John 14
1 [Jesus continued by saying to us], “Stop being anxious/worried. Keep on trusting in God (OR, You are trusting in God); also keep trusting in me.
“तिमीहरूको हृदय विचलित नहोस् । तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरमा विश्वास गर्छौ, ममा पनि विश्वास गर ।
2 Where my Father is [in heaven] there is plenty of room! If that were not true, I would have told you. I am about to go [there] to prepare a place for you.
मेरा पिताको घरमा बस्ने धेरै कोठाहरू छन् । यदि त्यसो नहुँदो हो त, मैले तिमीहरूलाई भन्ने थिएँ त, किनकि म तिमीहरूका लागि ठाउँ तयार पार्न गइरहेको छु ।
3 And because I will go [there] and prepare a place for you, I will return and take you there to be with me. I will do that so that you may also be where I am.
म जान्छु, र तिमीहरूका लागि ठाउँ तयार पार्छु भने, म फेरि आउनेछु र म आफैँसँग लानेछु, ताकि जहाँ म हुन्छु तिमीहरू पनि त्यहाँ हुनेछौ ।
4 You know the road to the place where I am going.”
तिमीहरूले म जहाँ गइरहेको त्यो बाटो चिन्छौ ।”
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. [So] how can we know the road?”
थोमाले येशूलाई भने, “प्रभु, तपाईं कहाँ जाँदै हुनुहुन्छ, हामी जान्दैनौँ; हामीले बाटो कसरी चिन्ने?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the road [MET] [to where my Father is]. I am the [one who reveals] [MET] the truth [about God] and the [one who gives eternal] life [to people]. I am the only one who can [enable people] to come to [my] Father. There is no other way.
येशूले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “बाटो, सत्य र जीवन मै नै हुँ; मद्वारा बाहेक कोही पनि पिताकहाँ आउन सक्दैन ।
7 If you [really] knew who I was, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and [it is as though] you have seen him.”
यदि तिमीहरूले मलाई चिनेका भए, तिमीहरूले मेरा पितालाई पनि चिन्ने थियौ । अबदेखि उसो तिमीहरूले उहाँलाई चिनेका छौ र उहाँलाई देखेका छौ ।”
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us your Father and that will be enough for us!”
फिलिपले येशूलाई भने, “प्रभु, हामीलाई पिता देखाउनुहोस्, त्यो नै हामीलाई पर्याप्त हुनेछ ।”
9 Jesus said to him, “Philip, I have been with you for a long time. So (surely you should know who I [really am]!/why have you not come to know who I [really am]?) [RHQ] Those who have seen me, [it is as though] they have seen [my] Father. So (why do you say ‘Show us [your] Father’?/you should not say ‘Show us [your] Father’!) [RHQ]
येशूले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “म तिमीहरूसँग यति लामो समयसम्म रहेको छु, र पनि फिलिप, अझै तिमी मलाई चिन्दैनौ? जसले मलाई देखेको छ त्यसले पितालाई देखेको छ । तिमीहरू कसरी ‘हामीलाई पिता देखाउनुहोस्’ भन्न सक्छौ?”
10 Do you not [RHQ] believe that I have a close relationship with [my] Father, and that [my] Father has a close relationship with me? The messages that I tell you do not come from me. They come from my Father, who has a close relationship with me. He is enabling me to [teach these things, and] to perform the miracles that he [wants me to perform].
म पितामा छु र पिता ममा हुनुहुन्छ भनी के तिमीहरू विश्वास गर्दैनौ? मैले तिमीहरूलाई बोलेका वचनहरू, म आफ्नै अधिकारले बोल्दिनँ । योचाहिँ ममा रहनुहुने पिता नै हुनुहुछ जसले आफ्नो काम गरिरहनुभएको छ ।
11 Believe that I have a close relationship with [my] Father and that [my] Father has a close relationship with me. If you do not believe that just because of what I say, believe it because of the miracles themselves [that I have done].
म पितामा छु, र पिता ममा हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने विश्वास गर; नत्र कामहरूकै खातिर पनि विश्वास गर ।
12 Listen to this carefully: [You] who trust in me will do the [kinds of] miracles [that I have done]. [Because of what I will do for you] (OR, [Because I will send God’s Spirit to you]) after I go to my Father, you will be able to do [miracles] that will be greater than [the ones I have done].
साँचो, साँचो, म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, जसले ममाथि विश्वास गर्छ त्यसले मैले गर्ने कामहरू पनि गर्नेछ र त्यसले यीभन्दा पनि ठुल्ठुला कामहरू गर्नेछ, किनकि म पिताकहाँ गइरहेको छु ।
13 And whatever you, using my authority, ask me to do, I will do it, in order that I can show [you] how great [my] Father is.
तिमीहरूले मेरो नाउँमा जे माग्छौ, सो म गर्नेछु, ताकि पुत्रमा पिता महिमित हुनुभएको होस् ।
14 Anything that you ask [my Father to do, anything that you ask] with my [authority] [MTY], I will do.”
यदि तिमीहरूले मेरो नाउँमा कुनै थोक माग्यौ भने सो म गर्नेछु ।
15 “If you love me, you will do what I have commanded you.
यदि तिमीहरूले मलाई प्रेम गर्छौ भने तिमीहरूले मेरा आज्ञाहरू पालन गर्नेछौ ।
16 Then I myself will request [my] Father, and he will send you someone else who will (encourage/be like a legal counsel for) you. (aiōn g165)
अनि म पितासँग प्रार्थना गर्नेछु, अनि उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई अर्को सल्लाहकार दिनुहुनेछ, ताकि उहाँ तिमीहरूसँग सदासर्वदा रहनुहुनेछ, जो (aiōn g165)
17 [I am talking about] the Spirit, who [will teach you God’s] truth. He will be with you forever. Those who are opposed to God [MTY] cannot receive him, because they cannot understand what he [does], and they cannot know who he is. But you know who he is, because he is with you and he will be inside you.
सत्यका आत्मा हुनुहुन्छ । संसारले उहाँलाई ग्रहण गर्न सक्दैन, किनकि यसले उहाँलाई देख्दैन वा उहाँलाई चिन्दैन । तर तिमीहरू उहाँलाई चिन्दछौ, किनकि उहाँ तिमीहरूसँग रहनुहुन्छ र तिमीहरूमा हुनुहुनेछ ।
18 [When I leave you], I will not let you be alone/helpless [MET]. [When I send the Spirit, it will be like] I am coming back to you (OR, [When I rise from the dead], I will come back to you.)
म तिमीहरूलाई एकलै छोड्नेछैनँ; म तिमीहरूकहाँ फर्की आउनेछु ।
19 Soon those who do not belong to God [MTY] will not see me any more. But [when the Spirit comes to you, it will be as though] you will be seeing me again (OR, But [after I become alive again], you will see me again.) Because I will be alive again, you also will have [eternal] life.
तैपनि केही समय मात्र हो, अनि संसारले मलाई देख्नेछैन, तर तिमीहरू मलाई देख्छौ । किनकि म जिउँछु, तिमीहरू पनि जिउनेछौ ।
20 At that time you will know that I have a close relationship with my Father, and you will have a close relationship with me, and I will have a close relationship with you.
त्यस दिन तिमीहरूले म पितामा छु, अनि तिमीहरू ममा छौ र म तिमीहरूमा छु भनी जान्नेछौ ।
21 Those who have accepted my commands and obey them are the people who love me. My Father will love those who love me. I also will love them, and I will fully reveal to them [what I am like].”
जोसँग मेरा आज्ञाहरू छन् र तिनलाई पालन गर्छन्, मलाई प्रेम गर्ने त्यही हो, अनि जसले मलाई प्रेम गर्छ त्यसलाई मेरा पिताद्वारा प्रेम गरिनेछ, र म त्यसलाई प्रेम गर्नेछु र म आफैँ त्यसकहाँ देखा पर्छु ।”
22 Then Judas spoke to him. He was not Judas Iscariot (OR, Judas, the man from Kerioth [Town]), [but instead a disciple whose other name was Thaddeus]. He said, “Lord, what has happened so that you can fully reveal to us what you are like, and not reveal that to those who do not belong to God [MTY]?”
यहूदाले (स्करियोत होइन) येशूलाई भने, “प्रभु, किन यस्तो, हामीकहाँ चाहिँ तपाईं आफैँ देखा पर्नुहुन्छ र संसारकहाँ चाहिँ देखा पर्नुहुन्न?”
23 Jesus replied to him, “Those who love me will obey what I have told them. My Father will [also] love them. It is those people whom my Father and I will [be able to] come to and (live with/have a personal relationship with).
येशूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, र भन्नुभयो, “यदि कसैले मलाई प्रेम गर्छ भने, त्यसले मरो वचन पालन गर्नेछ । मेरा पिताले त्यसलाई प्रेम गर्नुहुनेछ, अनि हामी त्यसकहाँ आउनेछौँ र त्यससँग हामी हाम्रो बासस्थान बनाउनेछौँ ।”
24 But those who do not love me will not obey what I have told them. [So I cannot reveal to them what I am really like]. These words that I am telling you have not come just from me. They came from [my] Father, the one who sent me.
जसले मलाई प्रेम गर्दैन, त्यसले मेरो वचन पालन गर्दैन । तिमीहरूले सुनेका वचन मबाट आएको होइन, तर पिताबाट आएको हो जसले मलाई पठाउनुभयो ।
25 I have told you all these things while I am still with you.
म तिमीहरूसँग रहिरहँदा नै मैले तिमीहरूलाई यी कुराहरू भनेको छु ।
26 But [my] Father will send the Holy Spirit. He is the one who will (encourage/be like a legal counsel for) you. He will come with my authority [MTY]. He will teach you all of [God’s truth that you need to know]. He will also cause you to remember all the things that I have told you.
तापनि सल्लाहकार अर्थात् पवित्र आत्मा जसलाई पिताले मेरो नाउँमा पठाउनुहुनेछ उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई सबै कुरा सिकाउनुहुनेछ र मैले तिमीहरूलाई भनेका सबै कुरा तिमीहरूलाई याद दिलाउनुहुनेछ ।
27 As I leave you, I am causing you to have [inner] peace. This [inner] peace comes from me. I am not causing you to have something that those who do not belong to God [MTY] can give you. [So] stop being anxious/worried, and do not be afraid.
म तिमीहरूसँग शान्ति छोड्छु; म तिमीहरूलाई मेरो शान्ति दिन्छु । संसारले जसरी दिन्छ त्यसरी म यो तिमीहरूलाई दिन्नँ । तिमीहरूको हृदय विचलित नहोस्, र भयभीत नहोस् ।
28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, but [later] I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going back to [my] Father, because [my] Father is greater than I am, [and there he will honor me and will send the Spirit to you].
मैले तिमीहरूलाई भनेको सुनेका छौ, “म गइरहेछु, अनि म तिमीहरूकहाँ फेरि आउनेछु ।” यदि तिमीहरूले मलाई प्रेम गरेका भए, तिमीहरू खुसी हुनेथियौ, किनकि म पिताकहाँ गइरहेको छु, किनकि पिता मभन्दा महान् हुनुहुन्छ ।
29 I have told you [these things now] before they happen, so that when they happen you will believe [that what I said is true].
अहिले मैले तिमीहरूलाई यो हुन अगाडि नै बताएको छु, ताकि जब यो हुन आउँछ तिमीहरूले विश्वास गर्न सक ।
30 I will not [be able to] talk to you much longer, because what happens to me will be as though [Satan], the ruler of this world, is coming [to attack me]. But he has no [control over what happens to] me.
म तिमीहरूसँग धेरै बोल्दिनँ, किनकि यस संसारको शासक आउँदै छ । त्यसको ममाथि केही शक्ति छैन,
31 Instead, the people who do not belong to God [MTY] must learn [from what happens to me] that I love [my] Father, and I am doing the things that he has commanded me to do. Now, let’s get up and leave here.”
तर म पितालाई प्रेम गर्छु भन्ने संसारले जानोस् भनेर पिताले मलाई जस्तो आज्ञा गर्नुभएको छ म त्यसै गर्छु । उठौँ, र यहाँबाट जाऔँ ।”
