Leviticus 3
1 [“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.
Apabila seseorang mempersembahkan seekor sapi untuk kurban perdamaian, sapi itu boleh jantan, boleh betina, tetapi tak boleh ada cacatnya.
2 You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
Orang yang mempersembahkannya harus meletakkan tangannya di atas kepala binatang itu lalu menyembelihnya di depan pintu Kemah TUHAN. Imam-imam keturunan Harun harus menyiramkan darah sapi itu pada keempat sisi mezbah.
3 From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—
Untuk kurban perdamaian kepada TUHAN, imam harus mempersembahkan bagian-bagian ini dari binatang itu: lemak yang membungkus isi perutnya,
4 the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
ginjal dengan lemaknya dan bagian yang paling baik dari hatinya.
5 Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.
Semuanya itu bersama-sama dengan kurban bakaran lainnya, harus dibakar di atas mezbah. Bau kurban makanan itu menyenangkan hati TUHAN.
6 If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.
Kalau yang dipersembahkan untuk kurban perdamaian itu seekor domba atau kambing, binatang itu boleh jantan, boleh betina, tetapi tak boleh ada cacatnya.
7 If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].
Apabila seseorang mempersembahkan seekor domba, ia harus membawanya ke Kemah TUHAN.
8 Then one of the priests will sprinkle that blood against all sides of the altar.
Di situ ia harus meletakkan tangannya di atas kepala domba itu lalu menyembelihnya di depan Kemah. Lalu imam harus menyiramkan darah domba itu pada keempat sisi mezbah.
9 You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—
Untuk kurban perdamaian kepada TUHAN, imam harus mempersembahkan bagian-bagian ini dari domba itu: lemaknya, seluruh ekornya yang berlemak dipotong dekat tulang belakangnya, lemak yang membungkus isi perutnya,
10 the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
ginjal dengan lemaknya dan bagian yang paling baik dari hatinya.
11 One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].
Imam yang bertugas harus membakar semua itu di atas mezbah untuk kurban makanan bagi TUHAN.
12 ‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.
Kalau yang dipersembahkan seekor kambing, orang yang mempersembahkannya harus membawanya ke Kemah TUHAN.
13 You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
Di situ ia harus meletakkan tangannya di atas kepala kambing itu lalu menyembelihnya di depan Kemah. Imam harus menyiramkan darah binatang itu pada keempat sisi mezbah.
14 From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,
Untuk kurban makanan bagi TUHAN, imam harus mempersembahkan bagian-bagian ini dari kambing itu: lemak yang membungkus isi perutnya,
15 the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
ginjal dengan lemaknya dan bagian yang paling baik dari hatinya.
16 The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.
Imam yang bertugas harus membakar semua itu di atas mezbah. Bau kurban makanan itu menyenangkan hati TUHAN. Semua lemak binatang itu untuk TUHAN.
17 ‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”
Orang Israel sekali-kali tak boleh makan lemak atau darah. Peraturan itu berlaku untuk selama-lamanya dan harus ditaati oleh setiap orang Israel di mana saja ia tinggal.
