Numbers 4
1 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me,
Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose und Aaron folgendes:
2 “Write down the names of the men who belong to the clans descended from Levi.
»Nehmt unter den Leviten die Kopfzahl der Kehathiten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien auf,
3 Write the names of the men who are between 30 and 50 years old. These will be men who will work at the Sacred Tent.
von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie am Offenbarungszelt tätig sein können.
4 “The work of these descendants of Kohath will be [to take care of] the sacred items [that are used when the people worship] at the Sacred Tent.
Dies soll der Dienst der Kehathiten am Offenbarungszelt sein: (die Sorge für) das Hochheilige.
5 When you Israelis move to another location, Aaron and his sons must enter the tent to take down the curtain that separates the Very Holy Place from the other part of the Sacred Tent. They must cover the sacred chest with that curtain.
Wenn nämlich das Lager aufbricht, sollen Aaron und seine Söhne hineingehen und den abschließenden Vorhang abnehmen und die Gesetzeslade mit ihm bedecken.
6 Then they must cover that with a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Over that they must spread a blue cloth. Then they must insert into the rings on the chest the poles [for carrying it].
Dann sollen sie eine Decke von Seekuhfell darauflegen und ein ganz aus blauem Purpur bestehendes Tuch oben darüberbreiten und dann die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
7 “Then they must put a blue cloth over the table on which the priests put the sacred bread. On top of the cloth they must put the bowls [for incense], the pans, the other dishes, the jars for [the wine that will be] offered as a sacrifice, and the sacred bread.
Auch über den Schaubrottisch sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur breiten und die Schüsseln, Schalen und Becher sowie die Kannen für das Trankopfer daraufstellen; auch das regelmäßig aufzulegende Brot soll sich auf ihm befinden.
8 Over all of this they must spread a scarlet/red cloth. Finally, they must put on top a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Then they must insert into the [rings at the corners of] the tables the poles [for carrying it].
Dann sollen sie über das alles ein Tuch von Karmesin breiten, dieses mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und dann die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
9 “Then with another blue cloth they must cover the lampstand, the lamps, the lamp snuffers, the trays, and the special jars of [olive] oil [to burn in the lamps].
Hierauf sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur nehmen und den lichtspendenden Leuchter damit überdecken samt den zugehörigen Lampen, Lichtputzscheren, Näpfen und allen Ölgefäßen, mit denen man ihn zu bedienen pflegt;
10 They must cover the lampstand and all the other items with a nice covering made from the skins of goats. They must place all these things on a frame for carrying them.
dann sollen sie ihn nebst allen seinen Geräten in eine Decke von Seekuhfell tun und auf die Tragbahre legen.
11 “Then they must spread another blue cloth over the gold altar [which is used for burning] incense. Over this they must spread a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Then they must insert into [the rings of] that altar the poles for carrying it.
Auch über den goldenen Altar sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur breiten und ihn mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
12 “They must take all the other items that are inside the Sacred Tent and wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with a nice covering made from the skins of goats, and place all that on a frame for carrying it.
Weiter sollen sie alle für den Dienst erforderlichen Geräte, mit denen man den Dienst im Heiligtum zu verrichten pflegt, nehmen, sie in ein Tuch von blauem Purpur tun, sie dann mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und auf die Tragbahre legen.
13 “Then they must remove the ashes from the altar [on which they have burned sacrifices]. Then they must cover the altar with a purple cloth.
Hierauf sollen sie den (Brandopfer-) Altar von der Fettasche reinigen und ein Tuch von rotem Purpur über ihn breiten;
14 Then they must spread on top of the cloth all the items used at the altar—the pans [for carrying the hot coals], the meat forks, the shovels, the bowls [for containing the blood to sprinkle on the people], and all the other containers. Then they must spread over all those things a nice covering made from the skins of goats. Then they must insert into [the rings at the sides of] the altar the poles [for carrying it].
auf dieses sollen sie dann alle zugehörigen Geräte legen, mit denen man den Dienst auf ihm zu verrichten pflegt: die Kohlenpfannen, Gabeln, Schaufeln, Becken, überhaupt alle zum Altar gehörigen Geräte; darüber sollen sie eine Decke von Seekuhfell breiten und die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
15 “Then Aaron and his sons have finished covering all these sacred things, the Israeli people will be ready to move [to a new location]. The descendants of Kohath must come and carry all the sacred things to [the next place] where you Israelis will set up your tents. But the descendants of Kohath must not touch any of these sacred items, because they will [immediately] die [if they touch them]. They are the ones who will carry these things, [but they must not touch them].
Wenn dann Aaron und seine Söhne beim Aufbruch des Lagers mit der Einhüllung des Heiligen und aller heiligen Geräte fertig sind, so sollen danach die Kehathiten kommen, um alles zu tragen; sie dürfen aber die heiligen Gegenstände nicht berühren, sonst würden sie sterben. Dies ist es, was die Kehathiten vom Offenbarungszelt zu tragen haben.
16 “Aaron’s son Eleazar will have the work of taking care of the [olive] oil for the lamps, the nice-smelling incense, the grain which will be burned on the altar each day, and the [olive] oil for anointing [the priests]. Eleazar is the one who will supervise the work that is done at the Sacred Tent and the men who take care of everything that is in it.”
Eleasar aber, dem Sohne des Priesters Aaron, ist das Öl für den Leuchter und das wohlriechende Räucherwerk sowie das regelmäßige Speisopfer und das Salböl anvertraut, ferner die Aufsicht über die ganze heilige Wohnung und über alles das, was sich an heiligen Gegenständen und an zugehörigen Geräten in ihr befindet.«
17 “Then Yahweh said to Aaron and Moses/me,
Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose und Aaron folgendes:
18 “When the descendants of Kohath approach the sacred items in the Sacred Tent [to take them to another location], Aaron and his sons must always go in with them and show each of them what work to do and what things to carry. But the descendants of Kohath must not enter the Sacred Tent [at any other time] and look at the things that are in it. If they do that, I will get rid of all the descendants of Kohath.”
»Laßt den Stamm der Geschlechter der Kehathiten nicht aus der Mitte der Leviten der Vernichtung anheimfallen,
sondern tut folgendes für sie, damit sie am Leben bleiben und nicht sterben müssen, wenn sie an die hochheiligen Gegenstände herantreten: Aaron und seine Söhne sollen hineingehen und jeden einzelnen von ihnen anstellen, um das zu verrichten und das zu tragen, was ihm obliegt;
aber sie selbst sollen nicht hineingehen, um auch nur einen Augenblick die heiligen Gegenstände anzusehen; sonst müssen sie sterben.«
21 Yahweh also said to Moses/me,
Weiter gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes:
22 “Write down the names of all the men who belong to the clans descended from the Gershon [division of the descendants of Levi].
»Nimm nun auch die Kopfzahl der Gersoniten nach ihren Familien und nach ihren Geschlechtern auf;
23 Write the names of the men who are between 30 and 50 years old. They will be men who will also work at the Sacred Tent.
von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren sollst du sie mustern, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden können.
24 “This is the work that they must do and the things that they must carry [when you move to a new location]:
Darin soll der Dienst der Geschlechter der Gersoniten bezüglich der ihnen obliegenden Verrichtungen und der zu tragenden Gegenstände bestehen:
25 They must carry the curtains of the Sacred Tent; they must carry the Sacred Tent and all the things that cover it, including the nice outer covering made from skins of goats, and the curtain which is at the entrance of the Sacred Tent.
sie haben die Teppiche der heiligen Wohnung und das Offenbarungszelt zu tragen, auch seine Decke und die Decke von Seekuhfell, die oben darüber liegt, sowie den Vorhang am Eingang zum Offenbarungszelt,
26 They must also carry the curtains that form the wall that surrounds the courtyard that surrounds the Sacred Tent and the altar, the curtain that is at the entrance to the courtyard, and the ropes [that fasten the curtains]. They must also do the packing and loading of these things.
ferner die Umhänge des Vorhofes, und den Vorhang am Eingangstor des Vorhofes, der die heilige Wohnung und den Brandopferaltar rings umgibt, samt den zugehörigen Seilen und allen Geräten, die zu diesem Dienst nötig sind; überhaupt alles, was dabei zu tun ist, sollen sie besorgen.
27 Aaron and his sons will supervise the work of all the descendants of Gershom. That work includes carrying those things and doing other work that is necessary for moving them. They must tell each of the descendants of Gershom what things they must carry.
Nach der Anordnung Aarons und seiner Söhne soll der ganze Dienst der [Söhne der] Gersoniten vor sich gehen bei allem, was sie zu tragen, und bei allem, was sie zu verrichten haben; und zwar sollt ihr ihnen alles, was sie zu tragen haben, Stück für Stück überweisen.
28 Those are the tasks that you must give to the men who belong to the clans descended from Gershom. Aaron’s son Ithamar is the one who will supervise their work.
Dies ist der Dienst, den die Geschlechter der [Söhne der] Gersoniten am Offenbarungszelt zu verrichten haben; und die Aufsicht über ihre Verrichtungen soll Ithamar, dem Sohn des Priesters Aaron, obliegen.
29 Count also the men who belong to the clans descended from Levi’s son Merari.
Auch die Merariten sollst du nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien mustern;
30 Write the names of the men who are between 30 and 50 years old. They will be men who will also work at the Sacred Tent.
von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren sollst du sie mustern, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden können.
31 Their work will be to carry the frames that hold up the tent, the crossbars, the posts [that hold up the curtains], and the bases.
Und dies ist es, was ihnen zu tragen obliegt und worin ihr ganzer Dienst am Offenbarungszelt besteht: die Bretter der heiligen Wohnung sowie ihre Riegel, Säulen und Füße,
32 They must also carry the posts for [the curtains that form the walls of] the courtyard and the bases for the posts, the tent pegs, and the ropes [to fasten the curtains]. Tell each man what things he must carry.
ferner die Säulen rings um den Vorhof samt ihren Füßen, ihren Pflöcken und Seilen, samt allen zugehörigen Geräten und nebst allem, was es dabei zu tun gibt; und zwar sollt ihr ihnen die Geräte, deren Fortschaffung ihnen obliegt, Stück für Stück zuweisen.
33 Those are the tasks that the descendants of Merari must do at the Sacred Tent. Aaron’s son Ithamar is the one who will supervise them.”
Dies ist der Dienst der Geschlechter der Merariten, alles, was sie am Offenbarungszelt unter der Aufsicht Ithamars, des Sohnes des Priesters Aaron, zu verrichten haben.«
34 So Aaron and Moses/I and the Israeli leaders counted the descendants of Kohath, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
So musterten denn Mose und Aaron samt den Stammesfürsten der Gemeinde die [Söhne der] Kehathiten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien,
35 They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old who were able to work at the Sacred Tent.
von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten.
36 The total was 2,750 men.
Und es belief sich die Zahl derer, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern gemustert wurden, auf 2750.
37 They were the descendants of Kohath who [were able to] work at the Sacred Tent. Aaron and Moses/I counted them just as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me.
So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Kehathiten Gemusterten, alle, welche Dienste am Offenbarungszelte zu leisten hatten und welche Mose und Aaron nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.
38 They/We also counted the descendants of Gershon, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
Was sodann diejenigen betrifft, welche aus den Gersoniten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden,
39 They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old who were able to work at the Sacred Tent.
von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten,
40 The total was 2,630 men.
so belief sich die Zahl derer, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden, auf 2630.
41 They were the descendants of Gershon who [were able to] work at the Sacred Tent. Aaron and Moses/I counted them as Yahweh had commanded.
So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Gersoniten Gemusterten, alle, welche Dienste am Offenbarungszelt zu leisten hatten und welche Mose und Aaron nach dem Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.
42 They/We also counted the descendants of Merari, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
Was ferner diejenigen betrifft, welche aus den Geschlechtern der Merariten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden,
43 They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old who were able to work at the Sacred Tent.
von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten,
44 The total was 3,200 men.
so beliefen sich die, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern gemustert wurden, auf 3200.
45 They were the descendants of Merari who [were able to] work. Aaron and Moses/I counted them as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me.
So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Merariten Gemusterten, welche Mose und Aaron nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.
46 So Aaron and Moses/I and the Israeli leaders counted all the descendants of Levi, writing also the names of their clans and family groups.
Was aber die Gesamtzahl der gemusterten Leviten betrifft, welche Mose und Aaron samt den Stammesfürsten der Israeliten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert hatten,
47 They/We counted all the men who were between 30 and 50 years old. They were ones who [were able to] work at the Sacred Tent and who carried the tent and everything that was connected with it.
von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, welche tauglich waren, um bei den Dienstleistungen und bei der Verrichtung des Tragens Verwendung am Offenbarungszelt zu finden,
48 The total was 8,580 men.
so belief sich die Zahl der aus ihnen Gemusterten auf 8580.
49 They/We completed the counting [of all the descendants of Levi], as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me. And they/we told each man what work he was to do and what things he must carry [when they moved to a new location].
Nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN wies man dem einzelnen von ihnen das zu, was er zu verrichten und zu tragen hatte; und sie wurden so angestellt, wie es der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.
