Nehemiah 3
1 [(This is a list/These are the names) of the people who helped to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem]. Eliashib the Supreme Priest and the other priests began to rebuild it at the Sheep Gate. They also put the gates in their places. They built the wall as far as the Tower of 100 Soldiers and [further north] to the Tower of Hananel, and they dedicated it to God.
E levantou-se Eliasib, o summo sacerdote, com os seus irmãos, os sacerdotes, e edificaram a porta do gado, a qual consagraram; e levantaram as suas portas: e até a torre de Meah consagraram, e até a torre d'Hananel.
2 Next to them, [beyond the Tower of Hananel, ] men from Jericho built [part of the wall]. Next to them, Zaccur, the son of Imri, built [part of the wall].
E junto a elle edificaram os homens de Jericó: tambem ao seu lado edificou Zaccur, filho d'Imri.
3 The sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate. The put in their places the wooden beams above the gates, and also the doors, the bolts, and the bars [for locking the gate].
E a porta do peixe edificaram os filhos de Senaa; a qual emmadeiraram, e levantaram as suas portas com as suas fechaduras e os seus ferrolhos.
4 Next to them, Meremoth, the son of Uriah and grandson of Hakkoz, repaired [the next part of the wall]. Next to him, Meshullam, the son of Berekiah and grandson of Meshezabel, repaired [the next part of the wall]. Next to him, Zadok the son of Baana repaired the next part of the wall.
E ao seu lado reparou Meremoth, filho d'Urias, o filho de Kós; e ao seu lado reparou Mesullam, filho de Berechias, o filho de Mesezabel; e ao seu lado reparou Zadok, filho de Baana.
5 Next to him, the men from Tekoa [town] repaired [part of the wall], but the leaders of Tekoa refused to do the work that their boss/supervisor assigned to them.
E ao seu lado repararam os tekoitas: porém os seus illustres não metteram o seu pescoço ao serviço de seu senhor.
6 Joiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah, repaired the Old Gate. They also put in their places the beams above the gate and put in the bolts and the bars [for locking the gate].
E a porta velha repararam-n'a Joiada, filho de Paseah, e Mesullam, filho de Besodias: estes a emmadeiraram, e levantaram as suas portas com as suas fechaduras e os seus ferrolhos.
7 Next to them, Melatiah from Gibeon [city], Jadon from Meronoth [town], and other men from Gibeon and from Mizpah [city], which was where the governor of the province west of the [Euphrates] River lived, repaired [part of the wall].
E ao seu lado repararam Melatias, o gibeonita, e Jadon, meronothita, homens de Gibeon e Mispah, até ao assento do governador d'áquem do rio.
8 Next to them, Uzziel, the son of Harhaiah, and Hananiah repaired the wall as far as the Broad/Wide Wall. Harhaiah made things from gold, and Hananiah made perfumes.
Ao seu lado reparou Uziel, filho d'Harhaias, um dos ourives; e ao seu lado reparou Hananias, filho d'um dos boticarios; e deixaram a Jerusalem até ao muro largo.
9 Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, who ruled half of Jerusalem District, repaired [part of the wall].
E ao seu lado reparou Rephaias, filho d'Hur, maioral d'ametade de Jerusalem.
10 Next to him, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph repaired [part of the wall] near his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah repaired [part of the wall].
E ao seu lado reparou Jedaias, filho d'Harumaph, e defronte de sua casa; e ao seu lado reparou Hattus, filho d'Hasabneias.
11 Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahath-Moab, repaired a section [of the wall], and also repaired the Tower of the Ovens.
A outra porção reparou Malchias, filho d'Harim, e Hasub, filho de Pahathmoab: como tambem a torre dos fornos.
12 Next to them, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, who ruled the other half of Jerusalem District, repaired [part of the wall]. His daughters [helped him with the work].
E ao seu lado reparou Sallum, filho de Lohes, maioral da outra meia parte de Jerusalem, elle e suas filhas.
13 Hanun and people from Zanoah [city] repaired the Valley Gate. They put the gates in their places, and also put in the bolts and bars [for locking the gate]. They repaired the wall for (1,500 feet/500 meters), as far as the Dung Gate.
A porta do valle reparou-a Hanun e os moradores de Zanoah: estes a edificaram, e lhe levantaram as portas com as suas fechaduras e os seus ferrolhos, como tambem mil covados no muro, até á porta do monturo.
14 Malchijah the son of Rechab, who ruled Beth-Haccherem District, repaired the Dung Gate. He also put in their places the bolts and bars [for locking the gate].
E a porta do monturo reparou-a Malchias, filho de Rechab, maioral do districto de Beth-cherem: este a edificou, e lhe levantou as portas com as suas fechaduras e os seus ferrolhos.
15 Shallum the son of Colhozeh, who ruled Mizpah District, repaired the Fountain Gate. He put/built a roof over the gate, and put in their places the gates and the bolts and the bars [for locking the gate]. Near the Pool of Shelah he built the wall next to the king’s garden, as far as the steps that went down from the City of David.
E a porta da fonte reparou-a Sallum, filho de Col-hose, maioral do districto de Mispah: este a edificou, e a cobriu, e lhe levantou as portas com as suas fechaduras e os seus ferrolhos, como tambem o muro do viveiro de Selah, ao pé do jardim do rei, e até aos degraus que descem da cidade de David.
16 Next to him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, who ruled half of the Beth-Zur District, repaired [the wall] as far as the tombs [in the City] of David, to the reservoir that the people had made and the army barracks.
Depois d'elle edificou Nehemias, filho d'Azbuk, maioral da metade de Beth-zur, até defronte dos sepulchros de David, e até ao viveiro artificial, e até á casa dos varões.
17 Next to him, several descendants of Levi [who helped the priests] repaired [parts of the wall]. Rehum the son of Bani repaired one section. Hashabiah, who ruled half of the Keilah District, repaired the next section on behalf of the people of his district.
Depois d'elle repararam os levitas, Rehum, filho de Bani: ao seu lado reparou Hasabias, maioral da metade de Keila, no seu districto.
18 Bavvai the son of Henadad, who ruled the other half of the Keilah District, repaired [the next section] along with other descendants of Levi.
Depois d'elle repararam seus irmãos, Bavai, filho d'Henadad, maioral da outra meia parte de Keila.
19 Next to him, Ezer the son of Jeshua, who ruled Mizpah [city], repaired another section in front of the [steps which] went up to the (armory/building where the weapons are kept), as far as where the wall turns [a bit to the right].
Ao seu lado reparou Ezer, filho de Josué, maioral de Mispah, outra porção, defronte da subida á casa das armas, á esquina.
20 Next to him, Baruch the son of Zabbai repaired a section, as far as the door of the house of Eliashib the Supreme Priest.
Depois d'elle reparou com grande ardor Baruch, filho de Zabbai, outra medida, desde a esquina até á porta da casa d'Eliasib, o summo sacerdote.
21 Next to him, Meremoth the son of Uriah and grandson of Hakkoz, repaired a section from the door of Eliashib’s house to the end of Eliahib’s house.
Depois d'elle reparou Meremoth, filho d'Urias, o filho de Kos, outra porção, desde a porta da casa d'Eliasib, até á extremidade da casa d'Eliasib.
22 Next to him, [several priests repaired parts of the wall]. Priests from the area near Jerusalem repaired [one section].
E depois d'elle repararam os sacerdotes que habitavam na campina.
23 Next to them, Benjamin and Hasshub repaired [a section] in front of their house. Azariah, the son of Maaseiah and grandson of Ananiah, repaired the next [section] in front of his house.
Depois reparou Benjamin e Hasub, defronte da sua casa: depois d'elle reparou Azarias, filho de Maaseias, o filho d'Ananias, junto á sua casa.
24 Next to him, Binnui the son of Henadad repaired a section, from Azariah’s house to where the wall turns a bit.
Depois d'elle reparou Binnui, filho d'Henadad, outra porção, desde a casa d'Azarias até á esquina, e até ao canto.
25 [Next to him], Palal the son of Uzai repaired [a section], from where the wall turns and from where the watchtower is taller than the upper palace, the one where King [Solomon] had lived. The watchtower is near the courtyard where the guards [live].
Palal, filho d'Uzai, defronte da esquina, e a torre que sae da casa real superior, que está junto ao pateo da prisão: depois d'elle Pedaias, filho de Parós.
26 Next to him, Pedaiah the son of Parosh repaired [a section] toward the east to a place near the Water Gate and near the tall tower. That part of the wall is near Ophel [Hill], where the temple servants lived.
E os nethineos que habitavam em Ophel, até defronte da porta das aguas, para o oriente, e até á torre alta.
27 Next to him, men from Tekoa [town] repaired another section, from near the tall tower as far as the wall near Ophel [Hill]. [That was the second section that they repaired].
Depois repararam os tekoitas outra porção, defronte da torre grande e alta, e até ao muro d'Ophel.
28 A group of priests repaired [the wall] north from the Horse Gate. Each one repaired the section near his own house.
Desde acima da porta dos cavallos repararam os sacerdotes, cada um defronte da sua casa.
29 Next to them, Zadok the son of Immer repaired [the section] in front of his house. Next to him, Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, who (was the gatekeeper at/opened and closed) the East Gate, repaired [the next section].
Depois d'elles reparou Zadok, filho d'Immer, defronte de sua casa: e depois d'elle reparou Semaias, filho de Sechanias, guarda da porta oriental.
30 Next to him, Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired a section. That was the second [section that they repaired]. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berekiah, made repairs across from where he lived.
Depois d'elle reparou Hananias, filho de Selemias, e Hanun, filho de Zalaph, o sexto, outra porção: depois d'elle reparou Mesullam, filho de Berechias, defronte da sua camara.
31 Next to them, Malchijah, who also made things from gold, repaired [a section] as far as the building used by the temple servants and merchants, which was close to the Inspection Gate. This was the gate into the temple that was near the room on top of the northeast corner of the wall.
Depois d'elle reparou Malchias, filho d'um ourives, até á casa dos nethineos e mercadores, defronte da porta de Miphkad, e até á camara do canto.
32 Other men who made things from gold, along with merchants, repaired [the last section of the wall], as far as the Sheep Gate.
E entre a camara do canto e a porta do gado, repararam os ourives e os mercadores.
