Joshua 21
1 While Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of all the Israeli tribes were at Shiloh, the leaders of the clans of the tribe of Levi went to them and said, “Yahweh commanded Moses that you should give us towns where we can have pasture/fields/grassland for our animals, [but you have not done these things yet].”
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଗୃହର ପ୍ରଧାନମାନେ ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ଓ ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ବଂଶସମୂହର ପିତୃଗୃହର ପ୍ରଧାନମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ;
ଆଉ ସେମାନେ କିଣାନ ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ଶୀଲୋ ନିକଟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବସତି-ନଗର ଓ ପଶୁଗଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତହିଁର ତଳିଭୂମି ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଥିଲେ।”
3 So the Israeli leaders obeyed this command from Yahweh. They agreed to give towns and pasturelands to the tribe of Levi.
ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅଧିକାର ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଲେବୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ନଗରସମୂହ ଓ ତହିଁର ତଳିଭୂମି ଦେଲେ।
4 [First] they allotted some cities to the Kohath clans, who belonged to the tribe of Levi. To those who were descendants of the first Supreme Priest Aaron, they allotted 13 towns in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
ତହୁଁ କହାତୀୟ ବଂଶ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାଣ୍ଟ ଉଠିଲା, ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ହାରୋଣ ଯାଜକର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯିହୁଦା ବଂଶ ଓ ଶିମୀୟୋନ ବଂଶ ଓ ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ୍ ବଂଶରୁ ତେର ନଗର ପାଇଲେ।
5 To the other members of the Kohath clan they allotted ten cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the part of the tribe of Manasseh [that lives on the west side of the Jordan River].
ପୁଣି କହାତର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ବଂଶର ସମସ୍ତ ବଂଶରୁ ଓ ଦାନ୍ ବଂଶ ଓ ମନଃଶିର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧ ବଂଶରୁ ଦଶ ନଗର ପାଇଲେ।
6 The people from the Gershon clans were allotted 13 cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the part of the tribe of Manasseh that lives on the east side of the Jordan [River].
ପୁଣି ଗେର୍ଶୋନର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଇଷାଖର ବଂଶର ସମସ୍ତ ବଂଶରୁ ଓ ଆଶେର ବଂଶ ଓ ନପ୍ତାଲି ବଂଶ ଓ ବାଶନସ୍ଥ ମନଃଶିର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧ ବଂଶରୁ ତେର ନଗର ପାଇଲେ।
7 The people from the Merari clans were allotted twelve cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
ଆଉ ମରାରି-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ରୁବେନ୍ ବଂଶ ଓ ଗାଦ୍ ବଂଶ ଓ ସବୂଲୂନ ବଂଶରୁ ବାର ନଗର ପାଇଲେ।
8 So the Israeli leaders gave cities and pastureland to the tribe of Levi, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses that they should do.
ଏହିରୂପେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେରୂପ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ କରି ଲେବୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହିସବୁ ନଗର ଓ ତହିଁର ତଳିଭୂମି ଦେଲେ।
9 These are the names of the cities and surrounding pasturelands that were allotted to them, that were in the areas where the tribes of Judah and Simeon lived.
ଆହୁରି ସେମାନେ ଯିହୁଦା-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ବଂଶରୁ ଓ ଶିମୀୟୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ବଂଶରୁ ଏହିସବୁ ନଗର ଦେଲେ, ଏଠାରେ ସେସବୁର ନାମ ଲିଖିତ ଅଛି।
10 First, they allotted cities to the members of the Kohath clans.
ସେସବୁ ନଗର ଲେବୀ-ସନ୍ତାନ କହାତ ବଂଶୀୟ ହାରୋଣ-ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କର ହେଲା; କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଥମ ବାଣ୍ଟ ଥିଲା।
11 They allotted to them Kiriath-Arba (which is [now named] Hebron), in the hilly area of Judah. Arba received its name because Arba was the ancestor of [the giants of] the Anak people-group.
ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ପର୍ବତମୟ ଦେଶରେ କିରୀୟଥ୍-ଅର୍ବ ଓ ତହିଁ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥିତ ତଳିଭୂମି ଦେଲେ, (ଏହାକୁ ହିବ୍ରୋଣ କହନ୍ତି); ଅର୍ବ ଅନାକର ପିତା ଥିଲା।
12 But the fields and villages surrounding Arba had already been allotted to Caleb.
ମାତ୍ର ସେହି ନଗରର କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଓ ତହିଁର ଗ୍ରାମମାନ ଅଧିକାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ।
13 They allotted to them Hebron, which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected. They also allotted to the Kohath clan the cities of Libnah,
ପୁଣି ହାରୋଣ ଯାଜକଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ସେମାନେ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗରର ହିବ୍ରୋଣ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି ଓ ଲିବ୍ନା ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
14 Jattir, Eshtemoa,
ଯତ୍ତୀର ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଇଷ୍ଟିମୋୟ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
15 Holon, Debir,
ହୋଲୋନ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଦବୀର ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
16 Ain, Juttah, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether they were allotted those nine cities which were located in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Judah and Simeon.
ଐନ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଯୁଟା ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ବେଥ୍-ଶେମଶ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ସେହି ଦୁଇ ବଂଶରୁ ଏହି ନଅ ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
17 The Kohath clan was also allotted these four cities: Gibeon, Geba,
ପୁଣି ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ୍ ବଂଶରୁ ଗିବୀୟୋନ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଗେବା ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
18 Anathoth, and Almon. Those cities were in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Benjamin.
ଅନାଥୋତ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଅଲମୋନ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି; ଚାରି ନଗର।
19 Altogether those 13 towns and surrounding pastureland were allotted to the priests who were descended from Aaron.
ହାରୋଣଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କର ସର୍ବସୁଦ୍ଧା ତଳିଭୂମି ସମେତ ତେର ନଗର ହେଲା।
20 The other members the Kohath clan were allotted four cities and the surrounding pastureland in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Ephraim.
ଆଉ କହାତର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, କହାତ-ସନ୍ତାନ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ବଂଶସମୂହ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ବଂଶରୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ନଗର ବାଣ୍ଟ ପାଇଲେ।
21 Those cities were Shechem (which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected), Gezer,
ପୁଣି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ-ପର୍ବତମୟ ଦେଶାନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର ଶିଖିମ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି ଓ ଗେଷର ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
22 Kibzaim, and Beth-Horon.
କିବ୍ସୟିମ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ବେଥ୍-ହୋରଣ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଚାରି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
23 They were also allotted four cities and surrounding pastureland in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Dan. Those cities were Eltekeh, Gibbethon,
ପୁଣି ଦାନ୍ ବଂଶରୁ ଇଲତ୍କୀ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଗିବ୍ବଥୋନ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
24 Aijalon, and Gath-Rimmon.
ଅୟାଲୋନ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଗାଥ୍-ରିମ୍ମୋନ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଚାରି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
25 They were also allotted two towns and surrounding pastureland that had been allotted to [the] part of the tribe of Manasseh [that lived on the west side of the Jordan River]. Those cities were Taanach and Gath-Rimmon.
ଆଉ ମନଃଶିର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧ ବଂଶରୁ ତାନକ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଗାଥ୍-ରିମ୍ମୋନ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଦୁଇ ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
26 Those were the ten cities and surrounding pastureland that were allotted to the other members of the Kohath clan.
କହାତର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ବଂଶର ସର୍ବସୁଦ୍ଧା ତଳିଭୂମି ସମେତ ଦଶ ନଗର ହେଲା।
27 They also allotted towns and the surrounding pastureland to the Gershon clans. Those clans were also descended from Levi. They were allotted two cities from the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Manasseh [that is on the east side of the Jordan River]. Those cities were Golan in the Bashan region, which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected, and Be-Eshtarah.
ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ଲେବୀ ବଂଶୀୟ ଗେର୍ଶୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନଃଶିର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧ ବଂଶରୁ ବାଶନ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର ଗୋଲନ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଆଉ ବୀଷ୍ଟରା ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଦୁଇ ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
28 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Issachar they were allotted four cities. Those cities were Kishion, Daberath,
ପୁଣି ଇଷାଖର ବଂଶରୁ କିଶୀୟୋନ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଦାବରତ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
29 Jarmuth, and En-Gannim.
ଯର୍ମୂତ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଐନ୍-ଗନ୍ନୀମ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଚାରି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
30 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Asher they were allotted four cities. Those cities were Mishal, Abdon,
ଆଉ ଆଶେର ବଂଶରୁ ମିଶାଲ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଅବଦୋନ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
31 Helkath, and Rehob.
ହିଲକତ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ରହୋବ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଚାରି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
32 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Naphtali they were allotted three cities. Those cities were Kedesh in the Galilee region (it was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected), Hammoth-Dor, and Kartan.
ନପ୍ତାଲି ବଂଶରୁ ଗାଲିଲୀ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର କେଦଶ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ହମୋତ୍-ଦୋର ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, କର୍ତ୍ତନ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ତିନି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
33 So altogether the Gershon clans were allotted 13 cities and the surrounding pasturelands.
ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଗେର୍ଶୋନୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ସର୍ବସୁଦ୍ଧା ତଳିଭୂମି ସମେତ ତେର ନଗର ପାଇଲେ।
34 The other descendants of Levi, the ones who belonged to the Merari clans, were also allotted towns and their surrounding pasturelands. From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Zebulun they were allotted four cities. They were Jokneam, Kartah,
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେମାନେ ମରାରି-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲେବୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସବୂଲୂନ ବଂଶରୁ ଯଗ୍ନିୟାମ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, କାର୍ତ୍ତା ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
35 Dimnah, and Nahalal.
ଦିମ୍ନା ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ନହଲୋଲ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଚାରି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
36 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Reuben they were allotted four cities. They were Bezer, Jahaz,
ପୁଣି ରୁବେନ୍ ବଂଶରୁ ବେତ୍ସର ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଯହସ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
37 Kedemoth, and Mephaath.
କଦେମୋତ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ମେଫାତ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଏହି ଚାରି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
38 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Gad they were allotted four cities. They were Ramoth, which was one of the cities in the Gilead region to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected, Mahanaim,
ଆଉ ଗାଦ୍ ବଂଶରୁ ଗିଲୀୟଦ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର ରାମୋତ୍ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ମହନୟିମ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି,
39 Heshbon, and Jazer.
ହିଷ୍ବୋନ ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ଯାସେର ଓ ତହିଁ ତଳିଭୂମି, ସର୍ବସୁଦ୍ଧା ଚାରି ନଗର ଦେଲେ।
40 Altogether twelve cities were allotted to the Merari clans.
ଏରୂପେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବଂଶ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ମରାରି-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଏହିସବୁ ନଗର ହେଲା; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବାଣ୍ଟରେ ବାର ନଗର ପଡ଼ିଲା।
41 So altogether 48 cities were allotted to the tribe of Levi,
ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ଅଧିକାର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସର୍ବସୁଦ୍ଧା ତଳିଭୂମି ସହିତ ଅଠଚାଳିଶ ନଗର ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ହେଲା।
42 and each city had surrounding pastureland.
ଏହି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ନଗରର ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ତଳିଭୂମି ଥିଲା; ଏରୂପେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ନଗର ଥିଲା।
43 In that way Yahweh allotted to the Israeli people all the land that he had promised to give to their/our ancestors. The Israeli people took control of [most of] those areas and started to live there.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେ ଯେ ଦେଶ ଦେବାକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଦେଶ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ; ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ତାହା ଅଧିକାର କରି ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କଲେ।
44 Just like he had promised our ancestors, Yahweh allowed them/us to have peace with the enemies that surrounded them/us. Yahweh enabled the Israelis/us to defeat their/our enemies.
ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣ ନିକଟରେ କୃତ ଆପଣା ସମସ୍ତ ଶପଥ ଅନୁସାରେ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦେଲେ; ପୁଣି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ପାରିଲା ନାହିଁ; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ଶତ୍ରୁଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ।
45 Yahweh did all the things that he had promised to the Israeli people/us. Everything that he said would happen did happen.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶକୁ ଯେ ଯେ ମଙ୍ଗଳର କଥା କହିଥିଲେ, ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ମାତ୍ର କଥା ବିଫଳ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ; ସବୁ ସଫଳ ହେଲା।
