Leviticus 26
1 [Yahweh also said this to Moses/me on Sinai Mountain]: “Do not make idols or set up statues of false gods or sacred stones [to worship other gods]. And do not put on your property a stone that has been shaped [to resemble a false god] and bow down to [worship] it. [You must worship only] me, Yahweh, your God.
౧“మీరు విగ్రహాలను చేసుకోకూడదు. చెక్కిన ప్రతిమను గానీ దేవతా రాతి స్తంభాన్ని గానీ నిలబెట్టకూడదు. మీ దేశంలో మీరు మొక్కడానికి చెక్కిన రాతి బొమ్మను నిలబెట్టకూడదు. నేను మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను.
2 “Honor the Sabbath days and revere my Sacred Tent, because I, Yahweh, [live there].
౨నేను నియమించిన విశ్రాంతి దినాలను మీరు ఆచరించాలి. నా పరిశుద్ధ మందిరాన్ని పవిత్రంగా చూడాలి. నేను యెహోవాను.
3 “If you carefully obey all my commands [DOU],
౩మీరు నా శాసనాలను బట్టి నడుచుకుంటూ నా ఆజ్ఞలను పాటిస్తూ వాటిని అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించాలి.
4 I will send rain for you at the proper/right times, in order that crops will grow on your land and there will be plenty of fruit on your trees.
౪వర్షాకాలంలో మీకు వర్షం ఇస్తాను. మీ భూమి పంటలనిస్తుంది. మీ పొలాల్లో చెట్లు ఫలిస్తాయి.
5 You will continue [harvesting and] threshing [grain] until it is time to harvest grapes, and you will continue to harvest grapes until it is time to start planting [things in the following year]. And you will have all the food that you want to eat, and you will live safely in your land.
౫మీ ద్రాక్ష పండ్లకాలం వరకూ మీ పంట నూర్పు కొనసాగుతుంది. మీరు తృప్తిగా తిని మీ దేశంలో నిర్భయంగా నివసిస్తారు.
6 “[If you obey all my laws], there will be peace in your country, and when you lie down [to sleep], nothing will cause you to be afraid. I will get rid of the dangerous animals in your country, and there will no wars [MTY] in your country.
౬ఆ దేశంలో నేను మీకు క్షేమం కలిగిస్తాను. మీరు పండుకొనేటప్పుడు ఎవరూ మిమ్మల్ని భయపెట్టరు. ఆ దేశంలో క్రూరమృగాలు లేకుండా చేస్తాను. మీ దేశంలోకి ఖడ్గం రాదు.
7 You will pursue your enemies and kill them with your swords:
౭మీరు మీ శత్రువులను తరుముతారు. వారు మీ ఎదుట కత్తివాత కూలుతారు.
8 Five of you will pursue 100 of them, and 100 of you will pursue 1,000 of them and kill them with your swords.
౮మీలో ఐదుగురు వంద మందిని తరుముతారు. వంద మంది పదివేల మందిని తరుముతారు, మీ శత్రువులు మీ ఎదుట కత్తివాత కూలిపోతారు.
9 “[If you obey all my laws], I will bless you and cause you to have many children [DOU]. And I will do what I said that I would do in the agreement that I made with you.
౯ఎందుకంటే నేను మిమ్మల్ని కరుణించి మీకు సంతానమిచ్చి మిమ్మల్ని విస్తరింపజేసి మీతో నేను చేసిన నిబంధనను స్థిరపరుస్తాను.
10 When you are still eating food from the harvest from the previous year, it will be necessary for you to throw away some of it to make space for the new harvest.
౧౦మీరు చాలా కాలం నిలవ ఉన్న పాత ధాన్యం తింటారు. కొత్తది వచ్చినా పాతది మిగిలి ఉంటుంది.
11 I will live among you in my Sacred Tent, and I will never reject you.
౧౧నా మందిరాన్ని మీ మధ్య ఉంచుతాను. మీ విషయం నా మనస్సు అసహ్యపడదు.
12 I will walk among you and continue to be your God, and you will continue to be my people.
౧౨నేను మీ మధ్య సంచరిస్తాను. మీకు దేవుడినై ఉంటాను. మీరు నాకు ప్రజలై ఉంటారు.
13 I am Yahweh your God, the one who brought you out of Egypt in order that you would no longer be slaves of the people of Egypt. [When you were there, you were treated as though you were animals that worked for the people of Egypt, but] [MET] I broke the bars of the (yokes/frames that were put around your necks) and enabled you to walk with your heads up.”
౧౩మీరు ఐగుప్తీయులకు దాసులు కాకుండ వారి దేశంలోనుండి మిమ్మల్ని రప్పించాను. నేను మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను. నేను మీ కాడి అడ్డకొయ్యలు విరగగొట్టి మిమ్మల్ని తలెత్తుకుని నడిచేలా చేశాను.
14 “But if you will not heed me and obey all these commands,
౧౪ఒకవేళ మీరు నా మాట వినకుండా నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటినీ అనుసరించకుండా
15 and if you reject [DOU] my decrees and laws, and do not do [DOU] what I commanded you to do in the agreement that I made with you,
౧౫నా శాసనాలను నిరాకరిస్తూ, నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటినీ నిరాకరిస్తూ నా నిబంధనను ఉల్లంఘిస్తూ నా తీర్పులను త్రోసిపుచ్చుతూ ఉంటారేమో.
16 these are the things that I will do to you: I will suddenly cause there to be disasters that will ruin you. You will have diseases that cannot be cured, and fevers that will cause you to become blind and will slowly kill you. It will be useless for you to plant seeds, because your enemies will eat the crops that grow.
౧౬అలాగైతే నేను మీకు చేసేది ఇదే. మీమీదికి భయం రప్పిస్తాను. మీకు జ్వరం కలిగించి మీ కళ్ళు దెబ్బ తిని ప్రాణాలు నీరసించి పోయేలా చేస్తాను. మీరు చల్లిన విత్తనాలు వ్యర్థమైపోతాయి. మీ శత్రువులు వాటి పంటను తింటారు.
17 I will reject/abandon you [IDM], with the result that you will be defeated by your enemies. Then those who hate you will rule you, and [you will be so terrified that] you will run away even when no one is pursuing you.
౧౭మీ నుండి ముఖం తిప్పేసుకుంటాను. మీ శత్రువులు మిమ్మల్ని లోబరచుకుంటారు. మిమ్మల్ని ద్వేషించేవారు మిమ్మల్ని పరిపాలిస్తారు. ఎవరూ తరమకపోయినా మీరు పారిపోతారు.
18 “If you still will not heed me after all those things happen to you, I will continue to punish you again and again for the sins that you have committed.
౧౮నా ఆజ్ఞలు పాటించకపోతే నేను మీ పాపాలను బట్టి మరి ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మల్ని దండిస్తాను.
19 I will cause you to no longer be stubborn and proud; I will cause [no rain to fall; it will be as though] [MET] the sky is made of iron; and the ground will be [as hard as] brass [MET].
౧౯మీ బల గర్వాన్ని భంగపరచి, ఆకాశాన్ని ఇనుములాగా భూమిని ఇత్తడిలాగా చేస్తాను.
20 You will uselessly work very hard [to plant seeds], because crops will not grow in the hard soil in your fields, and fruit will not grow on your trees.
౨౦మీ భూమి ఫలించదు. మీ దేశంలోని చెట్లు ఫలించవు. మీ బలం వృథాగా ఇంకి పోతుంది.
21 “If you continue to oppose me and refuse to heed me, I will cause you to experience disasters again and again, like you deserve to experience because of your sins.
౨౧మీరు నా మాట వినకుండా నాకు విరోధంగా నడిస్తే నేను మీ పాపాలను బట్టి మరి ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మల్ని బాధిస్తాను.
22 I will send wild animals to attack you, and they will kill your little children and destroy your cattle. There will be very few of you who will remain alive, with the result that there will be very few [HYP] people walking on the roads in your country.
౨౨మీ మధ్యకు క్రూరమృగాలను పంపిస్తాను. అవి మీ పిల్లలను ఎత్తుకుపోతాయి. మీ పశువులను నాశనం చేస్తాయి. మిమ్మల్ని కొద్ది మందిగా చేస్తాయి. మీ దారులు నిర్మానుష్యమై పోతాయి.
23 “When you experience those things that I do to punish you, if you still do not pay attention to me, and if you continue to oppose me,
౨౩ఇంత చేసినా మీరు నాకు విరోధంగా నడుస్తూ ఉంటే
24 I myself will oppose you, and I will punish you for your sins again and again.
౨౪నేను కూడా మీపై కోపంగా నడుచు కుంటాను. నేనే మీ పాపాలను బట్టి ఇంకా ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మల్ని దండిస్తాను.
25 I will send [foreign] [MTY] to punish you for not doing the things that I commanded you to do in the agreement that I made with you. If you [try to escape from your enemies by] shutting yourselves in your cities [that have walls around them], I will cause you to experience plagues, and I will allow your enemies to capture [IDM] you.
౨౫మీ మీదికి కత్తి రప్పిస్తాను. అది నా నిబంధన విషయం ప్రతి దండన చేస్తుంది. మీరు మీ పట్టణాల్లో సమకూడి ఉండగా మీ మధ్యకు తెగులు రప్పిస్తాను. మీరు శత్రువుల వశమైపోతారు.
26 When I cut off your food supply, there will be very little flour with which to make bread. As a result, ten women will be able to bake all their bread in [only] one oven. [When the bread is baked], each woman will divide it [among the members of her family, but there will be very little for each one], and when they have eaten all of it, they will still be hungry.
౨౬నేను మీ ఆహారాన్ని, అంటే మీ ప్రాణాధారం తీసేసిన తరువాత పదిమంది స్త్రీలు ఒక్క పొయ్యిలోనే మీకు రొట్టెలు చేసి కొలత ప్రకారం మీకు ఇస్తారు. మీరు తింటారు గాని తృప్తి పొందరు.
27 “After all those things happen, if you still do not heed me, if you still oppose me,
౨౭నేను ఇలా చేసిన తరువాత కూడా మీరు నా మాట వినక నాకు విరోధంగా నడిస్తే
28 I will be very angry with you, and I will oppose you, and I myself will punish you for your sins again and again.
౨౮నేను కోపపడి మీకు విరోధంగా నడుస్తాను. నేనే మీ పాపాలను బట్టి ఏడంతలుగా మిమ్మల్ని దండిస్తాను.
29 [You will be extremely hungry, with the result that] you will [kill] your sons and daughters and eat their flesh.
౨౯మీరు మీ కొడుకుల మాంసం తింటారు, మీ కుమార్తెల మాంసం తింటారు.
30 I will cause the shrines [where you worship idols] on hilltops to be destroyed. I will smash the altars where you burn incense [to worship your gods], and I will cause your corpses to be piled on the lifeless statues of your gods. And I will detest you.
౩౦నేను మీ ఉన్నత స్థలాలను పాడు చేస్తాను. మీ విగ్రహాలను ధ్వంసం చేస్తాను. మీ విగ్రహాల శవాలపై మీ శవాలను పడవేయిస్తాను. నా మనస్సులో మిమ్మల్ని అసహ్యించు కుంటాను.
31 I will cause your cities to become heaps of ruins, and I will cause the buildings that are dedicated to the worship of your gods to be smashed. And I will not be pleased at all with the aroma of your offerings [that are burned on the altar].
౩౧నేను మీ ఊళ్ళను పాడు చేస్తాను. మీ పరిశుద్ధ స్థలాలను పాడుచేస్తాను. మీ సువాసన గల అర్పణలును వాసన చూడను.
32 I will completely ruin your country, with the result that even your enemies who capture it will be shocked/appalled [when they see it].
౩౨నేనే మీ దేశాన్ని పాడు చేసిన తరువాత దానిలో నివసించే మీ శత్రువులు దాన్ని చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపడతారు.
33 I will enable [your enemies to kill you with] their swords, and I will cause the rest of you to be scattered among other nations. Your country will be ruined and your cities will become ruins.
౩౩జనాల్లోకి మిమ్మల్ని చెదరగొట్టి కత్తి దూసి మీ వెంటబడి తరుముతాను. మీ దేశం పాడైపోతుంది, మీ ఊళ్లు పాడుబడిపోతాయి.
34 After that happens, as long as you are living in your enemies’ countries, your land will be allowed to rest, like you should have allowed it to rest every seven years.
౩౪మీరు మీ శత్రువుల దేశంలో ఉండగా మీ దేశం పాడుబడి ఉన్న కాలమంతా అది తన విశ్రాంతి కాలాలను అనుభవిస్తుంది.
35 All the time that your land is desolate, it will be able to rest, like you did not enable it to rest during all the years that you lived there.
౩౫అది పాడై ఉండే దినాలన్నీ విశ్రాంతి తీసుకుంటుంది. మీరు దానిలో నివసించినప్పుడు అది విశ్రాంతి కాలంలో పొందలేకపోయిన విశ్రాంతిని అది పాడై ఉన్న దినాల్లో అనుభవిస్తుంది.
36 “As for you people who will remain alive in the countries to which your enemies [will have taken you], I will cause you to become so afraid that when you hear the sound of leaves being blown by the wind, you will run away. You will run like [SIM] you are running from [a man carrying] a sword, and you will fall down, even though no one is pursuing you.
౩౬మీలో మిగిలినవారు తమ శత్రువుల దేశాల్లో ఉండగా వారి హృదయాల్లో అధైర్యం పుట్టిస్తాను. గాలికి కొట్టుకుపోతున్న ఆకు చప్పుడుకు వారు పారిపోతారు. ఖడ్గం నుండి తప్పించుకోడానికి పారిపోతున్నట్టు వారు ఆ చప్పుడు విని పారిపోతారు. తరుమేవాడు ఎవరూ లేకుండానే పడిపోతారు.
37 You will stumble over each other. So you will not be able to stand and fight your enemies.
౩౭తరిమేవాడు ఎవరూ లేకుండానే వారు కత్తిని చూసినట్టుగా ఒకడి మీద ఒకడు పడతారు. మీ శత్రువుల ఎదుట మీరు నిలవలేక పోతారు.
38 Many of you will die in the countries that belong to your enemies [DOU].
౩౮మీరు జనంగా ఉండకుండాా నశించి పోతారు. మీ శత్రువుల దేశం మిమ్మల్ని తినేస్తుంది.
39 And those of you who remain alive will slowly die and rot in the countries of your enemies because of your sins and because of the sins of your ancestors.
౩౯మీలో మిగిలినవారు మీ శత్రువుల దేశాల్లో తమ దోషాలను బట్టి క్షీణించిపోతారు. వారు తమ మీదికి వచ్చిన తమ తండ్రుల దోషాలను బట్టి క్షీణించిపోతారు.
40 “But your descendants must confess their sins and the sins that their ancestors committed. Their ancestors acted unfaithfully toward me and were hostile to me, with the result that I forced them to go to the countries that belonged to their enemies. But when your descendants humble themselves [SYN] and stop being very stubborn [IDM] and accept being punished for their sins,
౪౦వారు నాకు విరోధంగా చేసిన తిరుగుబాటును, తమ దోషాన్ని, తమ తండ్రుల దోషాన్ని ఒప్పుకుని, తాము నాకు విరోధంగా నడిచామని,
౪౧నేను వారికి విరోధంగా నడిచానని, తమ శత్రువుల దేశంలోకి తమ్మును రప్పించాననీ ఒప్పుకుంటే, అంటే లోబడని తమ హృదయాలు లొంగి తాము చేసిన దోషానికి ప్రతి దండన అనుభవించామని ఒప్పుకుంటే,
42 I will remember the agreement that I made with [your ancestors] Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and [what I promised them about] this land.
౪౨నేను యాకోబుతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకుంటాను. నేను ఇస్సాకుతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను నేను అబ్రాహాముతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకుంటాను. ఆ దేశాన్ని కూడా జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకుంటాను.
43 But [before that happens], you will be forced to leave your land, with the result that the land will be able to rest while it is desolate and while the people are being punished for rejecting my laws and hating my decrees [DOU].
౪౩తమ దేశాన్ని వారు విడిచిపెట్టి పోగా పాడైపోయిన వారి దేశం తన విశ్రాంతి దినాలను అనుభవిస్తుంది. వారు నా తీర్పులను తిరస్కరించి నా శాసనాలను అసహ్యించుకున్నారు. ఆ కారణం చేతనే వారు తమ పైకి వచ్చిన దోషశిక్ష న్యాయమని ఒప్పుకొంటారు.
44 But when that happens, I will still not reject them or hate them and destroy them completely. I will not cancel the agreement that I made with them; for I am still Yahweh their God.
౪౪అయితే వారు తమ శత్రువుల దేశంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు వారిని నిరాకరించను. నా నిబంధనను భంగపరచి వారిని బొత్తిగా నశింపజేయడానికి వారిపై అసహ్యపడను. ఎందుకంటే నేను వారి దేవుడైన యెహోవాను.
45 I will (remember/never forget) the agreement that I made with your ancestors when I brought them out of Egypt, in order that the people of all nations will know that I, Yahweh, [will continue to] be your God.”
౪౫నేను వారికి దేవుడనై ఉండేలా వారి పూర్వికులను వివిధ జాతులు చూస్తుండగా ఐగుప్తులో నుండి రప్పించి వారితో చేసిన నిబంధనను ఆ పూర్వికులను బట్టి జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకుంటాను. నేను యెహోవాను, అని చెప్పు” అన్నాడు.
46 Those are the decrees, the laws, and the regulations [DOU] that Yahweh established on Sinai Mountain between himself and the Israeli people by [giving them to] Moses/me [to tell to them].
౪౬యెహోవా మోషే ద్వారా సీనాయి కొండ మీద తనకు, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును మధ్య నియమించిన శాసనాలు, తీర్పులు, ఆజ్ఞలు ఇవే.
