< Proverbs 8 >
1 It is as if wisdom, with great understanding [of many things], is calling [PRS] out [to people].
Nabima! Bagade Dawa: su Hou ida: iwane da dima wele sia: nana. Asigi dawa: su hou da sia: daha.
2 Wisdom stands on hilltops and at crossroads.
Bagade Dawa: su Hou da goumi da: iya amola logo bega: logo bulufalegeiga lela.
3 [Wisdom also stands] at the city gates and shouts loudly,
Amola moilai bai bagade sogebi amola logo holei gadenene e da lela agoane wele sia: nana,
4 “I am calling to everyone! I am shouting loudly to all people!
“Na dilima sia: sa! Dunu fifi asi gala! Na da wele sia: nana! Osobo bagade fi huluane dilima.
5 You people who do not know how to do things that are smart to do, get sound judgment; you foolish people, get good understanding!
Nowa dunu asigi dawa: su hame galea, asigi dawa: su ida: iwane gala amo lama, amola asigi dawa: su noga: le dawa: ma. Di da gagaoui esalabala: ? Asigi dawa: su ida: iwane lama.
6 Listen to me, because I have some excellent/important things to say. What I say is what is fair/right.
Nabima! Na sia: amo da ida: iwane gala. Na sia: su da moloidafa fawane.
7 I speak what is true; I detest speaking [MTY] what is false/deceptive.
Na adi sia: be amo da dafawanedafa. Na da ogogosu bagade higasa.
8 Everything that I say is honest; there is nothing that I say that deceives [people].
Liligi na sia: be amo da dafawane. Afae da ogogole hame sia: sa amola giadofale hame ahoa.
9 My words are clear to those who have good sense; those who are wise know that what I say is right.
Amola dunu ea dogo ganodini, hadigi amola asigi dawa: su gala, amo dunu da na sia: noga: le ba: sa.
10 [If someone offers you the kind of teaching I give] or offers you silver, choose my teaching. [If he offers to show you how to be wise] or offers you gold, choose to know how to be wise,
Silifa liligi amoma mae dawa: ma. Be na olelebe liligi amo dawa: ma. Amola noga: idafa gouli mae dawa: ma. Be na sia: ida: iwane, amoma dawa: ma.
11 because wisdom is more valuable than jewels. Nothing that you desire [is as valuable] as being wise.
Na da Bagade Dawa: su Hou. Na da ida: iwanedafa amola na da igi su bagadega lasu liligi baligi dagoi, amola dia hanasu liligi baligi dagoi.
12 I, wisdom, and understanding of what is smart to do, cannot be separated. We are like two people who live in the same house. I know how to be wise and how to make smart decisions.
Na da Bagade Dawa: su Hou. Na da asigi dawa: su hou amola moloidafa fofada: su hou dawa:
13 [All the people] who revere Yahweh hate evil. I, wisdom, hate [people who are] proud and [people] who think they are more important [than others]. I hate [people who] behave in an evil way and those who say things to deceive [others].
Nowa da Hina Godema nodone dawa: be da wadela: i hou amola ledo huluane higasa. Na da amoma higasa amola nowa da hifawane hina: dio gaguia gadosea amola wadela: i hou amola ogogosu hamonanebe, amo huluane na higasa.
14 I give [people] good advice and I enable them to do things that are wise. I understand how things really are, and I am strong.
Na da adi hamomusa: ilegesea na da didili hamomu. Na da asigi dawa: su gala amola na da gasa bagade gala.
15 When kings are wise, they rule [well]; and when rulers are wise, they make laws that are just/fair.
Na da hina bagade dunu fidisa amola ouligisu dunu noga: le ouligima: ne fidisa.
16 Rulers govern their people with the help of me, wisdom, and those who have authority decide things fairly/just with my help.
Osobo bagade ouligisu dunu huluanedafa da na fidibiba: le, ouligisu hou hamosa.
17 I, [wisdom], love [all] those who love me, and [all] those who truly seek me [will] find me.
Na da nowa dunu da nama asigisia, ilima asigisa. Amola nowa da na hogosea e da ba: mu.
18 I enable [people] to become rich and to be honored; [I enable them to have] wealth that will last and to be successful.
Na da liligi bagade amola mimogo hou amola didili hamosu hou amo osobo bagadega esalebe dunu ilima imunusa: dawa:
19 What I can give people is more valuable than fine/pure gold and the best silver.
Adi liligi dia nama lasea amo da liligi ida: iwane. Amo da gouli liligi amola silifa liligi baligi dagoi.
20 I always do what is righteous and just/fair.
Amola eso huluane na da moloi hou amo ganodini ahoana. Na da moloidafa fofada: su hamonana.
21 I give wealth to those who love me; I fill their houses with valuable things.
Na da nowa dunu da nama asigi galea, ilima liligi bagade iaha. Na da gobolo liligi noga: idafa amoga ilia diasu nabalesisa.
22 Yahweh created me, [wisdom], when he began [to create the world]; he created me [to do my work] before he created anything else.
Musa: hemonega, Hina Gode da osobo bagade mae hamone, E da na hidadea hahamoi, amalalu liligi huluane da hahamoi.
23 He appointed me long ago, before he created the earth.
Hina Gode da na bisili musa: dafa hahamoi, amalalu osobo bagade hahamoi.
24 I was born before the oceans were [created], when there were no springs from which water flowed.
Na da hidadea lalelegei amola hano wayabo amola hano bubuga: su da fa: no hahamoi.
25 I was born before the hills and mountains were formed;
Amola Hina Gode da na hidadea hahamoi amalalu goumi amola agolo da fa: no hahamoi.
26 [I, wisdom], was born before Yahweh made the earth, before he made the fields and the soil on the earth.
Gode da osobo bagade amola osobo su hahamoi. Be na (Bagade Dawa: su Hou) da amo bisili esalu.
27 I was there when Yahweh put the sky in place, when he marked the place [in the distance] where the sky and the oceans [seem to] come together.
Gode da mu amo gadodili ligisia amola hano wayabo bagade amola mu mae gilisima: ne alalo hamonoba, na da amogai esalebe ba: i.
28 I was there when Yahweh put the clouds above [the earth] and when he caused the water that is inside the earth to be secure.
Amola e da mu mobi hahamoi mu da: iya gado amola e da hano wayabo bagade amola hahamonoba, na da esalebe ba: i.
29 I was there when he fixed a boundary for the seas, so that the water in the seas would not go past those boundaries, and when he put down the foundations which support the earth.
Amola E Hi sia: defele hano wayabo da heda: i amola hano wayabo da Hi sia: i defele osoboba: le hame heda: i, amola E da osobo bagade gagumusa: osobo bagade ea bai hidadea ilegeloba, na da esalebe ba: i.
30 I was at the side of Yahweh, the master worker (OR, as though I was his child). I caused him to be happy every day, and I was always rejoicing when I was with him.
Amo esoga na amola da Hina Gode guga esalu. Na da fedege agoane, diasu gagumusa: dedesu dunu agoai E guga esalu. Na da esalebeba: le, E da hahawane galu amola na da Ema nodonanu.
31 I was delighted with the world that he created; I was happy with the people whom he created, too.
Amola na da osobo bagade amoma hahawane ba: i amola fifi asi gala huluane ilima hahawane bagade galu.
32 So, [you people who are like] my sons, listen to me. [I am] pleased with [all] those who obey my teachings.
Wali goi ayeligi dilia! Noga: le nabima! Amola na sia: be defele hamoma amasea di da hahawane ganumu.
33 Listen [carefully] to what I teach you and become wise. Do not reject my teaching!
Nabima! Dilia na olelei defele hamoma. Amola dilia na olelei liligi amoma mae higama, amasea di da hahawane esalumu.
34 [I am] pleased with those who listen to me, those who are outside my house every day, waiting [for me to come out].
Nowa dunu da na bagade dawa: su sia: nabasea, e da hahawanedafa ba: mu. Nowa da eso huluane na logo holeiga bagade dawa: su lama: ne lelea, da hahawane ba: mu.
35 Those who find me will have [a long] life, and Yahweh [will] be pleased with them.
Nowa dunu da na hogole ba: sea, da esalusu ba: mu amola Hina Gode da amo dunu hahawane dogolegele ba: mu.
36 But those who stray away from me [just] harm themselves. All those who hate me, [it is as though] [IRO] they are loving death.”
Be nowa dunu da nama hame masea, e da hisu wadela: sa. Nowa dunu da nama higasea, e da bogosu ba: mu!” Bagade Dawa: su Hou da fedege sia: agoane sia: sa.
