Leviticus 17
1 Yahweh also said to Moses/me,
യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു:
2 “Speak to Aaron and his sons and to all the other Israeli people, and say this to them: ‘This is what Yahweh has commanded:
നീ അഹരോനോടും പുത്രന്മാരോടും എല്ലായിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടും പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ കല്പിച്ച കാര്യം ആവിതു:
3 If you sacrifice an ox or a lamb or a goat, you must bring it [to the priest] at the entrance of the Sacred Tent [area], to present/offer it to me there.
യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും കാളയെയോ ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടിയെയോ കോലാടിനെയോ പാളയത്തിൽവെച്ചെങ്കിലും പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചെങ്കിലും അറുക്കയും
4 If you slaughter it to be a sacrifice anywhere else in the camp or outside the camp, you will be guilty of killing an animal [in an unacceptable place]. As a result you will no longer be allowed to be/associate with my people.
അതിനെ യഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ യഹോവെക്കു വഴിപാടായി അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ അതു അവന്നു രക്തപാതകമായി എണ്ണേണം; അവൻ രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചു; ആ മനുഷ്യനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.
5 That rule is in order that you Israeli people, instead of offering sacrifices in the open fields, will offer them to me by taking them to the priest at the entrance of the Sacred Tent [area], to be offerings to maintain fellowship [with me].
യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ വെളിമ്പ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അർപ്പിച്ചുവരുന്ന യാഗങ്ങളെ യഹോവെക്കു സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളായി അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
6 [After the animal is slaughtered], the priest must sprinkle some of its blood against the altar at the entrance of the Sacred Tent, and burn its fat to be an aroma that is pleasing to me.
പുരോഹിതൻ അവയുടെ രക്തം സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ തളിച്ചു മേദസ്സു യഹോവെക്കു സൗരഭ്യവാസനയായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണം.
7 You people must no longer give sacrifices to the demons that resemble goats which you are worshiping. You people must obey this command forever.’
അവർ പരസംഗമായി പിന്തുടരുന്ന ഭൂതങ്ങൾക്കു ഇനി തങ്ങളുടെ ബലികൾ അർപ്പിക്കരുതു; ഇതു തലമുറതലമുറയായി അവർക്കു എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടം ആയിരിക്കേണം.
8 “And tell this to the people: ‘If any Israeli or any foreigner who is living among them brings an offering that is to be completely burned [on the altar], or any other sacrifice,
നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും ഹോമയാഗമോ ഹനനയാഗമോ അർപ്പിക്കയും
9 and does not bring it to the entrance of the Sacred Tent [area] to be a sacrifice to me, that person will no longer be allowed to associate with my people.
അതു യഹോവെക്കു അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.
10 ‘I will reject [IDM] any Israeli or any foreigner who is living among you who eats any blood, and I [will command that he] no longer be allowed to associate with my people.
യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും വല്ല രക്തവും ഭക്ഷിച്ചാൽ രക്തം ഭക്ഷിച്ചവന്റെ നേരെ ഞാൻ ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.
11 That is because the life of every creature is in its blood; I have declared that it is blood that is to be offered on the altar to enable people to be forgiven for their sins.
മാംസത്തിന്റെ ജീവൻ രക്തത്തിൽ അല്ലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു; യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ അതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; രക്തമല്ലോ ജീവൻമൂലമായി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം ആകുന്നതു.
12 That is why I say that you Israelis must not eat blood, and the foreigners who live among you must also not eat blood.
അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ നിങ്ങളിൽ യാതൊരുത്തനും രക്തം ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശിയും രക്തം ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളോടു കല്പിച്ചതു.
13 ‘Any Israeli or any foreigner who is living among you who hunts any animal or bird that is permitted for you to eat, must drain out the blood [of the animal or bird that he kills], and cover the blood with dirt.
യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും തിന്നാകുന്ന ഒരു മൃഗത്തെയോ പക്ഷിയെയോ വേട്ടയാടി പിടിച്ചാൽ അവൻ അതിന്റെ രക്തം കളഞ്ഞു മണ്ണിട്ടു മൂടേണം.
14 This is because the life of every creature is in its blood. And that is why I have said [DOU] to you Israelis that anyone who eats blood must no longer [be allowed to associate with my people].
സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ജീവൻ അതിന്റെ ജീവാധാരമായ രക്തം തന്നേ. അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു: യാതൊരു ജഡത്തിന്റെ രക്തവും നിങ്ങൾ ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചതു; സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ജീവൻ അതിന്റെ രക്തമല്ലോ; അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനെയെല്ലാം ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.
15 ‘Anyone in Israel, including foreigners, who eats any of the meat of any creature that is found dead, or that had been killed by wild animals, must wash his clothes and bathe. Then he must not touch anyone until that evening.
താനേ ചത്തതിനെയോ പറിച്ചുകീറിപ്പോയതിനെയോ തിന്നുന്നവനൊക്കെയും സ്വദേശിയായാലും പരദേശിയായാലും വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി വെള്ളത്തിൽ കുളിക്കയും സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കയും വേണം; പിന്നെ അവൻ ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവനാകും.
16 If he does not do those things, he will be punished for what he did.’”
വസ്ത്രം അലക്കാതെയും ദേഹം കഴുകാതെയും ഇരുന്നാൽ അവൻ കുറ്റം വഹിക്കേണം.
