Leviticus 3
1 [“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.
“Quien presentare como oblación un sacrificio pacífico, si la ofrece del ganado mayor, sea macho o hembra la presentará sin tacha delante de Yahvé.
2 You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
Pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de la víctima, que degollará a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión y cuya sangre derramarán los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, sobre todos los costados del altar.
3 From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—
Del sacrificio pacífico ofrecerá a Yahvé, quemándolo en el fuego, el sebo que cubre las entrañas, todo el sebo que está adherido a las entrañas,
4 the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
los dos riñones, con el sebo que los cubre, el que hay sobre los ijares, y la telilla del hígado, que cortará de junto a los riñones.
5 Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.
Los hijos de Aarón lo quemarán en el altar, encima del holocausto puesto sobre la leña, debajo de la cual arde el fuego. Es sacrificio consumido por el fuego, olor grato a Yahvé.
6 If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.
Quien ofreciere a Yahvé un sacrificio pacífico del ganado menor, sea macho o hembra, lo presentará sin tacha.
7 If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].
Si ofrece como sacrificio suyo un cordero lo presentará ante Yahvé,
8 Then one of the priests will sprinkle that blood against all sides of the altar.
pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de la víctima la degollará delante del Tabernáculo de la reunión, y los hijos de Aarón derramarán la sangre sobre todos los costados del altar.
9 You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—
De este sacrificio pacífico ofrecerá (el oferente) a Yahvé, como sacrificio de combustión, el sebo y la cola entera, cortándola desde el espinazo, el sebo que cubre las entrañas, todo el sebo que está adherido a las entrañas,
10 the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
los dos riñones con el sebo que los cubre, el que hay sobre los ijares, y la telilla del hígado, que cortará de junto a los riñones.
11 One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].
El sacerdote quemará esto sobre el altar; es alimento del sacrificio de combustión ofrecido a Yahvé.
12 ‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.
Si ofreciere en sacrificio una cabra, la presentará ante Yahvé,
13 You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de la misma y la degollará delante del Tabernáculo de la Reunión; y los hijos de Aarón derramarán la sangre sobre todos los costados del altar:
14 From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,
De ella ofrecerá a Yahvé, como sacrificio de combustión, el sebo que cubre las entrañas, todo el sebo adherido a las entrañas,
15 the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
los dos riñones con el sebo que los cubre, el que hay sobre los ijares, y la telilla del hígado, que cortará de junto a los riñones.
16 The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.
El sacerdote quemará esto sobre el altar; es alimento del sacrificio de combustión, de olor grato. Toda la grasa pertenece a Yahvé.
17 ‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”
Ley perpetua es esta para vuestros descendientes. En todas vuestras moradas no comeréis ni grasa ni sangre.”
