Job 8
1 Then Bildad, from [the] Shuah [area], spoke to Job. He said,
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶୂହୀୟ ବିଲ୍ଦଦ୍ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
2 “Job, how much longer will you talk like this? What you say is [only] hot air.
“ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେତେ କାଳ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା କହିବ? ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁଖର ବାକ୍ୟ କେତେ କାଳ ପ୍ରବଳ ବାୟୁ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ?
3 Almighty God certainly never does [RHQ] what is unfair/unjust. He always does [LIT] what is right/fair.
ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କʼଣ ବିଚାର ବିପରୀତ କରନ୍ତି? ଅଥବା ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ କʼଣ ନ୍ୟାୟ ବିପରୀତ କରନ୍ତି?
4 So, it is evident that your children have sinned against him, therefore he has caused them to be punished for evil things that they have done.
ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧର୍ମର ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି;
5 But, if you will [now] earnestly request [DOU] Almighty [God] to help you,
ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ଵେଷଣ କର; ଓ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣା ନିବେଦନ ଜଣାନ୍ତ;
6 and if you are pure and honest/righteous, he will surely do something good for you and reward you by giving your family back to you and enabling you to prosper.
ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିର୍ମଳ ଓ ସରଳ ଥାʼନ୍ତ, ତେବେ ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଏକ୍ଷଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଧର୍ମନିବାସକୁ ସମୃଦ୍ଧିଶାଳୀ କରନ୍ତେ।
7 And even though you [think that you] were not very prosperous/wealthy before, during the last part of your life you will become very wealthy.
ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଥମାବସ୍ଥା କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ହେଲେ ହେଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶେଷାବସ୍ଥା ଅତିଶୟ ଉନ୍ନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତା।
8 “I request you to think about what happened long ago and consider what our ancestors found out.
କାରଣ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ପୂର୍ବକାଳୀନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ପଚାର ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଗଣ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରି ଯାହା ପାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କର;
9 [It seems as though] we were born only yesterday and we know very little [HYP]; our time here on the earth [disappears quickly, like] a shadow [MET].
କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତ କାଲିର ଲୋକ ଓ କିଛି ଜାଣୁ ନାହୁଁ, ଯେଣୁ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦିନ ଛାୟା ସ୍ୱରୂପ;
10 So, why do you not allow your ancestors to teach you and tell you something? Allow them to tell you from what they learned!
ସେମାନେ କʼଣ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଜଣାଇବେ ନାହିଁ, ପୁଣି ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରୁ କʼଣ ବାକ୍ୟ ଉଚ୍ଚାରଣ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ?
11 Papyrus can certainly not [RHQ] grow in places where there is no marsh/swamp; reeds certainly cannot [RHQ] flourish/grow where there is no water.
ପଙ୍କ ବିନା କʼଣ ନଳ ବଢ଼ିପାରେ? ଜଳ ବିନା କʼଣ ସନ୍ତରା ବଢ଼ିପାରେ?
12 [If they do not have enough water], while they are still blossoming, they wither more quickly than other plants wither.
ତାହା ସତେଜ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ଓ କଟା ନୋହୁଣୁ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ତୃଣ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୁଏ।
13 Those who do not pay attention to what God says are like those [reeds]; godless people stop confidently expecting [that good things will happen to them].
ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପାସୋରନ୍ତି, ସେସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ପଥ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଓ ଧର୍ମହୀନ ଲୋକର ଭରସା ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ,
14 The things they confidently expect to happen do not happen; things they trust [will help them] are [as fragile as] [MET] a spider’s web.
ତାହାର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଶା ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ, ଯେଣୁ ତାହାର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ମାକଡ଼ସାର ଜାଲ ସ୍ୱରୂପ।
15 If they lean against a house (OR, trust in their wealth; OR, lean on a spider web), it does not (endure/protect them) [LIT]; they cling to things [to be protected], but those things do not remain firm.
ସେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ଉପରେ ଆଉଜିବ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ସ୍ଥିର ରହିବ ନାହିଁ; ସେ ତାହା ଦୃଢ଼ କରି ଅବଲମ୍ବନ କରିବ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ରହିବ ନାହିଁ।
16 Godless people [are like plants] [MET] that are watered before the sun rises; their shoots spread all over the gardens.
ସେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସତେଜ ହୁଏ, ତାହାର କୋମଳ ଶାଖା ତାହାର ଉଦ୍ୟାନରେ ମାଡ଼ିଯାଏ।
17 The roots of those plants twist around piles of stones and cling tightly to rocks.
ତାହାର ଚେର ପ୍ରସ୍ତରରାଶିରେ ଜଡ଼ିତ ହୁଏ, ସେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରର ସ୍ଥଳ ଦେଖେ।
18 But if those plants are pulled out, [it is as though] the place where they were planted says ‘They were never here!’ [And that is what happens to wicked people who do not heed what God says].
ଯଦି ସେ ଆପଣା ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ, ତେବେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନ ତାହାକୁ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରି କହିବ, ‘ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ।’
19 Truly, evil people [MET] are not joyful [IRO] for a long time; other people come and take their places.
ଦେଖ, ଏହି ତାହାର ଗତିର ଆମୋଦ, ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଭୂମିରୁ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ଉଠିବେ।
20 :So, [I tell you, Job], God will not reject you if you are truly godly/righteous, but he does not help [IDM] evil people.
ଦେଖ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସିଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକକୁ ଦୂର କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ସେ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ରଖିବେ ନାହିଁ।
21 He will enable you [MTY] to continually laugh and to always shout [joyfully].
ତେବେ ହେଁ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁଖକୁ ହାସ୍ୟରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରକୁ ଆନନ୍ଦଧ୍ୱନିରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବେ।
22 But those who hate you will be very ashamed, and the homes of wicked people will disappear.”
ତୁମ୍ଭର ଘୃଣାକାରୀମାନେ ଲଜ୍ଜା ପରିହିତ ହେବେ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ତମ୍ବୁ ଆଉ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ।”
