Numbers 30
1 Moses/I spoke with the leaders of the Israeli tribes. He/I told them these commands that Yahweh had given to him/me:
Entonces Moisés dijo a los jefes de las tribus de los hijos de Israel: Este es el orden del Señor.
2 “If a man solemnly promises Yahweh that he will do something, he must do what he promised.
Cuando un hombre hace un juramento al Señor, o hace una promesa que tiene la fuerza de un juramento, deberá cumplir su palabra, haga lo que él ha dicho que hará.
3 “If a young woman who is still living with her parents solemnly promises to Yahweh to do something,
Si una mujer, siendo joven y bajo la autoridad de su padre, hace un juramento al Señor o hace una promesa;
4 and if her father hears about what she promised, and if he does not object, she must do what she promised [DOU].
Si su padre, al enterarse de su juramento o del compromiso que ha hecho, no le dice nada, entonces todos sus juramentos y todo compromiso que haya hecho tendrá que cumplirlos.
5 But if her father hears about what she promised and does not allow her to do that, then she does not need to do what she promised. Yahweh will forgive her for not doing what she promised.
Pero si su padre, al oírlo, la hace retomar su palabra, entonces los juramentos o los compromisos que ha dado no tendrán fuerza; y ella tendrá perdón del Señor, porque su padre rompió su juramento.
6 “If a woman promises Yahweh that she will do something, but then she gets married,
Y si está casada con un esposo en el momento en que está bajo un juramento o un compromiso dado sin pensar;
7 if her husband hears about what she promised to do, and he does not object, she must do what she promised [DOU].
Si su esposo, al oírlo, no le dice nada en ese momento, entonces los juramentos que hizo y los compromisos que dio tendrá que cumplirlos.
8 But if her husband hears about it and does not allow her to do that, she does not need to do what she promised, and Yahweh will forgive her for not doing what she promised.
Pero si su esposo, al escucharlo, la hace volver, entonces el juramento que hizo y el compromiso que hizo sin pensar no tendrá fuerza ni efecto, y tendrá el perdón del Señor.
9 “If a widow or a woman who has been divorced makes a promise, she must do what she promised.
Pero un juramento hecho por una viuda o una que ya no está casado con su esposo, y toda promesa que ella ha hecho, tendrá que cumplirla.
10 “If a woman who is married promises [DOU] to do something,
Si ella hizo un juramento mientras estaba bajo la autoridad de su esposo,
11 and if her husband hears about it but does not object, she must do what she promised.
Al oírlo su marido, no le dijo nada y no lo detuvo, entonces todos sus juramentos y todos los compromisos que ella dio tendrá que cumplirlos.
12 But if he hears about it and does not allow her to do that, she does not need to do what she promised, and Yahweh will forgive her for not doing it.
Pero si su esposo, al oírlo, los anula, no tiene efecto, entonces, lo que ella haya dicho sobre sus juramentos o su compromiso es anulado. su esposo los ha hecho sin efecto, y él Señor no le exigirá que les cumpla.
13 A woman’s husband may require her to do what she has promised, or he may not allow her to do what she has promised.
Todo juramento, y toda promesa que ella haga, para ayunar, puede ser apoyada o quebrantada por su esposo.
14 If he does not object for several days [after he hears about it], she must do what she promised.
Pero si los días continúan y su marido no le dice nada en absoluto, entonces él le está dando el apoyo de su autoridad a sus juramentos y compromisos, porque en el momento de escucharlos no le dijo nada.
15 But if he waits a long time after she has promised to do something and then he tells her that he will not permit her to do it, if she does not do what she promised, [she will not be punished]; her husband is the one whom [Yahweh] will punish.”
Pero si en algún momento después de escucharlos, los anula, entonces es responsable del incumplimiento de su mujer.
16 Those are the rules that Yahweh gave to Moses/me for husbands and wives, and for young women who are still living with their parents.
Estas son las leyes que el Señor le dio a Moisés en relación con un hombre y su esposa, o un padre y una hija pequeña que está bajo su autoridad.
