< Numbers 17 >
1 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me,
Chuin PakaiyinMose henga hiti hin aseijin ahi.
2 “Tell the Israeli people to bring to you twelve walking sticks. They should bring one from each of the leaders of the twelve tribes. You should carve each leader’s name on his stick.
Israel mipi henga seijin, Amahon Tenggol somleni hin kisem uhen, Insung leh a phungkai cheh uvin khat cheh kisem uhenlang, aphung lamkai mincheh hin kisut sohkei uhen,
3 There must be one stick for the leader of each tribe, so you must carve Aaron’s name on the stick for the tribe of Levi.
Phung lamkai khat min cheh chu kijih lut ding ahijeh'in, Aaron min chu Levite phung lamkai ding chun sun in,
4 Put those sticks inside the Sacred Tent, in front of the sacred chest that has in it the tablets on which the Ten Commandments are written. That is the place where I always talk with you.
Hiche tenggol hohi nangman nakoi tup ding houbuh masanga kimutona muna keima toh iki mutoh ji ding ahi.
5 Buds will sprout on the stick of the man whom I have chosen [to be the priest]. [When the people see that], they will stop their constantly complaining about you [because they will realize that you are the one whom I have chosen].”
Hiche thingpeh ka lhen doh chunga chu hung pahdoh ding koija ahi het theina ding hiche tengle keiman achaina natoh kahin nei ding nangma chunga kipah thei lou lung lhai lou na tong ho chung hi ding ahi.
6 So Moses/I told the people what Yahweh had said. Then each of the twelve Israeli leaders, including Aaron, brought his walking stick to Moses/me.
Hichun Mose’n Israel mipi chu hilgahna aneiyin chule Israel phungsom le ni lamkai ho jouse jong chu Aaron tenggol thingpeh jong chu ahin choiyun ahi.
7 Moses/I placed the sticks inside the Sacred Tent in front of the sacred chest.
Mose’n hiche tenggol ho sese chu Pathen houbuh leitol Pathen um pettah in akoi lhah soh hel in houbuh het jing na ahi.
8 The following morning, when he/I went into the tent, he/I saw that Aaron’s stick, which represented the tribe of Levi, had sprouted, it had produced leaves and blossoms, and it had also produced almonds that were ripe!
Hichun Mose chu ajing in houbuh sung’a chun aga lut in ahileh Levite insung thakhel dia kikoi Aaron tenggol chu ana dondoh in, amum aum in, apahlhah jouvin, aga chu Almond ahin, ana min kit tai.
9 Moses/I brought all the sticks out of the Sacred Tent and showed them to the people. Each of the twelve leaders took back his own stick.
Hichun Mose’n Tenggol jouse chu Pathen masang nga ahin choi doh cheh in, aman hiche ho jouse chu mipi hochu avetsah soh keiye. Mi jousen ama ama phungkhai Tenggol vchu akilah cheh uvin ahi.
10 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “Put Aaron’s stick in front of the sacred chest, and let it stay there permanently. That will be a warning to people who want to rebel [against me]. Then no more people will die [because of complaining against me].”
Hichun Pathen in Mose ahin houlimpi’n: Aaron Tenggol chu Kitepna Thingkong chung’a chu a-itih’a na tun jing ding ahi, Hiche chu miphalou ho hilna a pang’a, Pathen douna’a akiphin’u ajom ngam tahlou nadiu leh a thilham jina’u akon ahuidoh na diuva, hettohsah a pang jing ding ahi.
11 So Moses/I did what Yahweh had commanded.
Mose’n jong Pathen in ahil bang bang chun aboltan ahi.
12 Then the Israeli people said to Moses/me, “We are going to die! All of us are surely going to die!
Israel mipiten Mose komma hitin asei uvin: Keiho pihi among thah ding bep’a um kahi tauve. Keiho athisa kahi tauve, kei ho akichai gam ding kahi tauve.
13 Everyone who comes close to Yahweh’s Sacred Tent dies. Are the rest of us going to die, also?” [RHQ]
Ajeh chu Pathen maicham nailut jouse a hiti thi thuthu jeng pihi ati tauve.
