Numbers 34
1 Yahweh said to Moses/me,
Ja Herra puhui Mosekselle, sanoen:
2 “Tell this to the Israeli people: You will soon enter Canaan land, and it will become yours. These will be the borders of the land:
Käske Israelin lapsille, ja sano heille: kuin te tulette Kanaanin maalle, niin pitää se maa oleman se, joka teille perimiseksi lankee, Kanaanin maa rajainsa jälkeen.
3 On the south you will receive part of the Zin Desert, near the border of the Edom [region]. On the east side, the border will start at the south end of the Dead Sea.
Etelän puoli pitää rupeeman Sinin korvesta Edomin tyköä, niin että teidän rajanne etelään päin pitää käymän Suolaisen meren äärestä, joka itään päin on.
4 It will extend to a little south of the Scorpion Pass, and extend [west] through [the] Zin [Desert] and south of Kadesh-Barnea. From there it will extend to Hazar Addar and from there to Azmon.
Ja se raja pitää teille käymän ympäri etelästä Akrabimin palttaa myöten ja menemän Siniin, niin että sen uloskäyminen eteläpuolelta on KadesBarneaan päin, että se ulottuu Hatsar Adariin, ja menee Asmoniin.
5 From Azmon it will extend [west] to the dry riverbed [at the border] of Egypt and then to the [Mediterranean] Sea.

6 The border on the west will be the Mediterranean Sea.
Mutta raja länteen päin pitää oleman teille suuri meri: se pitää oleman teidän maanne ääri länteen päin.
7 The border on the north will start from the Mediterranean Sea and extend [east] to Hor Mountain.
Ja tämä pitää raja pohjaa päin oleman: teidän pitää määräämän sen suuresta merestä hamaan Horin vuoreen asti,
8 From there it will extend to Lebo-Hamath and then to Zedad.
Ja Horin vuoresta määräämän siihenasti että Hamatiin tullaan, niin että rajan loppu on Zedassa.
9 From there the border will extend to Ziphron, and it will end at Hazar-Enan.
Ja raja menköön Ziphroniin ja sen loppu olkoon HatsarEnanissa. Se olkoon rajanne pohjoista päin.
10 The border on the east will start at Hazar-Enan and extend [south] to Shepham.
Ja pitää myös määräämän rajanne itään päin, Enanista niin Sephamiin.
11 From there it will extend east of Ain to Riblah and then along the hills that are east of Galilee Lake.
Ja raja menkään alas Sephamista Riblaan, Ainin itäpuolella; sitte juoskaan alaspäin, ja menkään Kinneretin meren sivutse idän puolella,
12 Then the border will extend south along the Jordan [River] and end at the Dead Sea. Those will be the borders around your country.”
Ja tulkaan raja alas Jordaniin päin ja sen loppu olkoon Suolainen meri. Sen pitää oleman teidän maanne, rajoinensa joka taholta.
13 So Moses/I [told all that] to the Israeli people. Then he/I said to them, “That is the land that you will receive. You must throw (lots/stones that have been marked) to decide which area will go to each of the nine and a half tribes, because Yahweh has commanded that it should be divided among them.
Ja Moses käski Israelin lapsille ja sanoi: tämä on maa, jonka teidän pitää jakaman keskenänne arvalla, jonka Herra käski antaa niille yhdeksälle sukukunnalle, ja sille puolelle sukukunnalle;
14 The tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe of Manasseh have already received the land in which they will live.
Sillä Rubenin lasten sukukunta, heidän isäinsä huoneen jälkeen, ja Gadin lasten sukukunta heidän isäinsä huoneen jälkeen, ja puoli Manassen sukukuntaa ovat jo ottaneet osansa.
15 They have received land on the east side of the Jordan [River], across from Jericho.”

16 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me,
Ja Herra puhui Mosekselle, sanoen:
17 “These are the men who will divide the land: First, Eleazar and Joshua.
Nämät ovat miesten nimet, joiden pitää jakaman maan teille: pappi Eleatsar ja Josua Nunin poika.
18 But one leader [from each of the twelve tribes will help them divide the land].
Siihen pitää myös teidän ottaman yhden päämiehen jokaisesta sukukunnasta, maata jakamaan.
19 “From the tribe of Judah, appoint Jephunneh’s son Caleb. From the tribe of Simeon appoint Ammihud’s son Shemuel. From the tribe of Benjamin appoint Kislon’s son Elidad. From the tribe of Dan appoint Jogli’s son Bukki. From the tribe of Manasseh appoint Ephod’s son Hanniel. From the tribe of Ephraim appoint Shiphtan’s son Kemuel. From the tribe of Zebulun appoint Parnach’s son Elizaphan. From the tribe of Issachar appoint Azzan’s son Paltiel. From the tribe of Asher appoint Shelomi’s son Ahihud. From the tribe of Naphtali appoint Ammihud’s son Pedahel.”
Ja nämät ovat miesten nimet: Juudan sukukunnasta, Kaleb Jephunnen poika;
Simeonin lasten sukukunnasta, Semuel Ammihudin poika;
BenJaminin sukukunnasta, Elidad Kislonin poika;
Danin lasten sukukunnan päämies, Bukki Joglin poika;
Josephin lapsista, Manassen sukukunnan päämies, Haniel Ephodin poika;
Ephraimin lasten sukukunnan päämies, Kemuel Siphtanin poika;
Sebulonin lasten sukukunnan päämies, Elitsaphan Parnakin poika;
Isaskarin lasten sukukunnan päämies, Patiel Assan poika;
Asserin lasten sukukunnan päämies, Ahihud Selomin poika;
Naphtalin lasten sukukunnan päämies, Pedahel Ammihudin poika.
29 Yahweh commanded that all those were the men who should divide the Canaan region among the Israeli people.
Nämät ovat ne jotka Herra käskenyt on Israelin lasten perintöosaa jakamaan Kanaanin maalla.
