< Leviticus 17 >

1 Yahweh also said to Moses/me,
Pakaiyin, Mose henga hiti hin aseipeh in,
2 “Speak to Aaron and his sons and to all the other Israeli people, and say this to them: ‘This is what Yahweh has commanded:
Aaron le achapte chule Israel chate jouse henga aseipeh ding in, bannei chan dan hochu athupeh in ahi.
3 If you sacrifice an ox or a lamb or a goat, you must bring it [to the priest] at the entrance of the Sacred Tent [area], to present/offer it to me there.
Israel telah a koi hijong leh, Pakai, Pathen chenna ponbuh kot phung tailouva; Pakai adia kilhaina bong, kelngoi chule kelcha that pen pen in danthu apalkeh ahi.
4 If you slaughter it to be a sacrifice anywhere else in the camp or outside the camp, you will be guilty of killing an animal [in an unacceptable place]. As a result you will no longer be allowed to be/associate with my people.
Ama chun thisan asotah jeh a, Pathen miteh lah a kona kisimtha lou ding ahi.
5 That rule is in order that you Israeli people, instead of offering sacrifices in the open fields, will offer them to me by taking them to the priest at the entrance of the Sacred Tent [area], to be offerings to maintain fellowship [with me].
Hiche thupeh in adeisah pen chu, gammang tollah a kithat gancha jouse chu, Pakai angsunga ahin kailut diuva thupeh ahi. Kotbul lama thempupa henga ahinkai lut diu, kiloikhomna thilto dia kithat ding ahi.
6 [After the animal is slaughtered], the priest must sprinkle some of its blood against the altar at the entrance of the Sacred Tent, and burn its fat to be an aroma that is pleasing to me.
Thisan chu thempu pan ki khop khomna ponbuh kot phung maicham kimvel jousea athe thang ding, Pakaiya dia sathao hochu gimnamtuiya agovam ding ahi.
7 You people must no longer give sacrifices to the demons that resemble goats which you are worshiping. You people must obey this command forever.’
Israel chaten Pathen ajoulhep nauva kelcha limsemthu, doihou dinga gammang lah a gancha atha kitlou diu ahi. Hiche dan thupeh hi Israelten akhang akhanga ajui diu ahi.
8 “And tell this to the people: ‘If any Israeli or any foreigner who is living among them brings an offering that is to be completely burned [on the altar], or any other sacrifice,
Israel mite hihen amaho lah a cheng gamchom mi hijong leh pumgo thilto ahi.
9 and does not bring it to the entrance of the Sacred Tent [area] to be a sacrifice to me, that person will no longer be allowed to associate with my people.
Kikhop khomna ponbuh kotphung tailouva Pathen adia kilhaina sem jouse, Pathen mite holah a kona kisim thalou ding ahi.
10 ‘I will reject [IDM] any Israeli or any foreigner who is living among you who eats any blood, and I [will command that he] no longer be allowed to associate with my people.
Israel hihen gamchom mi hijong leh, thisan lhoh lha theng louva sa toh neh tha aum le, hichu Pakai, Pathen toh kidou ahin, amite lah akona simtha lou ding ahi.
11 That is because the life of every creature is in its blood; I have declared that it is blood that is to be offered on the altar to enable people to be forgiven for their sins.
Ganhing jouse hinna hi thisan akon ahi, hiche jeh achu Pakaiyin mi jouse chonset suhmang ahitheina dinga, hichu maicham phunga asun lhah dinga thupeh ahi.
12 That is why I say that you Israelis must not eat blood, and the foreigners who live among you must also not eat blood.
Hijeh chun Pakaiyin Israel chate le alah uva cheng gamchom miho jaonaa, sa chu thisan jaonaa neh lou dia athupeh ahi.
13 ‘Any Israeli or any foreigner who is living among you who hunts any animal or bird that is permitted for you to eat, must drain out the blood [of the animal or bird that he kills], and cover the blood with dirt.
Israel mi hihen, gamchom mi alah uva cheng hi jong leh, gamlah a saham vacha ham, houtoh kitoh a atheng, hiche ho that pen pen chu thisanso ahitan, hichu leiset avuh khu ding ahi.
14 This is because the life of every creature is in its blood. And that is why I have said [DOU] to you Israelis that anyone who eats blood must no longer [be allowed to associate with my people].
Ganhing hinna kiti hi thisan ahin, hibanga chu sa kiti phot Israel chaten thisan jaonaa nehlou dia Pakai thupeh ahi, koi hileh anetha chu amite lah a kona pampeiya um ding ahi.
15 ‘Anyone in Israel, including foreigners, who eats any of the meat of any creature that is found dead, or that had been killed by wild animals, must wash his clothes and bathe. Then he must not touch anyone until that evening.
Israel mi hihen gamchom mi hijong leh, gan thikam ahilouleh, sa hang ham in atha nekha aum le avon jouse akisop theng ding, ama jong kisil lha ding, nilhum keiya atheng louva um ding ahi.
16 If he does not do those things, he will be punished for what he did.’”
Hichu abol tah louva ahileh, themmo chang ding ahi.
