John 5
1 Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem when the Jews were having [another] celebration.
Pēc tam bija Jūdu svētki, un Jēzus gāja uz Jeruzālemi.
2 At one of the gates [into the city] called the Sheep Gate, there is a pool. In our language we call it Bethzatha. [Around the pool] were five open areas with roofs over them.
Bet Jeruzālemē pie avju vārtiem ir dīķis, ar vārdu ebrejiski Betezda, tur bija piecas istabas.
3 Many people were lying there. They were people who were blind, lame, or paralyzed.
Tanīs gulēja liels pulks neveselu, aklu, tizlu, nokaltušu, (kas gaidīja uz ūdens kustēšanu.
Jo savā laikā viens eņģelis nolaidās tai dīķī un to ūdeni pakustināja. Kurš tad iekāpa pirmais pēc ūdens kustināšanas, tas tapa vesels, lai gulēja kādā sērgā gulēdams.)
5 One of those who was there had been paralyzed for 38 years.
Un tur viens cilvēks trīsdesmit un astoņus gadus bija gulējis nevesels.
6 Jesus saw him lying there and found out that the man had been like that for a long time. He said to the man, “Do you want to become well?”
Šo Jēzus redzēja guļam, un zinādams, ka tas ilgu laiku tur bija gulējis, Viņš uz to saka: “Vai gribi tapt vesels?”
7 The paralyzed man replied to him, “[Yes], sir, [I want to get well, but] there is no one to help me get down into the pool when the water is stirred {stirs}. While I am trying to get [to the pool], someone else always gets there before me.”
Tas neveselais Tam atbildēja: “Kungs, man nav cilvēka, kas mani iemet tai dīķī, kad tas ūdens top kustināts; un tiekams es nāku, cits jau nokāpj manā priekšā.”
8 Jesus said to him, “Get up! Then pick up your mat and walk!”
Jēzus uz to saka: “Celies, ņem savu gultu un ej.”
9 The man immediately was healed. He picked up his mat and started walking! The day on which this happened was a Jewish day of rest.
Un tūdaļ tas cilvēks tapa vesels un ņēma savu gultu un aizgāja. Bet tā diena bija svētdiena.
10 So the Jewish [leaders] said to the man who had been healed, “Today is (the Sabbath/our rest day), and [in our Jewish] laws [it is written that people should not work on our] ([Sabbath/rest day]), so you should not be carrying your mat!”
Tad tie Jūdi sacīja uz to, kas bija dziedināts: “Svētdiena ir, tev nav brīv savu gultu nest.”
11 The man replied to them, “The man who healed me, he himself said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk!’”
Viņš tiem atbildēja: “Kas mani darīja veselu, Tas uz mani sacīja: ņem savu gultu un ej.”
12 They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick it up and walk!’?”
Tad tie viņam vaicāja: “Kas ir Tas tāds cilvēks, kas tev sacījis: ņem savu gultu un ej?”
13 But since Jesus had disappeared in the crowd [without telling the man his name], the man did not know who it was [who had healed him].
Bet tas, kas bija vesels palicis, nezināja, kas Tas tāds esot; jo Jēzus bija atkāpies tai ļaužu pulkā, kas tai vietā bija.
14 Later, Jesus found the man in the Temple [courtyard]. He [told the man his name, and] said to him, “Listen! You are healed! So stop sinning! If you do not stop sinning, something will happen to you that will be worse [than the illness you had before]!”
Pēc tam Jēzus to atrod Dieva namā un uz to saka: “Raugi, tu esi tapis vesels, neapgrēkojies vairs, ka tev nenotiek jo grūti.”
15 The man went away and told the Jewish [leaders] [SYN] that it was Jesus who had healed him.
Tas cilvēks nogāja un tiem Jūdiem pasludināja, ka Jēzus Tas esot, kas viņu darījis veselu.
16 So the Jewish [leaders] [SYN] started to harass Jesus, because Jesus was doing these things (on the Sabbath/on the Jewish rest day).
Un tāpēc tie Jūdi Jēzu ienīdēja un Viņu meklēja nokaut, ka Viņš to bija darījis svētdienā.
17 Then Jesus replied to them, “My Father has always been working every day, [including] ([the Sabbath/the day of rest]), up until now. I am doing the same thing!”
Bet Jēzus tiem atbildēja: “Mans Tēvs strādā līdz šim, un Es arīdzan strādāju.”
18 The Jewish leaders [SYN] considered that he was disobeying their rules about (the Sabbath/the day of rest), and that by saying that God was his Father, he was making himself equal with God. And they considered that both these things were grounds for killing him. So they tried even harder to find a way to kill him.
Tādēļ tie Jūdi jo vairāk Viņu meklēja nokaut, ka Viņš ne vien svētdienu nesvētīja, bet arī sacīja, ka Dievs esot Viņa paša Tēvs, Sevi līdzinādams Dievam.
19 Jesus replied to them by saying, “You need to know this: I can do nothing by my own [authority]. I do only the [kind of] things that I see [my] Father doing. Whatever kinds of things my Father is doing, those are the things I am doing.
Tad Jēzus atbildēja un uz tiem sacīja: “Patiesi, patiesi, Es jums saku: Tas Dēls neko nevar darīt no Sevis paša, ja Tas neredz To Tēvu tā darām, jo, ko Šis dara, to arī Tas Dēls dara tāpat.
20 [My] Father loves me, and he shows me everything that he is doing. He will show me [the miracles] that [he wants me to do] that will be greater than the ones that [you have already seen me do], so that you may be amazed.
Jo Tas Tēvs mīļo To Dēlu, un Tam rāda visu, ko pats dara un Tam rādīs lielākas lietas nekā šās, ka jums jābrīnās.
21 [For example], just like [my] Father causes people who have died to become alive again, I will give [eternal] life to everyone that I want to.
Jo itin kā Tas Tēvs miroņus uzmodina un dara dzīvus, tāpat arī Tas Dēls dara dzīvus, kurus gribēdams.
22 Furthermore, [my] Father is not the one who judges people [concerning their sins]. Instead, he has given to me the work of judging people,
Jo Tas Tēvs nevienu netiesā, bet visu tiesu ir devis Tam Dēlam,
23 in order that all people may honor me, just like they honor [my] Father. [My] Father [considers that] anyone who does not honor me is not honoring [him], the one who sent me.
Ka visiem būs To Dēlu godāt, itin kā tie To Tēvu godā; kas To Dēlu negodā, tas negodā To Tēvu, kas Viņu sūtījis.
24 Listen to this carefully: Those who hear my message and believe that [God] is the one who sent me have eternal life. [God will] not (condemn them/say that he will punish them). They are no longer separated from God. Instead, they have [eternal] life. (aiōnios g166)
Patiesi, patiesi, Es jums saku: kas Manu vārdu dzird un Tam tic, kas Mani sūtījis, tam ir mūžīga dzīvība, un tas nenāk sodībā, bet no nāves ir iegājis dzīvībā. (aiōnios g166)
25 Listen to this carefully: There will be a time when those who are (spiritually dead/separated from God) will hear the voice of me, (the Son of God/the man who is also God). In fact, it is that time already. Those who hear [and pay attention to my message] will have [eternal] life.
Patiesi, patiesi, Es jums saku: tā stunda nāk un jau tagad ir, ka tie mirušie dzirdēs Dieva Dēla balsi, un kas to dzird, tie dzīvos.
26 [My] Father has [power to] make things live. Similarly, he has given me the [power to enable] people to live [eternally].
Jo itin kā Tam Tēvam ir dzīvība iekš Sevis paša, tāpat Viņš arī Tam Dēlam ir devis, ka Tam dzīvība ir iekš Sevis paša.
27 Because I am the one who came from heaven, he has given me the authority to judge people [concerning their sins].
Un Viņš Tam varu devis, arī tiesu turēt, tādēļ ka Tas ir Tas Cilvēka Dēls.
28 Do not be surprised about that, because there will be a time when all people who have died will hear my voice,
Nebrīnāties par to, jo tā stunda nāk, kurā visi, kas ir kapos, Viņa balsi dzirdēs
29 and they will become alive again. Those who have lived good [lives] will rise [from their graves] and live forever. But those who have lived evil lives will rise, and I will (condemn them/declare that I will punish them [for their sins]).
Un izies ārā, tie, kas labu darījuši, pie augšāmcelšanās uz dzīvību, bet kas ļaunu darījuši, pie augšāmcelšanās uz sodību.
30 I do not do anything [like that] by my own authority. I judge people only according to what I hear [my Father tell me]. I will judge people fairly, because I do not want to please only myself. Instead, I want to please [my Father], who sent me.
Es neko nevaru darīt no Sevis paša; tā kā Es dzirdu, tā Es tiesāju, un Mana tiesa ir taisna; jo Es nemeklēju Savu prātu, bet Tā Tēva prātu, kas Mani sūtījis.
31 If I were the [only] one to tell people about myself, [people could rightly say that] what I say is not true.
Ja Es pats liecību dodu par Sevi, tad Mana liecība nav patiesīga.
32 But there is someone else who tells people about me. And I know that what he tells people about me is true.
Cits ir, kas liecību dod par Mani, un Es zinu, to liecību esam patiesīgu, ko Viņš apliecina par Mani.
33 As for you, when you sent messengers to John [the Baptizer to ask about me], he told the truth [about me].
Jūs esat sūtījuši pie Jāņa, un tas patiesībai liecību devis.
34 I do not [need that] people tell others [about me]. But instead, I am reminding [you about what John told people about me], in order that you will [believe it and] be saved {[God] will save you}.
Tomēr Es liecību neņemu no cilvēka, bet Es to saku, lai jūs topat pestīti.
35 [John’s message about me] (OR, [John]) [MET] was [like] a lamp that shines brightly. For a short while you were willing to be made happy [by that message] {to let [that message] make you happy}.
Viņš bija degoša un spīdoša svece, bet jūs mazu brīdi gribējāt līksmoties viņa gaišumā.
36 But there is something else that tells you about me. [It should prove who I am] more than what John [said about me]. The miracles [PRS] that [my] Father told me to do, the miracles that I am performing, show (OR, prove) to people that my Father sent me.
Bet Man ir lielāka liecība nekā no Jāņa. Jo tie darbi, ko Tas Tēvs Man devis darīt, šie darbi, ko Es daru, liecību dod par Mani, ka Tas Tēvs Mani sūtījis.
37 Furthermore, [my] Father, who sent me, tells people about me. You have never heard his voice or seen him.
Un Tas Tēvs, kas Mani sūtījis, pats liecību devis par Mani; jūs Viņa balsi nekad neesat dzirdējuši, nedz Viņa ģīmi redzējuši.
38 Furthermore, you have not believed in [me], the one he sent. So you have not [believed] his message in your inner beings.
Un Viņa vārds nav paliekams pie jums, jo jūs Tam neticat, ko Viņš sūtījis.
39 You carefully study (OR, Study) the Scriptures, because you think that by [studying] them you will [find the way to] have eternal life. And those Scriptures tell people about me! (aiōnios g166)
Meklējat rakstos, jo jums šķiet, ka tur iekšā jums ir mūžīga dzīvība, un tie ir, kas liecību dod par Mani. (aiōnios g166)
40 But you refuse (to come to me/to believe my message) in order that you may have [eternal] life.
Bet jūs negribat nākt pie Manis, lai jums būtu dzīvība.
41 It does not [matter to] me whether people praise me.
Godu no cilvēkiem Es neņemu.
42 But you [want people to praise you]. I know that within yourselves you do not love God.
Bet Es jūs pazīstu, ka Dieva mīlestība nav iekš jums.
43 Although I have come to earth with my Father’s authority [MTY], you do not accept me. But if someone else comes with his own authority [MTY], you accept him!
Es esmu nācis Sava Tēva vārdā, un jūs Mani neuzņemat; kad cits nāks sava paša vārdā, to jūs uzņemsiet.
44 You accept your praising each other, but you do not try to do things that will result in God himself praising you. So (there is no way you can believe [in me]!/how can you believe [my message]?) [RHQ]
Kā jūs varat ticēt, cits no cita godu ņemdami? Un to godu, kas ir no tā vienīgā Dieva, to jūs nemeklējat?
45 But do not think that I am the one who will accuse you while [my] Father is listening! No, it is Moses who will accuse you! You thought that he would [defend you].
Nedomājiet, ka Es jūs apsūdzēšu pie Tā Tēva; tur ir viens, kas jūs apsūdz, Mozus, uz ko jūs esat cerējuši.
46 Moses wrote about me, so if you had believed what he [wrote], you would have believed what I [said]
Jo ja jūs Mozum ticētu, tad jūs Man arīdzan ticētu; jo viņš ir rakstījis par Mani.
47 But because you did not believe what he wrote [about me], (you will certainly not believe what I say!/how will you believe what I say?) [RHQ]”
Bet ja jūs viņa rakstiem neticat, kā tad jūs Maniem vārdiem ticēsiet?”
