Joshua 19

1 The second/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Simeon. Each clan in that tribe was allotted some land that was inside the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Judah.

௧இரண்டாம் சீட்டு சிமியோனுக்கு விழுந்தது; சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்திற்கு அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த பங்கு, யூதா கோத்திரத்தார்களுடைய பங்குகளின் நடுவே இருக்கிறது.

2 Their land included the towns of Beersheba ([which is also named] Sheba), Moladah,

௨அவர்களுக்குச் சொந்தமாகக் கிடைத்த பட்டணங்களாவன: பெயெர்செபா, சேபா, மொலாதா,

3 Hazar-Shual, Balah, Ezem,

௩ஆசார்சூவால், பாலா, ஏத்சேம்,

4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,

௪எல்தோலாத், பெத்தூல், ஓர்மா,

5 Ziklag, Beth-Marcaboth. Hazar-Susah,

௫சிக்லாக், பெத்மார்காபோத், ஆத்சார்சூசா,

6 Beth-Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. Altogether there were 13 towns and the surrounding villages.

௬பெத்லெபாவோத், சருகேன் பட்டணங்களும் அவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் உட்பட பதிமூன்று.

7 The land allotted to them also included the four cities of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, and their surrounding villages.

௭மேலும் ஆயீன், ரிம்மோன். ஏத்தேர், ஆசான் என்னும் நான்கு பட்டணங்களும் அவைகளின் கிராமங்களுமே.

8 They were also allotted some very small villages in an area that extended south to Baalath-Beer (which is [also named] Ramah, in the southern desert). That was the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Simeon.

௮இந்தப் பட்டணங்களைச் சுற்றிலும் பாலாத்பெயேர்மட்டும், தெற்கே இருக்கிற ராமாத்வரை இருக்கிற எல்லாக் கிராமங்களுமே; இவை சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்திற்கு அவர்கள் வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த பங்கு.

9 The tribe of Judah had been allotted much more land than they needed, so part of their land was given to the tribe of Simeon.

௯சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தார்களுடைய பங்கு யூதா கோத்திரத்தார்களின் பங்குவீதத்திற்குள் இருக்கிறது; யூதா கோத்திரத்தார்களின் பங்கு அவர்களுக்கு மிகுதியாக இருந்தபடியால், சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தார் அவர்களுடைய பங்குகளின் நடுவிலே பங்குகளைப் பெற்றார்கள்.

10 The third/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Zebulun. Each clan of that tribe was allotted some of the land. The southern border started at Sarid [city].

௧0மூன்றாம் சீட்டு செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு விழுந்தது; அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த சொந்தமான பங்குவீதம் சாரீத் வரை உள்ளது.

11 It extended west to Maralah [city] and on to Dabbesheth [city], and on to the brook just north of Jokneam [city].

௧௧அவர்களுடைய எல்லை மேற்கே மாராலாவுக்கு ஏறி, தாபசேத்திற்கு வந்து, யொக்னியாமுக்கு எதிரான ஆற்றுக்குப் போகும்.

12 The border extended east from Sarid to the area near Kisloth-Tabor [city] and on to Daberath [town] and on to Japhia [town].

௧௨சாரீதிலிருந்து அது கிழக்கே சூரியன் உதிக்கும் முனையாய்க் கிஸ்லோத்தாபோரின் எல்லையினிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பி, தாபராத்திற்குச் சென்று, யப்பியாவுக்கு ஏறி,

13 From there it extended east to Gath-Hepher [city] and Eth-Kazin [town], and north to Rimmon [city]. From there the border extended [west] to Neah [town].

௧௩அங்கேயிருந்து கிழக்குப்புறத்திலே காத்தேப்பேரையும் இத்தாகாத்சீனையும் கடந்து, ரிம்மோன்மெத்தோவாருக்கும் நேயாவுக்கும் போகும்.

14 From Neah it extended south to Hannathon [city] and from there to Iphtah-El Valley.

௧௪அப்புறம் அந்த எல்லை வடக்கே அன்னத்தோனுக்குத் திரும்பி, இப்தாவேலின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே முடியும்.

15 Their area included the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. Altogether there were twelve towns and the surrounding villages.

௧௫காத்தாத், நகலால், சிம்ரோன், இதாலா, பெத்லகேம் முதலான பன்னிரண்டு பட்டணங்களும் அவைகளின் கிராமங்களும்,

16 That was the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Zebulun.

௧௬செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு, அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி, கிடைத்த பங்குகள் ஆகும்.

17 The fourth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Issachar. Each of the clans of that tribe was allotted some of the land.

௧௭நாலாம் சீட்டு இசக்காருக்கு விழுந்தது.

18 Their land included the cities of Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,

௧௮இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு அவர்கள் வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த எல்லை, யெஸ்ரயேல், கெசுல்லோத், சூனேம்,

19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,

௧௯அப்பிராயீம், சீகோன் அனாகராத்,

20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,

௨0ராப்பித், கிஷியோன், அபெத்ஸ்,

21 Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah, and Beth-Pazzez.

௨௧ரெமேத், என்கன்னீம், என்காதா, பெத்பாத்செஸ் இவைகளே.

22 The border of the area that was allotted to the tribe of Issachar was close to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-Shemesh [cities], and ended [in the east] at the Jordan [River]. Altogether there were 16 cities and the surrounding villages.

௨௨அப்புறம் அந்த எல்லை தாபோருக்கும், சகசீமாவுக்கும், பெத்ஷிமேசுக்கும் வந்து யோர்தானிலே முடியும்; அதற்குள் பதினாறு பட்டணங்களும் அவைகளுடைய கிராமங்களும் உண்டு.

23 Those cities and villages were in the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Issachar.

௨௩இந்தப் பட்டணங்களும் இவைகளைச்சேர்ந்த கிராமங்களும் இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்திற்கு, அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த பங்கு ஆகும்.

24 The fifth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Asher. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.

௨௪ஐந்தாம் சீட்டு ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு விழுந்தது.

25 Their land included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,

௨௫அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த எல்லை, எல்காத், ஆலி, பேதேன், அக்சாப்,

26 Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. The western border started at Carmel [Mountain] and Shihor-Libnath.

௨௬அலம்மேலெக், ஆமாத், மிஷயால் இவைகளே; பின்பு அது மேற்கே கர்மேலுக்கும் சீகோர்லிப்னாத்திற்கும் சென்று,

27 From there it extended [southeast] to Beth-Dagon [town], and then to [the area that was allotted to the tribe of] Zebulun and Iphtah-El Valley. From there the border extended east and then north to Beth-Emek [town] and Neiel and Cabul [towns].

௨௭கிழக்கே பெத்தாகோனுக்குத் திரும்பி, செபுலோனுக்கு வடக்கே இருக்கிற இப்தாவேலின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிற்கும் பெத்தேமேக்கிற்கும் நேகியெலிற்கும் வந்து, இடதுபுறமான காபூலிற்கும்,

28 From there it extended west to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah [cities], and continued to Sidon, which is a big city.

௨௮எபிரோனிற்கும், ரேகோபிற்கும், அம்மோனிற்கும், கானாவிற்கும், பெரிய சீதோன்வரைக்கும் போகும்.

29 From there the border extended south toward Ramah and to the big city of Tyre that had strong walls around it. From there the border extended [west] to Hosah [town] and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. Within their area were the towns of Aczib,

௨௯அப்புறம் அந்த எல்லை ராமாவிற்கும் தீரு என்னும் பாதுகாப்பான பட்டணம்வரைத் திரும்பும்; பின்பு அந்த எல்லை ஓசாவிற்குத் திரும்பி, அக்சீபின் எல்லை ஓரத்தில் உள்ள மத்திய தரைக் கடலிலே முடியும்.

30 Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. Altogether there were 22 towns and their surrounding villages.

௩0உம்மாவும், ஆப்பெக்கும், ரேகோபும் அதற்கு அடுத்திருக்கிறது; இந்தப் பட்டணங்களும் இவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் இருபத்திரண்டு.

31 Those cities and villages were within the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Asher.

௩௧இந்தப் பட்டணங்களும் இவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்திற்கு, அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த பங்குகள் ஆகும்.

32 The sixth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Naphtali. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.

௩௨ஆறாம் சீட்டு நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு விழுந்தது.

33 The border of their land started [in the west] at the [huge] oak tree at Zaanannim, near Heleph [town]. It extended [east] through Adami-Nekeb [city] and Jabneel, and then to Lakkum, and ended at the Jordan [River].

௩௩நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த எல்லை, ஏலேப்பிலும், சானானிமிலுள்ள அல்லோனிலுமிருந்து வந்து, ஆதமி, நெக்கேபின் மேலும் யாப்னியேலின்மேலும், லக்கூம்வரைக்கும் போய், யோர்தானில் முடியும்.

34 The western boundary extended through Aznoth-Tabor as far as Hukkok [city]. It extended to the borders of [the tribe of] Zebulun at the south, to [the border of the tribe of] Asher on the west, and the Jordan [River] at the east.

௩௪அப்புறம் அந்த எல்லை மேற்கே அஸ்னோத்தாபோருக்குத் திரும்பி, அங்கேயிருந்து உக்கோகக்கிற்குச் சென்று, தெற்கே செபுலோனையும், மேற்கே ஆசேரையும் சூரியோதயப்புறத்திலே யோர்தானிலே யூதாவையும் சேர்ந்து வரும்.

35 [Within their land were] several cities with strong walls around them. They were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,

௩௫பாதுகாப்பான பட்டணங்களாவன: சீத்திம், சேர், அம்மாத், ரக்காத், கின்னரேத்,

36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,

௩௬ஆதமா, ராமா, ஆத்சோர்,

37 Kedesh, Edrei, En-Hazor,

௩௭கேதேஸ், எத்ரேயி, என்ஆத்சோர்,

38 Iron, Migdal-El, Horem, Beth-Anath, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether there were 19 cities and the surrounding villages.

௩௮ஈரோன், மிக்தாலேல், ஓரேம், பெத்தானாத் பெத்ஷிமேஸ் முதலானவைகளே; பட்டணங்களும் அவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் உட்பட பத்தொன்பது.

39 Those cities and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Naphtali.

௩௯இந்தப் பட்டணங்களும் இவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு, அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி உண்டான பங்குகள் ஆகும்.

40 The seventh/last tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Dan. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.

௪0ஏழாம் சீட்டு தாண் கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு விழுந்தது.

41 Their land included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-Shemesh,

௪௧அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி கிடைத்த பங்கின் எல்லையாவது, சோரா, எஸ்தாவோல், இர்சேமேஸ்,

42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,

௪௨சாலாபீன், ஆயலோன், யெத்லா,

43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron,

௪௩ஏலோன், திம்னாதா, எக்ரோன்,

44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,

௪௪எல்தெக்கே, கிபெத்தோன், பாலாத்,

45 Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gath-Rimmon,

௪௫யேகூத், பெனபெராக், காத்ரிம்மோன்,

46 Me-Jarkon, Rakkon, and the area near Joppa.

௪௬மேயார்கோன், ராக்கோன் என்னும் பட்டணங்களும், யோப்பாவுக்கு எதிரான எல்லையுமே.

47 But the people of the tribe of Dan were unable to take control of the land that had been allotted to them. So they went [northeast] and fought against the people in Leshem [city]. They defeated and killed all the people who lived there. Then they began to live in Leshem, and changed the name of the city to Dan, the man from whom their tribe descended.

௪௭தாண் கோத்திரத்தார்களின் எல்லை அவர்களுக்கு ஒடுக்கமாக இருந்தபடியால், அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், லேசேமின்மேல் யுத்தம்செய்து, அதைப் பிடித்து, பட்டயத்தினால் அழித்து, அதைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டு, அதிலே குடியிருந்து, லேசேமுக்குத் தங்களுடைய முற்பிதாவாகிய தாணுடைய பெயரின்படியே தாண் என்று பேரிட்டார்கள்.

48 All of those towns and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans in the tribe of Dan.

௪௮இந்தப் பட்டணங்களும் இவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் தாண் கோத்திரத்தார்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி உண்டான பங்குகள் ஆகும்.

49 After the Israeli leaders divided the land among the tribes, they allotted some land to Joshua.

௪௯தேசத்தை அதின் எல்லைகளின்படி சொந்தமாகப் பங்கிட்டு முடித்தபோது, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவிற்குத் தங்கள் நடுவிலே ஒரு பங்கைக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

50 They allotted to him Timnath-Serah. Yahweh had said that he could have whatever city he wanted, and that was the city that he chose. It was in the hilly region which was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua rebuilt the city and lived there.

௫0எப்பிராயீமின் மலைத்தேசத்தில் இருக்கிற திம்னாத் சேரா என்னும் அவன் கேட்ட பட்டணத்தை அவனுக்குக் யெகோவாவுடைய கட்டளையின்படியே கொடுத்தார்கள்; அந்தப் பட்டணத்தை அவன் கட்டி, அதிலே குடியிருந்தான்.

51 Those were the areas that were allotted to the various tribes of Israel. Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of each tribe divided up the land while they were all at Shiloh, by (casting lots/throwing marked stones) [to decide which area each tribe would receive]. They did that while Yahweh was watching, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent. In that way they completed dividing up the land.

௫௧ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும், நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவும், கோத்திரப் பிதாக்களுடைய தலைவரும் சீலோவிலே ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தின் வாசலிலே யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் கோத்திரங்களுக்குச் சீட்டுப்போட்டுக் கொடுத்த பங்குகள் இவைகளே; இவ்விதமாக அவர்கள் தேசத்தைப் பங்கிட்டு முடித்தார்கள்.
