.
Li vide wont sou prens yo e fè yo vin mache egare nan yon savann ki san chemen.
41 But he rescues poor [people] from (being in misery/suffering), and causes their families [to increase in number] like flocks of sheep.
Men Li fè malere a chita wo ansekirite, byen lwen tout afliksyon, e fè fanmi li yo byen pwoteje kon yon twoupo.
42 Godly/Righteous [people will (see/hear about)] these things, and they will rejoice, and wicked people [will hear about these things, too], [but] they will have nothing to say in reply.
Moun dwat yo wè l e yo kontan. Men tout mechan yo fèmen bouch yo.
43 Those who are wise should think carefully about those things; they should consider [all the things] that Yahweh [has done to show that he] faithfully loves [them].
Se kilès ki saj? Kite li bay atansyon a bagay sa yo e konsidere lanmou dous SENYÈ a.
