Joshua 21
1 While Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of all the Israeli tribes were at Shiloh, the leaders of the clans of the tribe of Levi went to them and said, “Yahweh commanded Moses that you should give us towns where we can have pasture/fields/grassland for our animals, [but you have not done these things yet].”
| ئەوە بوو گەورەی بنەماڵەکانی لێڤییەکان هاتنە لای ئەلعازاری کاهین و یەشوعی کوڕی نون و گەورەی بنەماڵەکانی هۆزەکانی دیکەی نەوەی ئیسرائیل، |
| لە شیلۆ لە خاکی کەنعان لەگەڵیاندا دوان و گوتیان: «یەزدان لە ڕێگەی موساوە فەرمانی داوە کە چەند شارۆچکەیەکمان پێبدرێت بۆ نیشتەجێبوون لەگەڵ لەوەڕگاکانیان بۆ ئاژەڵی ماڵیمان.» |
3 So the Israeli leaders obeyed this command from Yahweh. They agreed to give towns and pasturelands to the tribe of Levi.
| بەپێی فەرمانی یەزدان نەوەی ئیسرائیلیش لە میراتەکەی خۆیان ئەم شارۆچکانە و لەوەڕگایانەیان دایە لێڤییەکان: |
4 [First] they allotted some cities to the Kohath clans, who belonged to the tribe of Levi. To those who were descendants of the first Supreme Priest Aaron, they allotted 13 towns in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
| جا تیروپشک بۆ خێڵەکانی قەهاتییەکان کرا، لێڤییەکان کە لە نەوەی هارونی کاهین بوون بە تیروپشک سێزدە شارۆچکەیان بەرکەوت لە هۆزی یەهودا و هۆزی شیمۆن و هۆزی بنیامین. |
5 To the other members of the Kohath clan they allotted ten cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the part of the tribe of Manasseh [that lives on the west side of the Jordan River].
| بۆ پاشماوەی نەوەی قەهاتیش دە شارۆچکە بە تیروپشک لە خێڵەکانی هۆزی ئەفرایم و هۆزی دان و نیوەی هۆزی مەنەشەیان بەرکەوت. |
6 The people from the Gershon clans were allotted 13 cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the part of the tribe of Manasseh that lives on the east side of the Jordan [River].
| بۆ نەوەی گێرشۆنیش سێزدە شارۆچکەیان بە تیروپشک بەرکەوت، لە خێڵەکانی هۆزی یەساخار و هۆزی ئاشێر و هۆزی نەفتالی و نیوەی هۆزی مەنەشە لە باشان. |
7 The people from the Merari clans were allotted twelve cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
| بۆ نەوەی مەراریش بەگوێرەی خێڵەکانیان دوازدە شارۆچکەیان بەرکەوت، لە هۆزی ڕەئوبێن و گاد و زەبولون. |
8 So the Israeli leaders gave cities and pastureland to the tribe of Levi, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses that they should do.
| جا نەوەی ئیسرائیل بە تیروپشک ئەم شارۆچکە و لەوەڕگایانەیان بە لێڤییەکان دا، هەروەک یەزدان لە ڕێگەی موساوە فەرمانی دابوو. |
9 These are the names of the cities and surrounding pasturelands that were allotted to them, that were in the areas where the tribes of Judah and Simeon lived.
| لە هۆزی نەوەی یەهودا و هۆزی نەوەی شیمۆن ئەم شارۆچکانەیان دا کە ئەمانە ناوەکانیان بوون، |
10 First, they allotted cities to the members of the Kohath clans.
| جا ئەم شارۆچکانە بۆ نەوەی هارون دیاری کرا لە خێڵەکانی قەهاتییەکان لە نەوەی لێڤی، چونکە تیروپشکی یەکەم بۆ ئەوان بوو: |
11 They allotted to them Kiriath-Arba (which is [now named] Hebron), in the hilly area of Judah. Arba received its name because Arba was the ancestor of [the giants of] the Anak people-group.
| قیریەت ئەربەع باپیرە گەورەی عەناق کە حەبرۆنە لە ناوچە شاخاوییەکانی یەهودا لەگەڵ لەوەڕگاکانی دەوروبەری، |
12 But the fields and villages surrounding Arba had already been allotted to Caleb.
| بەڵام کێڵگەکان و گوندەکانی دەوروبەری شارەکەیان بە کالێبی کوڕی یەفونە دا وەک موڵکی خۆی. |
13 They allotted to them Hebron, which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected. They also allotted to the Kohath clan the cities of Libnah,
| ئەم شارۆچکانە بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە درانە نەوەی هارونی کاهین: حەبرۆن، کە شارێکی پەناگای تۆمەتبارکراوان بوو بە کوشتن، لەگەڵ لیڤنا، |
14 Jattir, Eshtemoa,
| یەتیر، ئەشتەمۆع، |
15 Holon, Debir,
| حۆلۆن، دەڤیر، |
16 Ain, Juttah, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether they were allotted those nine cities which were located in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Judah and Simeon.
| عەین، یوتا و بێت‌شەمەش، واتە نۆ شارۆچکە لەم دوو هۆزە. |
17 The Kohath clan was also allotted these four cities: Gibeon, Geba,
| لە هۆزی بنیامینیش گبعۆن، گەڤەع، |
18 Anathoth, and Almon. Those cities were in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Benjamin.
| عەناتۆت و عەلمۆن بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
19 Altogether those 13 towns and surrounding pastureland were allotted to the priests who were descended from Aaron.
| هەموو شارۆچکەکانی نەوەی هارون کە کاهینەکانن، سێزدە شارۆچکە بوون بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە. |
20 The other members the Kohath clan were allotted four cities and the surrounding pastureland in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Ephraim.
| پاشماوەی خێڵەکانی قەهات لە لێڤییەکان، بە تیروپشک ئەم شارۆچکانەیان لە هۆزی ئەفرایم بەرکەوت: |
21 Those cities were Shechem (which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected), Gezer,
| لە ناوچە شاخاوییەکانی ئەفرایم شارۆچکەی شەخەمیان پێدرا، کە شارێکی پەناگای تۆمەتبارکراوان بوو بە کوشتن، لەگەڵ گەزەر، |
22 Kibzaim, and Beth-Horon.
| قیڤچەیم و بێت‌حۆرۆن بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
23 They were also allotted four cities and surrounding pastureland in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Dan. Those cities were Eltekeh, Gibbethon,
| لە هۆزی دانیش ئەمانەیان وەرگرت: ئەلتەقێ و گیبەتۆن و |
24 Aijalon, and Gath-Rimmon.
| ئەیالۆن و گەت ڕیمۆن بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
25 They were also allotted two towns and surrounding pastureland that had been allotted to [the] part of the tribe of Manasseh [that lived on the west side of the Jordan River]. Those cities were Taanach and Gath-Rimmon.
| لە نیوەی هۆزی مەنەشەش ئەمانەیان وەرگرت: تەعنەک و گەت ڕیمۆن بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە دوو شارۆچکە. |
26 Those were the ten cities and surrounding pastureland that were allotted to the other members of the Kohath clan.
| هەموو شارۆچکەکان دە بوون بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە بۆ پاشماوەی خێڵەکانی نەوەی قەهات بوو. |
27 They also allotted towns and the surrounding pastureland to the Gershon clans. Those clans were also descended from Levi. They were allotted two cities from the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Manasseh [that is on the east side of the Jordan River]. Those cities were Golan in the Bashan region, which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected, and Be-Eshtarah.
| بۆ نەوەی گێرشۆنیش لە خێڵەکانی لێڤییەکان: لە نیوەی هۆزی مەنەشەوە: گۆلان و لەوەڕگاکانی پێدرا لە باشان، کە شارێکی پەناگای تۆمەتبارکراوان بوو بە کوشتن، لەگەڵ بەعەشتەرا و لەوەڕگاکانی، واتە دوو شارۆچکە. |
28 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Issachar they were allotted four cities. Those cities were Kishion, Daberath,
| لە هۆزی نەوەی یەساخاریش ئەمانەیان وەرگرت: قیشیۆن و داڤەرەت و |
29 Jarmuth, and En-Gannim.
| یەرموت و کانی گەنیم، بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
30 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Asher they were allotted four cities. Those cities were Mishal, Abdon,
| لە هۆزی نەوەی ئاشێریش ئەمانەیان وەرگرت: میشال و عەبدۆن و |
31 Helkath, and Rehob.
| حەلقەت و ڕەحۆڤ، بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
32 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Naphtali they were allotted three cities. Those cities were Kedesh in the Galilee region (it was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected), Hammoth-Dor, and Kartan.
| لە هۆزی نەفتالیش ئەمانەیان وەرگرت: قەدەش لە جەلیل، کە شارێکی پەناگای تۆمەتبارکراوان بوو بە کوشتن، لەگەڵ حەمۆت دۆر و قەرتان بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە سێ شارۆچکە. |
33 So altogether the Gershon clans were allotted 13 cities and the surrounding pasturelands.
| هەموو شارۆچکەکانی گێرشۆنییەکان بەگوێرەی خێڵەکانیان، سێزدە شارۆچکە بوون بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە. |
34 The other descendants of Levi, the ones who belonged to the Merari clans, were also allotted towns and their surrounding pasturelands. From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Zebulun they were allotted four cities. They were Jokneam, Kartah,
| بۆ خێڵەکانی نەوەی مەراریش کە پاشماوەی لێڤییەکانن: لە هۆزی زەبولون ئەمانەیان پێدان: یۆقنەعام و قەرتا و |
35 Dimnah, and Nahalal.
| دیمنا و نەهەلال، بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
36 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Reuben they were allotted four cities. They were Bezer, Jahaz,
| لە هۆزی ڕەئوبێنیش ئەمانەیان پێدان: بەچەر و یەهەچ و |
37 Kedemoth, and Mephaath.
| قەدێمۆت و مێفەعەت بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
38 From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Gad they were allotted four cities. They were Ramoth, which was one of the cities in the Gilead region to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected, Mahanaim,
| لە هۆزی گادیش ئەمانەیان وەرگرت: ڕامۆت لە گلعاد، کە شارێکی پەناگای تۆمەتبارکراوان بوو بە کوشتن، لەگەڵ مەحەنەیم و |
39 Heshbon, and Jazer.
| حەشبۆن و یەعزێر، بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە، واتە چوار شارۆچکە. |
40 Altogether twelve cities were allotted to the Merari clans.
| جا هەموو ئەو شارۆچکانەی بۆ نەوەی مەراری بوون بەگوێرەی خێڵەکانیان، ئەوانەی لە خێڵەکانی لێڤییەکان مابوونەوە، تیروپشکەکەشیان دوازدە شارۆچکە بوو. |
41 So altogether 48 cities were allotted to the tribe of Levi,
| هەموو شارۆچکەکانی لێڤییەکان لەناو ئەو موڵکەی نەوەی ئیسرائیل خاوەنی بوون، چل و هەشت شارۆچکە بوون بە لەوەڕگاکانیانەوە. |
42 and each city had surrounding pastureland.
| ئەم شارۆچکانەش شار بە شار بوون و لەوەڕگاکانیشیان بە چواردەوریاندا بوو، هەموو ئەم شارۆچکانە وابوون. |
43 In that way Yahweh allotted to the Israeli people all the land that he had promised to give to their/our ancestors. The Israeli people took control of [most of] those areas and started to live there.
| جا یەزدان هەموو ئەو زەوییەی دایە نەوەی ئیسرائیل کە سوێندی خواردبوو بیداتە باوباپیرانیان، ئەوانیش دەستیان بەسەردا گرت و تێیدا نیشتەجێ بوون. |
44 Just like he had promised our ancestors, Yahweh allowed them/us to have peace with the enemies that surrounded them/us. Yahweh enabled the Israelis/us to defeat their/our enemies.
| هەروەها یەزدان لە دەوروبەرەکەیان ئاسوودەی کردن بەپێی ئەو سوێندەی بۆ باوباپیرانی ئەوانی خوارد، تەنها پیاوێکیش لە هەموو دوژمنەکانیان بەرامبەریان نەوەستا، بەڵکو یەزدان هەموو دوژمنەکانی ئەوانی دایە دەستیان. |
45 Yahweh did all the things that he had promised to the Israeli people/us. Everything that he said would happen did happen.
| هیچ بەڵێنێک لە هەموو ئەو بەڵێنە چاکانەی یەزدان بە بنەماڵەی ئیسرائیلی فەرمووبوو نەشکاوە، بەڵکو هەمووی هاتە دی. |
