Numbers 24
1 Balaam now realized that Yahweh wanted to bless the Israeli people, [not curse them]. So he did not use magic/divination [like a shaman would do] to find out what Yahweh wanted, as he often did. Instead, he turned toward the desert.
இஸ்ரயேலரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பதையே யெகோவா விரும்புகிறார் என பிலேயாம் அறிந்தான். எனவே அவன் முன்புபோல் மாந்திரீகத்தின் உதவியை நாடாமல், பாலைவனத்தை நோக்கித் தன் முகத்தைத் திருப்பினான்.
2 He saw the Israeli people camped there [in their tents], with each tribe gathered in its own group. Then the Spirit of God took control of him,
பிலேயாம் வெளியே பார்க்கையில், இஸ்ரயேலர் கோத்திரம் கோத்திரமாய் முகாமிட்டிருப்பதைக் கண்டான். அந்நேரத்தில் இறைவனின் ஆவியானவர் அவன்மேல் வந்தார்.
3 and enabled him to give this prophetic message to Balak: “I, Balaam, the son of Beor, am giving this prophecy; I am speaking as a man who sees [what will happen in the future] clearly speaks.
அவன் இறைவாக்குரைத்துச் சொன்னதாவது: “பேயோரின் மகன் பிலேயாமின் இறைவாக்கு, தெளிவாய்ப் பார்க்கும் கண்களை உடையவனின் இறைவாக்கு,
4 I hear this message from God; I see a vision from him who is all-powerful. My eyes are open as I prostrate myself in front of him.
இறைவனின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்கிறவனின் இறைவாக்கு, அவன் எல்லாம் வல்லவரிடமிருந்து தரிசனம் காண்கிறவன், அவன் முகங்குப்புற கீழே விழுந்தவன், கண்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டவன்:
5 You descendants of Jacob, your tents are very beautiful; they are truly lovely!
“யாக்கோபே, உன் கூடாரங்களும், இஸ்ரயேலே, உன் குடியிருப்புகளும் எவ்வளவு அழகானவை!
6 Your tents are spread out [in front of me like groves of palm trees in] valleys, like gardens alongside a river. They are like strong aloe trees/plants that Yahweh has planted, like [strong] cedar trees [that grow] along the rivers.
“அவை பள்ளத்தாக்குகளைப்போல் பரந்திருக்கின்றன, ஆற்றின் அருகில் இருக்கும் தோட்டங்களைப்போல் இருக்கின்றன, யெகோவா நட்ட சந்தனமரங்களைப்போல் இருக்கின்றன. தண்ணீரருகே நிற்கிற கேதுருமரங்களைப்போல் இருக்கின்றன.
7 Your water buckets will always be full; the seeds [that you plant] will always have plenty of water [to make them grow]. The Israelis’ king will be greater than [King] Agag; the kingdom that he rules will be honored.
அவர்கள் வாளிகளிலிருந்து தண்ணீர் பாயும்; அவர்களுடைய வித்து நீர்த்திரளின்மேல் பரவும். “அவர்களுடைய அரசன் ஆகாபைப் பார்க்கிலும் பெரியவனாயிருப்பான்; அவர்கள் அரசு புகழ்ந்துயர்த்தப்படும்.
8 God brought the Israelis out of Egypt, [leading them along] with his great power [MTY] like a wild ox has. He devastates all the nations that oppose him; he breaks all those people’s bones into pieces, and shoots them with his arrows.
“இறைவன் அவர்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியே கொண்டுவந்தார்; அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு காட்டெருதின் பெலன் இருக்கிறது. அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு விரோதமான நாடுகளை விழுங்கிப்போடுவார்கள். அவர்களுடைய எலும்புகளையும் முறித்துப்போடுவார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய அம்புகளினால் உருவக்குத்துவார்கள்.
9 The Israelis are like lions that crouch and lie down, [ready to pounce on their prey] [SIM]. They are like lionesses [that are resting, but ready to attack]; no one [RHQ] would dare to arouse them! [God] will bless everyone who blesses you Israelis, and he will curse everyone who curses you.”
அவர்கள் சிங்கத்தைப் போலவும் பெண் சிங்கத்தைப் போலவும் மடங்கிப் படுத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; அவற்றை எழுப்பத் துணிபவன் யார்? “உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பார்களாக; உங்களை சபிப்பவர்கள் சபிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பார்களாக!”
10 Then King Balak was extremely angry with Balaam. He showed with his hands that he was very angry, and he [shouted at Balaam], “I summoned you here to curse my enemies! Instead, you have (blessed/asked God to bless) them three times!
அப்பொழுது பிலேயாமுக்கு விரோதமாக பாலாக்கின் கோபம் மூண்டது. அவன் தன் கைகளைத் தட்டி பிலேயாமிடம்: “நான் என் பகைவர்களைச் சபிக்கவே உன்னை அழைப்பித்தேன். ஆனால் நீயோ, இந்த மூன்றுமுறையும் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறாய்.
11 So now, get out of here! Go back home! I said that I would pay you a lot of money [if you cursed them], but Yahweh has prevented you from getting any pay!”
இப்பொழுது நீ உடனடியாக உன் வீட்டிற்குப் போ. நான் உனக்கு நிறைய வெகுமதி கொடுப்பேன் என சொல்லியிருந்தேன். ஆனால் அந்த வெகுமதிகளை நீ பெறாதபடி யெகோவா உன்னைத் தடுத்துள்ளார்” என்றான்.
12 Balaam said to Balak, “[Do you not remember what] [RHQ] I told the messengers that you sent to me? I said,
அதற்குப் பிலேயாம் பாலாக்கிடம்: “நீ என்னிடம் அனுப்பிய தூதுவர்களிடம் நான் சொல்லவில்லையா?
13 ‘Even if Balak would give me a palace filled with silver and gold, I would not disobey Yahweh. I cannot do anything bad or anything that is good [that he does not approve of].’ And I told you that I could say only what Yahweh says to me.
‘பாலாக், வெள்ளியினாலும், தங்கத்தினாலும் தன் அரண்மனையை நிறைத்து அதை எனக்குத் தந்தாலும் யெகோவாவினுடைய கட்டளையை மீறி என் சொந்த விருப்பத்தின்படி எந்த நன்மையையோ, தீமையையோ என்னால் செய்யமுடியாது. யெகோவா சொல்வதை மட்டுமே நான் செய்யவேண்டும்’ என்று சொல்லியிருந்தேனே!
14 So yes, I will return to my people, but first, allow me to tell you what will happen to you Moab people in the future.”
இப்பொழுது நான் என் மக்களிடத்திற்குப் போகப்போகிறேன். நீ வா. இந்த மக்கள் வரப்போகும் நாட்களில் உன் மக்களுக்கு என்ன செய்வார்கள் என நான் உன்னை எச்சரிப்பேன்” என்றான்.
15 So Balaam said this [to Balak]: “I, Balaam, son of Beor, am again giving a prophecy, speaking as a man who sees [what will happen in the future] clearly speaks.
பின்பு அவன் தன் இறைவாக்கை உரைத்துச் சொன்னதாவது: “பேயோரின் மகன் பிலேயாமின் இறைவாக்கு, தெளிவாய்ப் பார்க்கும் கண்களை உடையவனின் இறைவாக்கு,
16 I hear a message from God; I know things that God, who lives in heaven, has [revealed to me]. I see a vision from him who is all-powerful. My eyes are open as I prostrate myself in front of him.
இறைவனின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்பவனின் இறைவாக்கு, அவன் மகா உன்னதமானவரிடமிருந்து அறிவைப்பெற்றவன், எல்லாம் வல்லவரிடத்தில் இருந்து தரிசனம் காண்கிறவன், முகங்குப்புற விழும்போது, கண்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டவன்:
17 The things that I see [in the vision] are not [going to happen] now; I see things [that God will cause to happen] in the future. A man who is [a descendant of] Jacob will appear like a star [MET]; a king who holds a scepter will be one of the Israeli people. He will crush the heads of you people of Moab; he will wipe out the descendants of Seth.
“நான் அவரைக் காண்கிறேன், ஆனால் இப்பொழுது அல்ல; நான் அவரைப் பார்க்கிறேன், ஆனால் சமீபமாய் அல்ல. யாக்கோபிலிருந்து ஒரு நட்சத்திரம் வரும், இஸ்ரயேலில் இருந்து ஒரு செங்கோல் எழும்பும். அவர் மோவாபியரின் நெற்றிகளை நொறுக்குவார், சேத்தின் சந்ததி எல்லோரையும் தண்டிப்பார்.
18 The Israelis will occupy Edom, and they will conquer their enemies [who live near] Seir [Mountain]. The Israeli people will be victorious/strong.
ஏதோம் வெற்றிகொள்ளப்படும்; அவரது பகைவனான சேயீரும் வெற்றிகொள்ளப்படுவான். ஆனால் இஸ்ரயேலோ வலிமையில் பெருகும்.
19 A ruler who is a descendant of Jacob will come; he will get rid of the people who still live in the city [where Balaam first met Balak].”
யாக்கோபிலிருந்து ஒரு ஆளுநர் வருவார். பட்டணத்தில் தப்புகிறவர்களை அவர் தண்டிப்பார்” என்றான்.
20 Then Balaam looked out over where the Amalek people-group [lived], and he prophesied this: “The Amalek people-group were the greatest nation, but they will be wiped out.”
அதன்பின் பிலேயாம் அமலேக்கியரைக் கண்டு, இறைவாக்குரைத்து: “நாடுகளுக்குள்ளே அமலேக்கியர் முதலாவதாயிருந்தார்கள். ஆனால் கடைசியில் அவர்களுக்கு அழிவே இருக்கும்” என்றான்.
21 Then he looked out over the area where the Ken people-group [lived], and he prophesied this: “You [think that] the place where you live is secure/safe like a nest that is made in the cliffs [MET],
பின்பு அவன் கேனியரைக் கண்டு இறைவாக்குரைத்து: “உங்கள் குடியிருப்பு பாதுகாப்பாயிருக்கிறது, உங்களுடைய கூடு ஒரு கற்பாறையில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது.
22 but you will be wiped out when the army of Assyria conquers you.”
ஆனாலும் கேனியரே! அசூர் உங்களைச் சிறைபிடிக்கும்போது நீங்கள் அழிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்” என்றான்.
23 Balaam ended his prophecies by saying, “Also, (who can (survive/escape) when God does all these things?/no one will be able to (survive/escape) when God does all these things!) [RHQ]
பின்னும் பிலேயாம் இறைவாக்கைத் தொடர்ந்து சொன்னது: “ஐயோ! இறைவன் இதைச் செய்யும்போது யாரால் உயிர்த்தப்பி வாழமுடியும்?
24 Ships will come from Cyprus [Island], and [the men in those ships] will defeat [the armies of] Assyria and Eber. But God will get rid of those men, too.”
கித்தீம் கரைகளிலிருந்து கப்பல்கள் வந்து, அசூரையும், ஏபேரையும் கீழ்ப்படுத்தும். அவர்களும் அழிந்துபோவார்கள்.”
25 Then Balaam and Balak returned to their homes.
அதன்பின் பிலேயாம் எழுந்து வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பினான், பாலாக் தன் வழியே போனான்.
