Malachi 2
1 You priests, I will say something to warn you.
ए पुजारी हो, यो आज्ञा तिमीहरूका निम्ति हो ।
2 The Commander of the armies of angels says [this]: “Pay attention [to what I am saying], and [then] decide [IDM] to honor me [MTY]. If you do not do that, I will curse you, and I will curse [the things that I have given to you to] bless you. And I have already cursed them, because you have not honored [IDM] me.
“यदि मेरो नाउँलाई आदर गर्न तिमीहरूले सुन्दैनौ र त्यो हृदयमा राख्दैनौ भने, म तिमीहरूकहाँ सराप पठाउनेछु, र तिमीहरूका आशिषलाई पनि सराप दिनेछु, सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ । साँच्चै, मैले तिनीहरूलाई सराप दिइसकेको छु, किनभने तिमीहरूले मेरो आज्ञालाई आफ्नो हृदयमा राखेनौ ।
3 I will punish your descendants [MET], and [it will be as though] I will splatter on your faces [some of] the material inside the stomachs of the animals that are brought to be sacrificed, and you will be thrown away with the rest of that material.
हेर, म तिमीहरूका सन्ततिलाई हप्काउन जाँदैछु, र म तिमीहरूका अनुहारमा गोबर छरिदिनेछु, तिमीहरूका चाड-पर्वहरूको गोबर, र त्योसँगै त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई लैजानेछ ।
4 When that happens, you will know that I warned you like this, in order that my agreement with [you priests who are descendants of] Levi will continue [to be obeyed]. [That is what I, ] the Commander of the armies of angels, am saying [to you].
यो आज्ञा मैले नै तिमीहरूलाई दिएको हुँ, र मेरो करार लेवीसँग रहिरहनेछ भनेर तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
5 My agreement with [your ancestor] Levi was because I wanted the priests to live prosperously and peacefully. And that is what I have done for them. I required that they greatly respect me and revere [DOU] me.
“त्यससँग मेरो करार जीवन र शान्तिको थियो, र मैले ती तिनीहरूलाई दिएँ । मैले त्यसलाई डर दिएँ, र त्यसले मेरो भय राख्यो, मेरो नाउँको भयमा त्यो उभियो ।
6 They told the people that what I instructed them to do was right. And they did not tell [MTY] lies. They worked for me peacefully and loyally, and they helped many people to stop sinning.
त्यसको मुखमा साँचो शिक्षा थियो, र त्यसको ओठमा कुनै झुट पाइएन । त्यो मसँग शान्ति र सत्यतामा हिँड्यो र त्यसले धेरैलाई पापबाट टाढा राख्यो ।
7 What priests say [MTY] should enable more people to know [about me], and people should go to them [MTY] to be taught [what I want them to know], because priests [should] be messengers from me, the Commander of the armies of angels.
किनभने पूजारीको ओठमा ज्ञान हुनुपर्छ र मानिसहरूले त्यसको मुखबाट शिक्षा खोज्नुपर्छ, किनभने त्यो सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुको समाचारवाहक हो ।
8 But, you priests have stopped doing what I wanted you to do. What you have taught people has caused many [of them] to sin. You have rejected the agreement [that I made] with [the descendants of] Levi [long ago].
तर तिमीहरू साँचो मार्गबाट टाढा गएका छौ । तिमीहरूका शिक्षाले धेरैलाई ठेस लागेको छ । तिमीहरूले लेवीको करारलाई तोडेका छौ,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
9 Therefore I have caused all the people to despise you, and I have caused you to be humiliated, because you have not obeyed me. When you teach [people] my commands, you do not treat all [people] equally.”
“यसैले मैले पनि तिमीहरूलाई सारा मानिसहरूका अगाडि तुच्छ र निंदनीय बनाएको छु, किनभने तिमीहरू मेरा मार्गमा हिँडेका छैनौ, तर शिक्षा दिइएका कुराहरूमा पक्षपात गरेका छौ ।”
10 [Now I will warn you about something else]. We all certainly [RHQ] have the same [heavenly] Father. We are certainly [RHQ] [all] created by the same God. So why are [RHQ] [some of] you disobeying/despising the agreement [that Yahweh made] with our ancestors, by not doing for each other what you said that you would do?
के हामीहरू सबैका निम्ति एउटै पिता हुनुहुन्न र? के एउटै परमेश्वरले हामीलाई बनाउनुभएको होइन र? हामीहरू हरेक किन आफ्नो दाजुभाइको विरुद्धमा विश्वासहीन हुन्छौँ, र हाम्रा पितापुर्खाका नाउँलाई अपमानित गर्दछौ?
11 [You people of] Judah have been unfaithful [to Yahweh]. You have done detestable things in Jerusalem and in [other places] in Israel. You Israeli men have defiled the temple that Yahweh loves. [You have done that by] marrying women who worship idols.
यहूदा विश्वासहीन भएको छ । इस्राएल र यरूशलेममा घिनलाग्दो काम भएको छ । परमप्रभुले प्रेम गर्नुहुने पवित्र ठाउँलाई यहूदाले अपवित्र बनाएको छ, र त्यसले पराई ईश्वरकी छोरीसँग विहे गरेको छ ।
12 I wish that Yahweh would expel from Israel every man who has done that, [even though] they [say that they are obeying] the Commander of the armies of angels by bringing offerings to him.
यसो गर्ने मानिस, जो बिउँझेको छ र जसले उत्तर दिन्छ, त्यसले सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुकहाँ भेटी अर्पण गर्ने भए तापनि, परमप्रभुले त्यसलाई याकूबका पालहरूबाट बहिष्कृत गरून् ।
13 This is another thing that you do: You cover Yahweh’s altar with your tears. You wail because he no longer pays attention to your offerings; but he is not pleased with them.
तिमीहरू यसो पनि गर्दछौ: तिमीहरू परमप्रभुको वेदीलाई आँसु, रोदन र विलापले ढाक्छौ, किनभने तिमीहरूका हातका भेटीलाई उहाँले कृपासित ग्रहण गर्नुहुन्न, न त त्योतिर ध्यान नै दिनुहुन्छ ।
14 You [cry out], saying, “Why does Yahweh not like our offerings?” The answer is that Yahweh heard what each of you men solemnly promised to your wives when you were young. But you men have not done what you promised your wives; you sent them away, the ones to whom you made that agreement.
तर तिमीहरू भन्छौ, “उहाँले किन गर्नुहुन्न?” किनभने परमप्रभु तिमीहरू र तिमीहरूका जवानीपनकी पत्नीबिच साक्षी हुनुहुन्थ्यो, र त्यो तेरी जीवनसाथी र करारअनुसार तेरी पत्नी हुँदाहुँदै पनि त्यसको विरुद्ध तिमीहरू विश्वासहीन भयौ ।
15 It is certainly [RHQ] Yahweh who joined you together. Your spirits and your bodies belong to him. [So] what he wants [RHQ] from you are godly children. So make sure that each of you men remain (with/loyal to) the woman that you married when you were young.
के उहाँले आफ्नो आत्मामा तिनीहरूलाई एक बनाउनुभएको होइन र? त्यसोभए किन उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई एक बनाउनुभयो? किनभने उहाँले परमेश्वरको सन्तान खोज्नुभएको थियो । त्यसैले आफैँलाई आफ्नो आत्मामा रखवाली गर र आफ्नो जवानी अवस्थाकी पत्नीसँग अविश्वासी नहोओ ।
16 Yahweh, the God to whom [we] Israelis belong, says, “I hate divorce!” [So] if you men divorce your wives, you are overwhelming them by being cruel to them. So be sure that you are (not disloyal/remain united) to your wives. [That is what] the Commander of the armies of angels says.
“किनभने म सम्बन्धविच्छेदलाई घृणा गर्दछु,” इस्राएलका परमेश्वर, परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “र त्यसलाई पनि जसले आफ्नो वस्त्रलाई हिंसाले ढाक्दछ,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ । “यसैकारण आफैँलाई आत्मामा रखवाली गर र विश्वासहीन नहोओ ।”
17 Yahweh [also says], “What you have said has caused me to become disgusted.” You reply, “What have we said that caused him to become disgusted?” [The answer is that you have caused him to become disgusted] by saying that Yahweh is pleased with all those who do evil things. [You have caused him to become disgusted] by [constantly] asking, “Why does God not act fairly?”
तिमीहरूले आफ्ना बोलीले परमप्रभुलाई थकित तुल्याका छौ । तर तिमीहरू भन्छौ, “हामीले उहाँलाई कसरी थकित तुल्याएका छौँ?” यसो भनेर, “दुष्ट काम गर्ने सबै परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा असल छ, र उहाँ तिनीहरूमा खुशी हुनुहुन्छ,” वा “न्यायका परमेश्वर कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ?”
