Nehemiah 3
1 [(This is a list/These are the names) of the people who helped to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem]. Eliashib the Supreme Priest and the other priests began to rebuild it at the Sheep Gate. They also put the gates in their places. They built the wall as far as the Tower of 100 Soldiers and [further north] to the Tower of Hananel, and they dedicated it to God.
E Eliasibe, o sumo sacerdote, levantou-se com seus irmãos os sacerdotes, e edificaram a porta das Ovelhas. Eles a consagraram, e levantaram suas portas; eles a consagraram até a torre de Meá, e até a torre de Hananel.
2 Next to them, [beyond the Tower of Hananel, ] men from Jericho built [part of the wall]. Next to them, Zaccur, the son of Imri, built [part of the wall].
E ao lado dela os homens de Jericó edificaram; e ao seu lado edificou Zacur, filho de Inri.
3 The sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate. The put in their places the wooden beams above the gates, and also the doors, the bolts, and the bars [for locking the gate].
E os filhos de Hassenaá edificaram a porta do Peixe; puseram-lhe vigas, e levantaram suas portas com suas fechaduras e seus ferrolhos.
4 Next to them, Meremoth, the son of Uriah and grandson of Hakkoz, repaired [the next part of the wall]. Next to him, Meshullam, the son of Berekiah and grandson of Meshezabel, repaired [the next part of the wall]. Next to him, Zadok the son of Baana repaired the next part of the wall.
E ao seu lado reparou Meremote filho de Urias, filho de Coz; e ao seu lado reparou Mesulão filho de Berequias, filho de Mesezabel; e ao seu lado reparou Zadoque filho de Baaná.
5 Next to him, the men from Tekoa [town] repaired [part of the wall], but the leaders of Tekoa refused to do the work that their boss/supervisor assigned to them.
E ao seu lado os tecoítas repararam; porém os seus mais ilustres se recusaram a prestar serviço a seu senhor.
6 Joiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah, repaired the Old Gate. They also put in their places the beams above the gate and put in the bolts and the bars [for locking the gate].
E a porta Velha Joiada filho de Paseia, e Mesulão filho de Besodias repararam; puseram-lhe vigas, e levantaram suas portas com suas fechaduras e seus ferrolhos.
7 Next to them, Melatiah from Gibeon [city], Jadon from Meronoth [town], and other men from Gibeon and from Mizpah [city], which was where the governor of the province west of the [Euphrates] River lived, repaired [part of the wall].
E ao seu lado repararam Melatias o gibeonita, e Jadom meronotita, homens de Gibeom e de Mispá, que está sob o domínio do governador dalém do rio.
8 Next to them, Uzziel, the son of Harhaiah, and Hananiah repaired the wall as far as the Broad/Wide Wall. Harhaiah made things from gold, and Hananiah made perfumes.
E ao seu lado reparou Uziel filho de Haraías, um dos ourives; e ao seu lado reparou Hananias, um dos perfumistas. Assim restauraram a Jerusalém até o muro largo.
9 Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, who ruled half of Jerusalem District, repaired [part of the wall].
E ao seu lado reparou Refaías filho de Hur, líder da metade da região de Jerusalém.
10 Next to him, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph repaired [part of the wall] near his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah repaired [part of the wall].
E ao seu lado reparou Jedaías filho de Harumafe, assim como em frente de sua casa; e ao seu lado reparou Hatus filho de Hasbaneias.
11 Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahath-Moab, repaired a section [of the wall], and also repaired the Tower of the Ovens.
Malquias filho de Harim, e Hassube filho de Paate-Moabe, repararam a outra medida, como também a torre dos Fornos.
12 Next to them, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, who ruled the other half of Jerusalem District, repaired [part of the wall]. His daughters [helped him with the work].
E ao seu lado reparou Salum filho de Haloés, líder da metade da região de Jerusalém; ele e suas filhas.
13 Hanun and people from Zanoah [city] repaired the Valley Gate. They put the gates in their places, and also put in the bolts and bars [for locking the gate]. They repaired the wall for (1,500 feet/500 meters), as far as the Dung Gate.
Hanum e os moradores de Zanoa repararam a porta do Vale. Estes a edificaram, levantaram suas portas [com] suas fechaduras e seus ferrolhos, como também mil côvados no muro, até a porta do Esterco.
14 Malchijah the son of Rechab, who ruled Beth-Haccherem District, repaired the Dung Gate. He also put in their places the bolts and bars [for locking the gate].
Malquias filho de Recabe, líder da região de Bete-Haquerém, reparou a porta do Esterco; ele a edificou, levantou suas portas [com] suas fechaduras e seus ferrolhos.
15 Shallum the son of Colhozeh, who ruled Mizpah District, repaired the Fountain Gate. He put/built a roof over the gate, and put in their places the gates and the bolts and the bars [for locking the gate]. Near the Pool of Shelah he built the wall next to the king’s garden, as far as the steps that went down from the City of David.
Salum filho de Col-Hozé, líder da região de Mispá, reparou a porta da Fonte; ele a edificou, a cobriu, e levantou suas portas [com] suas fechaduras e seus ferrolhos; como também o muro do tanque de Selá junto ao jardim do rei, e até as degraus que descem da cidade de Davi.
16 Next to him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, who ruled half of the Beth-Zur District, repaired [the wall] as far as the tombs [in the City] of David, to the reservoir that the people had made and the army barracks.
Depois dele reparou Neemias filho de Azbuque, líder de metade da região de Bete-Zur, até em frente dos sepulcros de Davi, e até o tanque artificial, e até a casa dos Guerreiros.
17 Next to him, several descendants of Levi [who helped the priests] repaired [parts of the wall]. Rehum the son of Bani repaired one section. Hashabiah, who ruled half of the Keilah District, repaired the next section on behalf of the people of his district.
Depois dele repararam os levitas, Reum filho de Bani; ao seu lado reparou Hasabias, líder de metade da região de Queila, em sua região.
18 Bavvai the son of Henadad, who ruled the other half of the Keilah District, repaired [the next section] along with other descendants of Levi.
Depois dele repararam seus irmãos, Bavai filho de Henadade, líder de metade da região de Queila.
19 Next to him, Ezer the son of Jeshua, who ruled Mizpah [city], repaired another section in front of the [steps which] went up to the (armory/building where the weapons are kept), as far as where the wall turns [a bit to the right].
Ao seu lado reparou Ezer filho de Jesua, líder de Mispá, outra medida; em frente da subida à casa de armas da esquina.
20 Next to him, Baruch the son of Zabbai repaired a section, as far as the door of the house of Eliashib the Supreme Priest.
Depois dele reparou com grande fervor Baruque filho de Zabai a outra medida; desde a esquina até a porta da casa de Eliasibe, o sumo sacerdote.
21 Next to him, Meremoth the son of Uriah and grandson of Hakkoz, repaired a section from the door of Eliashib’s house to the end of Eliahib’s house.
Depois dele reparou Meremote filho de Urias filho de Coz a outra medida, desde a entrada da casa de Eliasibe, até o fim da casa de Eliasibe.
22 Next to him, [several priests repaired parts of the wall]. Priests from the area near Jerusalem repaired [one section].
E depois dele repararam os sacerdotes, os que habitavam na vizinhança.
23 Next to them, Benjamin and Hasshub repaired [a section] in front of their house. Azariah, the son of Maaseiah and grandson of Ananiah, repaired the next [section] in front of his house.
Depois deles repararam Benjamim e Hassube, em frente da casa deles; e depois deles reparou Azarias, filho de Maaseias, filho de Ananias, perto de sua casa.
24 Next to him, Binnui the son of Henadad repaired a section, from Azariah’s house to where the wall turns a bit.
Depois dele reparou Binui filho de Henadade, outra medida; desde a casa de Azarias até a esquina, e até o canto.
25 [Next to him], Palal the son of Uzai repaired [a section], from where the wall turns and from where the watchtower is taller than the upper palace, the one where King [Solomon] had lived. The watchtower is near the courtyard where the guards [live].
Palal, filho de Uzai, em frente da esquina e a torre que sai da casa superior do rei, que está junto ao pátio da prisão. Depois dele, Pedaías filho de Parós.
26 Next to him, Pedaiah the son of Parosh repaired [a section] toward the east to a place near the Water Gate and near the tall tower. That part of the wall is near Ophel [Hill], where the temple servants lived.
E os servos do templo, que habitavam em Ofel, [repararam] até em frente da porta das Águas ao oriente, e à torre alta.
27 Next to him, men from Tekoa [town] repaired another section, from near the tall tower as far as the wall near Ophel [Hill]. [That was the second section that they repaired].
Depois os tecoítas repararam outra medida; em frente da torre grande [e] alta, até o muro de Ofel.
28 A group of priests repaired [the wall] north from the Horse Gate. Each one repaired the section near his own house.
Os sacerdotes repararam desde a porta dos Cavalos, cada um em frente de sua casa.
29 Next to them, Zadok the son of Immer repaired [the section] in front of his house. Next to him, Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, who (was the gatekeeper at/opened and closed) the East Gate, repaired [the next section].
Depois deles reparou Zadoque filho de Imer, em frente de sua casa; e depois dele reparou Semaías filho de Secanias, guarda da porta oriental.
30 Next to him, Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired a section. That was the second [section that they repaired]. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berekiah, made repairs across from where he lived.
Depois dele reparou Hananias filho de Selemias, e Hanum, o sexto filho de Zalafe, outra medida. Depois dele reparou Mesulão, filho de Berequias, em frente de sua câmara.
31 Next to them, Malchijah, who also made things from gold, repaired [a section] as far as the building used by the temple servants and merchants, which was close to the Inspection Gate. This was the gate into the temple that was near the room on top of the northeast corner of the wall.
Depois dele reparou Malquias um dos ourives, até a casa dos servos do templo e dos mercadores; em frente da porta da Inspeção, e até a câmara do canto.
32 Other men who made things from gold, along with merchants, repaired [the last section of the wall], as far as the Sheep Gate.
E entre a câmara do canto até a porta das Ovelhas, os ourives e os mercadores repararam.
