< Leviticus 11 >

1 Yahweh said to Aaron and Moses/me,
Markaasaa Rabbigu la hadlay Muuse iyo Haaruun, oo wuxuu ku yidhi.
2 “Tell the Israeli people that [this is what Yahweh says]: From all the animals that live on the land, these are the ones that you are permitted to eat:
Reer binu Israa'iil la hadla, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaan, Kuwanu waa waxyaalaha noolnool oo aad ka cunaysaan xayawaanka dhulka jooga oo dhan,
3 The ones that have hooves that are completely split and that (chew their cuds/bring their food up from their stomachs to chew it again).
Wax alla wixii xayawaan ah oo raafkoodu kala jeexan yahay, oo qanjaafilo leeyahay, oo calyanaqsiga raamsado waa inaad cuntaan.
4 There are some animals that chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, and some animals that have split hooves but do not chew their cuds. You must not eat any of those animals. [For example], camels chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
Habase yeeshee, kuwan oo ka mid ah kuwa calyanaqsiga raamsado oo raafka jeexan leh waa inaydaan cunin, kuwaasoo ah geela, maxaa yeelay, calyanaqsiga wuu raamsadaa, laakiinse raafkiisu ma kala jeexna, haddaba isagu waa idinka nijaas.
5 Rock badgers chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
Oo waladana ha cunina, maxaa yeelay, iyadu calyanaqsiga way raamsataa, laakiinse raafkeedu ma kala jeexna, haddaba iyadu waa idinka nijaas.
6 Rabbits chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
Oo bakaylahana ha cunina, maxaa yeelay, isagu calyanaqsiga wuu raamsadaa, laakiinse raafkiisu ma kala jeexna, haddaba isagu waa idinka nijaas.
7 Pigs have completely split hooves but they do not chew their cuds, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
Oo doofaarkana ha cunina, maxaa yeelay, isaga raafkiisu waa kala jeexan yahay, oo qanjaafiluu leeyahay, laakiinse calyanaqsiga ma raamsado, sidaas daraaddeed isagu waa idinka nijaas.
8 All of those animals are unacceptable for you, so you must not eat their meat or even touch their carcasses.
Haddaba kuwaas hilibkooda waa inaydaan cunin, oo baqtigoodana waa inaydaan taaban, maxaa yeelay, iyagu waa idinka nijaas.
9 From all the creatures that live in the oceans and the streams, you are permitted to eat any that have fins and scales.
Waxa biyaha ku dhex jira oo dhan kuwan ka cuna: wax alla wixii baalal iyo qolfo leh oo ku dhex jira biyaha iyo badaha iyo webiyada cuna.
10 But you must detest [and not eat] those that do not have fins and scales. That includes ones that are very small.
Laakiinse wax alla wixii aan baalal iyo qolfo lahayn oo ku dhex jira badaha iyo webiyada, iyo waxa biyaha ku dhex dhaqdhaqaaqa oo dhan, iyo kulli waxyaalaha noolnool oo biyaha ku dhex jira oo dhammu waa idinka karaahiyo.
11 You must despise them, and you must not eat their meat, and you must detest their carcasses.
Haddaba iyagu waa inay karaahiyo idinka ahaadaan; idinku waa inaydaan hilibkooda cunin, oo baqtigoodana waa inuu karaahiyo idinka ahaadaa.
12 You must detest everything that lives in the water that does not have fins and scales.
Wax alla wixii biyaha ku dhex jira oo aan lahayn baalal iyo qolfo waa idinka karaahiyo.
13 There are some birds that you must detest [and not eat]. They include eagles, bearded vultures, black vultures,
Oo haaddana waxaa idinka karaahiyo ah kuwan, oo iyaga waa inaan la cunin, waayo, iyagu waa karaahiyo, waana baqalyada, iyo babawga, iyo saratoosiyaha,
14 kites, any kind of falcon/buzzard,
iyo xuunshada, iyo shimbirlaayaha, iyo faragooysta caynkeeda,
15 any kind of raven,
iyo cayn kasta oo tuke ah,
16 horned owls, screech owls, seagulls, any kind of hawk,
iyo gorayada, iyo aboodiga, iyo shimbirbadeedda, iyo cayn kasta oo haadka adag,
17 small owls, cormorants, large owls,
iyo guumaysta yar, iyo xeebajoogta iyo guumaysta weyn,
18 white owls, desert owls, vultures that eat dead animals,
iyo guumaysgeesaleyda, iyo cantalyaaga, iyo gorgorka,
19 storks, any kind of heron, hoopoes, and bats.
iyo xuurta, iyo haadbiyoodda iyo caynteeda, iyo ceelajoogjoogta, iyo fiidmeerta.
20 You must detest [and not eat] flying insects that [sometimes] walk on the ground [MTY].
Oo wax baalal leh oo gurguurta oo afarta addinba ku socda dhammaantood waa idinka karaahiyo.
21 But you are permitted to eat creatures with wings that sometimes walk on the ground if they have jointed legs for hopping around.
Laakiinse wax baalal leh oo gurguurta oo afarta addinba ku socda dhammaantood waxaad ka cuni kartaan kuwa addimmada ku leh cagahooda ka kor, oo dhulka ku kor boodbooda,
22 They include locusts, crickets, and grasshoppers.
iyaga waxaad ka cuntaan kuwa caynkan ah oo ah ayaxa iyo caynkiisa, iyo kabajaanka iyo caynkiisa, iyo jiriqsiga iyo caynkiisa, iyo koronkorrada iyo caynkeeda.
23 But you must detest [and not eat] other insects with wings that have four legs.
Laakiinse wax baalal leh oo gurguurta oo afarta cagood lahu, waa idinka karaahiyo.
24 ‘There are certain creatures that if you touch their carcasses you will become defiled. Anyone who touches their carcasses must not touch other people until that evening.
Oo kuwaas idinku waad ku nijaasoobaysaan, oo ku alla kii baqtigooda taabtaa nijaas buu ahaanayaa tan iyo fiidkii,
25 Anyone who picks up one of their carcasses must wash his clothes and not touch other people until that evening.
oo ku alla kii baqtigooda wax ka qaadaa waa inuu dharkiisa maydhaa, oo nijaas buu ahaanayaa tan iyo fiidkii.
26 ‘The animals whose carcasses you must not touch are those that have hooves that are not completely divided or animals that do not chew their cuds. Anyone who touches the carcasses of any of those animals becomes (defiled/unacceptable to me).
Xayawaan kasta oo raafkiisu kala jeexan yahay, oo aan qanjaafilo lahayn ama aan calyanaqsiga raamsan waa idinka nijaas, oo ku alla kii iyaga taabtaana wuu nijaasoobayaa.
27 From all the animals that walk on the ground, you must not touch the carcasses of those that have paws to walk on. Anyone who touches one of their carcasses must not touch other people until that evening.
Oo xayawaanka afarta addinba ku socda, wax alla wixii baabacooyinka ku socdaa waa idinka nijaas, oo ku alla kii baqtigooda taabtaa nijaas buu ahaanayaa tan iyo fiidkii.
28 Anyone who picks up one of their carcasses must wash his clothes and not touch other people until that evening, because touching their carcasses (defiles you/causes you to become unacceptable to me).
Oo kii baqtigooda qaadaana waa inuu dharkiisa maydhaa, oo tan iyo fiidkiina nijaas buu ahaanayaa, waayo, iyagu waa idinka nijaas.
29 ‘From all the animals that walk on the ground, these are the ones that (defile you/cause you to become unacceptable to me) [if you touch them]: Moles, rats, any kind of lizard,
Oo waxa dhulka ku gurguurta oo dhan kuwanu waa kuwa idinka nijaas ah, waana fadhanfadhka, iyo jiirka, iyo amuurka iyo caynkiisa oo dhan,
30 geckos, skinks, and chameleons.
iyo ilweynta iyo maansalugaleyda, iyo qorratada, iyo mulaca, iyo jirjirroolaha.
31 Those creatures that scurry across the ground (defile you/cause you to become unacceptable to me); anyone who touches one of their carcasses must not touch other people until the evening.
Oo waxa gurguurta oo dhan kuwaasu waa kuwa idinka nijaas ah, oo ku alla kii taabtaa markay dhintaan nijaas buu ahaan doonaa tan iyo fiidkii.
32 When one of those creatures dies and falls on something, the thing that it falls on, whatever it is used for, will become (defiled/unacceptable to me), whether it is made of wood or cloth or the hide of some animal or from rough cloth. You must put it in water. Then you must not use it until that evening.
Oo wax alla wixii ay ku dhacaan markay dhintaan, nijaas bay ahaan doonaan, hadday yihiin weel qori ah, ama dhar, ama harag, ama joonyad, weelkaasu wax kasta ha ahaadee haddii wax loogu isticmaalo waa in biyo la dhex geliyaa, oo tan iyo fiidkiina nijaas buu ahaanayaa, oo markaas dabadeedna daahir buu ahaanayaa.
33 If one of them falls into a clay pot, everything in it becomes defiled, and you must break that pot into pieces.
Oo weelkii dhoobo ah oo mid iyaga ka mid ahu gudihiisa ku dhaco, wax alla wixii weelkaas gudihiisa ku jiraaba way nijaasoobi doonaan, oo weelkiina waa inaad jebisaan.
34 If you pour water from that pot on any food, you must not eat that food. And you must not drink any water from that pot.
Oo waxa la cuno oo ku jira oo biyo gaadhaanba way nijaasoobi doonaan, oo weelka caynkaas ah waxa la cabbo oo ku jira oo dhammuna way nijaasoobi doonaan.
35 Anything that one of the carcasses of those creatures falls on becomes (defiled/unacceptable to me); even if it falls on an oven or a cooking pot, anything that it falls on must be broken into pieces. It becomes unacceptable to me and you must not use it again.
Oo wax alla wixii wax baqtigooda ahu ku dhacaanba way nijaasoobi doonaan, hadday yihiin foorno ama sholad, waa in la burburiyaa, waayo, iyagu waa nijaas, waana inay nijaas idinka ahaadaan.
36 If one of their carcasses falls into a spring or a pit for storing water, the water may still be drunk, but anyone who touches one of those carcasses becomes unacceptable to me.
Habase yeeshee il amase god ay biyo badanu ku jiraan daahir bay ahaanayaan, laakiinse wixii baqtigooda taabtaa way nijaasoobayaan.
37 If one of those carcasses falls on seeds that are to be planted, those seeds are still acceptable to be planted.
Oo wax baqtigooda ahu hadday ku dhacaan abuur la abuurayo, kaasu waa daahir.
38 But if water has been put on the seeds and then a carcass falls on them, the seeds must be thrown away.
Laakiinse abuurka haddii biyo lagu shubo oo wax baqtigooda ahu ay ku dhacaan markaas waa idinka nijaas.
39 ‘If an animal [whose meat] you are permitted to eat dies, anyone who touches its carcass must not touch other people until that evening.
Oo xayawaanka aad cuni kartaan midkood hadduu dhinto, kii baqtigiisa taabtaa nijaas buu ahaanayaa tan iyo fiidkii.
40 Anyone who eats some meat from that carcass must wash his clothes, and then he must not touch anyone until that evening.
Oo neefkaas baqtigiisa qofkii cunaana waa inuu dharkiisa maydhaa, oo isna nijaas buu ahaanayaa tan iyo fiidkii, oo kii neefka baqtigiisa qaadaana waa inuu dharkiisa maydhaa, oo isna nijaas buu ahaanayaa tan iyo fiidkii.
41 ‘All creatures that scurry across the ground, including those that move on their bellies and those that crawl, are detestable, and they must not be eaten.
Oo wax kasta oo dhulka ku gurguurtaaba waa karaahiyo, oo waa inaan la cunin.
Wax alla wixii bogga ku socda, iyo wax alla wixii afar addin ku socda, amase wax alla wixii addimmo badan leh, kuwaas oo ah waxyaalaha dhulka ku gurguurta oo dhan, waa inaydaan cunin, waayo, iyagu waa karaahiyo.
43 Do not (defile yourselves/cause you to become unacceptable to me) by [eating] any of those creatures [DOU].
Idinku waa inaydaan karaahiyo iskaga dhigin waxa dhulka ku gurguurta oo dhan, oo waa inaydaan iyaga isku nijaasayn si aydaan iyaga ugu nijaasoobin.
44 I am Yahweh your God, and I am holy, so you must consecrate yourselves and be holy. You must avoid eating things that cause you to be unacceptable to me. Do not cause yourselves to become unacceptable to me by eating creatures that scurry across the ground.
Waayo, anigu waxaan ahay Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah, haddaba isdaahiriya oo quduus ahaada, maxaa yeelay, anigu quduus baan ahay. Oo waa inaydaan isku nijaasayn cayn kasta oo ah waxa gurguurta oo dhulka ku kor dhaqdhaqaaqa.
45 I am Yahweh, the one who freed you from [being slaves in] Egypt, in order to be your God. Therefore, because I am holy, you must be holy.
Waayo, anigu waxaan ahay Rabbigii dalkii Masar idinka soo bixiyey inuu Ilaah idiin ahaado, haddaba sidaas daraaddeed waa inaad quduus ahaataan, waayo, anba quduus baan ahay.
46 'Those are the regulations concerning animals and birds, all the living creatures that live in water or scurry across the ground.
Haddaba intaasu waa sharciga ku saabsan xayawaanka, iyo haadda, iyo wax kasta oo nool oo biyaha ku dhex dhaqdhaqaaqa, iyo wax kasta oo dhulka ku gurguurta;
47 You must learn what things [I say] are acceptable to me and what things are not, and learn what things you are permitted to eat and what things you are not permitted to eat.’”
si loo kala duwo waxa nijaasta ah iyo waxa daahirka ah, iyo waxa nool oo la cuni karo iyo waxa nool ee aan la cuni karin.
