Matthew 1
1 [This is] the record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, the descendant of [King] David and of Abraham, [from whom all we Jews have descended].
୧ଏଟା ଅଇଲାନି ଜିସୁକିରିସ୍ଟର୍ ଆନିଦାଦିମନର୍ ନାଉଁ ତାଲିକା । ସେ ଦାଉଦ୍ ବଁସର୍ ରଇଲା ଆରି ଦାଉଦ୍ ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ବଁସର୍ ରଇଲା ।
2 Abraham was the father of Isaac. Isaac was the father of Jacob. Jacob was the father of Judah and Judah’s [older and younger] brothers.
୨ଅବ୍ରାଅମର୍ ପଅ ଇସାକ୍, ଇସାକର୍ ପଅ ଜାକୁବ୍, ଜାକୁବର୍ ପଅ ଜିଉଦା ଆରି ତାର୍ ବାଇମନ୍ ।
3 Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah, [and their mother] was Tamar. Perez was the father of Hezron. Hezron was the father of Ram.
୩ଜିଉଦା ପେରସ୍ ଆରି ଜେରଅର୍ ବାବା ରଇଲା, ତାକର୍ ମାଆ ଅଇଲାନି ତାମର୍ । ପେରସର୍ ପଅ ଏସ୍ରନ୍ ।
4 Ram was the father of Amminadab. Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the father of Salmon.
୪ଏସ୍ରନର୍ ପଅ ଆରାମ୍, ଆରାମର୍ ପଅ ଅମିନାଦବ୍ ଅମିନାଦବର୍ ପଅ ନଅସନ୍, ନଅସନର୍ ପିଲା ସଲ୍ମନ୍
5 Salmon and his wife Rahab, [a non-Jewish woman], were the parents of Boaz. Boaz was the father of Obed. [Obed’s mother was] Ruth, [another non-Jewish woman]. Obed was the father of Jesse.
୫ସଲ୍ମନର୍ ପଅର୍ ନାଉଁ ବୟଜ୍, ବୟଜର୍ ମାଆ ରାଅବ୍ । ବୟଜର୍ ପଅର୍ ନାଉଁ ଅବେଦ୍ ଆରି ଅବେଦର୍ ମାଆର୍ ନାଉଁ ରୁତ୍ । ଅବେଦର୍ ପଅ ଜସୟ,
6 Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon. [Solomon’s mother was previously married to] Uriah.
୬ଦାଉଦ୍ ରାଜାର୍ ସାସନ୍ ବେଲେ ଅନି ଜେଡେବଲ୍ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ବାବିଲନ୍ ଦେସେ ବାନ୍ଦି ନେଇରଇଲା ଜାକ ସେତ୍କି ଆନିଦାଦିମନର୍ ତାଲିକା ଆଚେ । ଜସୟର୍ ପଅ ଦାଉଦ୍ ରାଜା । ଉରିୟର୍ ମାଇଜିର୍ ପେଟେ ଅନି ସଲ୍ମନ୍କେ ଜନମ୍ ଦେଲା,
7 Solomon was the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam was the father of Abijah. Abijah was the father of Asaph.
୭ସଲମନର୍ ପଅ ରିଅବିୟାମ୍ ରିଅବିୟାମର୍ ପଅ ଅବିୟ ।
8 Asaph was the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was the father of Jehoram. Jehoram was an ancestor of Uzziah.
୮ଅବିୟର୍ ପଅ ଆସା, ଆସାର୍ ପଅ ଜିଅସାପଟ୍, ଜିଅସାପଟର୍ ପଅ ଜରାମ୍, ଜରାମର୍ ପଅ ଉଜିୟ ।
9 Uzziah was the father of Jotham. Jotham was the father of Ahaz. Ahaz was the father of Hezekiah.
୯ଉଜିୟର୍ ପଅ ଜତାମ୍, ଜତାମର୍ ପଅ ଆଅସ୍, ଆଅସର୍ ପଅ ଇଜକିୟ ।
10 Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh. Manasseh was the father of Amon. Amon was the father of Josiah.
୧୦ଇଜକିୟର୍ ପଅ ମନସେଅ, ମନସେଅର୍ ପଅ ଆମନ୍, ଆମନର୍ ପଅ ଜସିୟ ।
11 Josiah was the grandfather of Jeconiah and Jeconiah’s brothers. [They lived] at the time when the [Babylonian army] took the Israelites as captives to the [country of] Babylon.
୧୧ଜସିୟ ବାବିଲନ୍ ନଅରେ ବାସା ଅଇରଇଲା ବେଲେ, ଜିକନିୟ ଆରି ତାର୍ ବାଇମନ୍ ଜନମ୍ ଅଇଲାଇ ।
12 After the Babylonians took the Israelites to Babylon, Jeconiah became the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel was the grandfather of Zerubbabel.
୧୨ବାବିଲନେ ବନ୍ଦିଅଇ ସାର୍ଲା ପଚେଅନି ଜିସୁର୍ ଜନମ୍ ଜାକ ଏତ୍କି ଆନିଦାଦିମନର୍ ତାଲିକା ଆଚେ । ଜିକନିୟ ବାବିଲନେ ବାସାଅଇରଇଲା ବେଲେ, ସଲ୍ଟିଏଲ୍ ଜନମ୍ ଅଇଲା, ସଲ୍ଟିଏଲର୍ ପଅ ଜିରୁବାବେଲ୍,
13 Zerubbabel was the father of Abiud. Abiud was the father of Eliakim.
୧୩ଜିରୁବାବେଲର୍ ପଅ ଅବିଉଦ୍, ଅବିଉଦର୍ ପଅ ଏଲିୟାକିମ୍, ଏଲିୟାକିମର୍ ପଅ ଅଜୁର୍ ।
14 Eliakim was the father of Azor. Azor was the father of Zadok. Zadok was the father of Akim.
୧୪ଅଜୁର୍ ପଅ ସାଦକ୍, ସାଦକର୍ ପଅ ଆକିମ୍, ଜାକିନର୍ ପଅ ଏଲିଉଦ୍, ଏଲିଉଦର୍ ପଅ ଏଲାଜାର୍, ଏଲାଜାରର୍ ପଅ ମତ୍ତାନ୍ ।
15 Akim was the father of Eliud. Eliud was the father of Eleazar. Eleazar was the father of Matthan. Matthan was the father of Jacob.
୧୫ମତ୍ତାନର୍ ପଅ ଜାକୁବ୍, ଜାକୁବର୍ ପଅ ଜସେପ୍ ।
16 Jacob was the father of Joseph. Joseph was Mary’s husband, and Mary was Jesus’ mother. Jesus is the one who is called {whom we call} the Messiah.
୧୬ଏ ଜସେପ୍ ମରିୟମ୍କେ ବିବା ଅଇରଇଲା । ମରିୟମର୍ ପେଟେଅନି ଜିସୁ ଜନମ୍ ଅଇରଇଲା । ଜିସୁ କିରିସ୍ଟକେ ମସିଅ ବଲି ମିସା ନାଉଁ ଆଚେ ।
17 [As you can calculate, I have grouped Jesus’] ancestors [as follows: ] There was [a succession of] 14 of them from [the time when] Abraham [lived] to [the time when King] David [lived]. There was [a succession of] 14 of them from [the time when] David [lived] to [the time when] the [Israelites were taken] {[the Babylonian army took the Israelites]} away to Babylon. There was [a succession of] 14 of them from [the time when the Israelites were taken] {[the Babylonian army took the Israelites]} away to Babylon until [the time when] the Messiah [was born].
୧୭ଏନ୍ତାରି ଅବ୍ରାଆମର୍ତେଇ ଅନି ଦାଉଦ୍ ରାଜାର୍ ଜାକ ଚଉଦ ଉତାର୍, ଦାଉଦର୍ତେଇ ଅନି ବାବିଲନ୍ ବନ୍ଦିରଇଲା ଜାକ ଚଉଦ ଉତାର୍, ଆରି ବାବିଲନେ ବନ୍ଦିଅଇରଇଲା ବେଲେଅନି ଜିସୁକିରିସ୍ଟର୍ ଜନମ୍ ଜାକ ଚଉଦ ଉତାର୍ ।
18 This is [the account of what happened just before] Jesus Christ was born. Mary, his mother, {had publicly promised Joseph that she would marry him} had been publicly promised to marry Joseph. Before they began to sleep together, [Mary] realized that she was pregnant. [It was the power of] the Holy Spirit that had caused her to become pregnant.
୧୮ଏଟା ଅଇଲାନି ଜିସୁ କିରିସ୍ଟର୍ ଜନମ୍ ବିସଇ । ଜିସୁର୍ ମା ମରିୟମର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଜସେପ୍ ନାଉଁର୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାର୍ ପାଇ ବିବା ମାଙ୍ଗ୍ନି ଅଇରଇଲା । ମାତର୍ ସେମନର୍ ବିବା ନ ଅଇତେ ସୁକଲ୍ ଆତ୍ମାଇ ଅନି ଗାଗ୍ଡେ ଅଇରଇବାଟା ମରିୟମ୍ ଜାନିପାର୍ଲା ।
19 Joseph, her [future] husband, was a man who obeyed God’s commands. [One of those commands was that men must divorce women who had acted immorally. So when Joseph learned that Mary was pregnant, he assumed that she was pregnant as a result of her acting immorally]. So he decided to break the engagement. But because he did not want to shame her publicly, he decided to do it privately.
୧୯ଜସେପ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ ରଇଲା ଆରି ସବୁବେଲେ ସତ୍ କାମ୍ କର୍ତେରଇଲା । ଆରି ମରିୟମ୍କେ ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ଟାନେ ନିନ୍ଦା କାତା ସୁନାଇବାକେ ମନ୍ ନ କର୍ତେ ରଇଲା । ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ କେ ନାଜାନ୍ତେ ତାର୍ ବିବା ମାଙ୍ଗ୍ନି ପିଟାଇଦେବାକେ ଉପାଇ ପାଁଚ୍ତେ ରଇଲା ।
20 While he was seriously considering this, much to his surprise, in a dream he saw an angel whom the Lord [had sent]. The angel said, “Joseph, descendant of [King] David, do not be afraid that [you(sg) would be doing wrong if you(sg) would marry] Mary. Instead, [begin to treat her] as your wife, because the Holy Spirit, [not a man], has caused her to be pregnant.
୨୦ସେ ଏନ୍ତି ଉପାଇ ପାଁଚ୍ଲା ବେଲେ, ଜସେପ୍କେ ଗଟେକ୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଦୁତ୍ ସପ୍ନେ ଦେକାଇ ଅଇ କଇଲା, ଏ ଦାଉଦର୍ ନାତିର୍ ତିତି ଜସେପ୍, ଡର୍ନାଇ । ମରିୟମ୍କେ ମାଇଜି କରି ସଙ୍ଗଅ । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସୁକଲ୍ ଆତ୍ମାଇ ଅନି ସେ ଗାଗ୍ଡେ ଅଇଲାଆଚେ ।
21 She will give birth to a son. Since it is he who will cause that his people will be saved from [the guilt of] their having sinned, name [the baby] Jesus, [which means ‘the Lord saves people’].”
୨୧ତାର୍ଟାନେଅନି ଗଟେକ୍ ପିଲା ଜନମ୍ ଅଇସି, ତମେ ତାକେ ଜିସୁ ବଲି ନାଉଁ ଦିଆସ୍, କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସେ ତାର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ସେମନର୍ ପାପେଅନି ଉଦାର୍ କର୍ସି ।
22 All this happened as a result of what the Lord told the prophet [Isaiah to write long ago about what was going to happen]. This is what Isaiah wrote:
୨୨ଆଇବା ଦିନ୍ମନ୍କେ କାଇଟା ଅଇସି ବଲି, ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ବବିସତ୍ବକ୍ତାକେ ପାଟାଇ ଜନ୍ କାତା ସୁନାଇରଇଲା, ସେଟା ପୁରାପୁରୁନ୍ ଅଇବାକେ ଏ ସବୁ ଅଇଲା ।
23 “Listen, a virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son. They will call him Emmanuel.” Emmanuel means ‘God is with us’.
୨୩ଗଟେକ୍ ଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡି ଗାଗ୍ଡେ ଅଇ ପିଲା ଜନମ୍ କର୍ସି, ଆରି ସେ ପିଲା ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ଟାନେ ଇମାନୁଏଲ୍ ବଲି ନାମାଇ ଅଇସି, ଏ ନାଉଁର୍ ଅରତ୍ ଅଇଲାନି, ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଆମର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଆଚେ ।
24 When Joseph got up from sleep, he did what the angel whom the Lord [had sent] commanded him to do. He took [Mary] home to be his wife.
୨୪ଜସେପ୍ ସଇଲା ଟାନେଅନି ଉଟି, ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଦୁତ୍ ଜେନ୍ତି କଇରଇଲା, ସେନ୍ତି କଲା । ମରିୟମ୍କେ ବିବା ଅଇଲା ।
25 But he did not have sexual relations with her until she had given birth to a son. And [Joseph] named him Jesus.
୨୫ମାତର୍ ସେ ପିଲା ଜନମ୍ ନ ଅଇବା ଜାକ ମରିୟମ୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ସୁଆବସା କରେନାଇ । ଜସେପ୍ ସେ ପିଲାକେ ଜିସୁ ବଲି ନାଉଁ ଦେଲା ।
