Numbers 2
1 Then Yahweh said this to Aaron and Moses/me:
Habló Yahvé a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
2 “When the Israelis set up their tents, they should set them up in areas that surround the Sacred Tent, but not close to it. The people of each tribe must set up their tents in a different area. Each tribe must erect in that area a banner of their own clan and a flag that represents their tribe.
“Los hijos de Israel acamparán cada cual junto a su bandera, bajo las enseñas de sus casas paternas; acamparán frente al Tabernáculo de la Reunión, todo en torno a él.
3 The people of the tribes of Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun must set up their tents on the east side of the Sacred Tent, close to their tribal flags. These are the names of the leaders of those tribes and the number of soldiers whom they will lead: Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, will be the leader of the 74,600 men of the tribe of Judah.
Delante, al oriente, se fijará la bandera del campamento de Judá, según sus escuadrones, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Judá, Naasón, hijo de Aminadab.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de setenta y cuatro mil seiscientos hombres.
5 Nethanel, the son of Zuar, will be the leader of the 54,500 men of the tribe of Issachar.
A su lado acampará la tribu de Isacar, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Isacar, Natanael, hijo de Suar.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de cincuenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos.
7 Eliab, the son of Helon, will be the leader of the 57,400 men of the tribe of Zebulun.
Luego la tribu de Zabulón, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Zabulón, Eliab, hijo de Helón.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de cincuenta y siete mil cuatrocientos.
9 So there will be 86,400 troops on the east side [of the Sacred Tent]. Whenever the Israelis move to a new location, those three tribes must go in front of the others.
El total del campamento de Judá es, según el censo, de ciento ochenta y seis mil cuatrocientos, divididos en sus escuadrones. Estos son los primeros en ponerse en marcha.
10 The tribes of Reuben, Simeon, and Gad must set up their tents on the south side of the Sacred Tent, close to their tribal flags. These are the names of the leaders of those tribes and the number of men whom they will lead: Elizur, the son of Shedeur, will be the leader of the 46,500 men of the tribe of Reuben.
Al mediodía se ubicará la bandera del campamento de Rubén, según sus escuadrones, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Rubén, Elisur, hijo de Sedeur.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de cuarenta y seis mil quinientos.
12 Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai, will be the leader of the 59,300 men of the tribe of Simeon.
A su lado acampará la tribu de Simeón, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Simeón, Selumiel, hijo de Surisadai.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de cincuenta y nueve mil trescientos.
14 Eliasaph, the son of Deuel, will be the leader of the 45,650 men of the tribe of Gad.
Luego la tribu de Gad, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Gad, Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos cincuenta.
16 So there will be 151,450 troops on the south side of the Sacred Tent. Those three tribes will follow the first group [when the Israelis travel].
El total del campamento de Rubén es, según el censo, de ciento cincuenta y un mil cuatrocientos cincuenta, repartidos en sus escuadrones. Ellos se pondrán en marcha los segundos.
17 Behind that group will walk the descendants of Levi, who will carry the Sacred Tent. The Israelis will march in the same order that they always set up their tents. Each tribe will carry its own flag.
Después se pondrá en marcha el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, es decir, el campamento de los levitas, en medio de los campamentos. Según el orden en que acampen, así se pondrán en marcha, cada uno en su lugar y bajo su bandera.
18 The tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Benjamin must set up their tents on the west side of the Sacred Tent, close to their tribal flags. These are the names of the leaders of those tribes and number of men whom they will lead: Elishama, the son of Ammihud, will be the leader of the 40,500 men of the tribe of Ephraim.
Al occidente estará la bandera del campamento de Efraím, con sus tropas, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Efraím, Elisamá, hijo de Amiud.
Su ejército es según el censo, de cuarenta mil quinientos.
20 Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur, will be the leader of the 32,200 men of the tribe of Manasseh.
Junto a él estará la tribu de Manasés, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Manasés, Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de treinta y dos mil doscientos.
22 Abidan, the son of Gideoni, will be the leader of the 35,400 men of the tribe of Benjamin.
Luego la tribu de Benjamín, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Benjamín, Abidán, hijo de Gedeoní.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de treinta y cinco mil cuatrocientos.
24 So there will be 108,100 troops on the west side of the Sacred Tent. Those three tribes will follow the second group, [behind the descendants of Levi].
El total del campamento de Efraím es, según el censo de ciento ocho mil cien, repartidos en sus escuadrones. Ellos se pondrán en marcha los terceros.
25 The tribes of Dan, Asher, and Naphtali must set up their tents on the north side of the Sacred Tent, close to their tribal flags. These are the names of the leaders of those tribes and the number of men whom they will lead: Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai, will be the leader of the 62,700 men of the tribe of Dan.
Al norte estará la bandera del campamento de Dan, según sus ejércitos, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Dan, Ahiéser, hijo de Amisadai.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de sesenta y dos mil setecientos.
27 Pagiel, the son of Ocran, will be the leader of the 41,500 men of the tribe of Asher.
Junto a él acampará la tribu de Aser, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Aser, Pagiel, hijo de Ocrán.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de cuarenta y un mil quinientos.
29 Ahira, the son of Enan, will be the leader of the 53,400 men of the tribe of Naphtali.
Luego la tribu de Neftalí, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Neftalí, Ahirá, hijo de Enán.
Su ejército es, según el censo, de cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos.
31 So there will be 157,600 troops on the north side of the Sacred Tent. Those three tribes will be last. They must carry their own flags when the Israelis travel.”
El total del campamento de Dan es, según el censo, de ciento cincuenta y siete mil seiscientos. Ellos se pondrán en marcha los postreros, según sus banderas.”
32 So there were 603,550 Israeli men who were able to fight who were listed according to their families’ ancestors.
Estos son los hijos de Israel inscriptos en el censo, según sus casas paternas. El total de los campamentos, según sus ejércitos respectivos, sumaba seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta.
33 But just as Yahweh had commanded, the names of the descendants of Levi were not included.
Los levitas no figuran en este censo de los hijos de Israel; así lo había mandado Yahvé a Moisés.
34 The Israelis did everything that Yahweh had told Moses/me. They set up their tents close to their tribal flags, and when they traveled [to a new location, they walked] with their own clans and family groups.
E hicieron los hijos de Israel conforme a todo lo que Yahvé había ordenado a Moisés: acampaban bajo sus banderas, y se ponían en marcha cada cual según su familia y su casa paterna.
