Job 36
1 Elihu [finished by] saying this:
एलीहूले निरन्तर बोले र यसो भने,
2 “[Job, ] be patient with me a little longer, because I have something else to teach you. I have something else to say that God [wants you to know].
“मलाई अरू थोरै समय बोल्न दिनुहोस्, र म तपाईंहरूलाई केही कुरा देखाउनेछु, किनकि परमेश्वरको समर्थनमा मैले अलिकति अरू भन्नुछ ।
3 I will tell you what I have learned from many sources, in order to show that God, my creator, is just/fair.
म धेरै टाढाबाट आफ्नो ज्ञान प्राप्त गर्नेछु । धार्मिकता मेरा सृष्टिकर्ताको हो भनी म स्वीकार गर्छु ।
4 I am not saying anything to you that is false; I, who am standing in front of you, am someone who understands things (very well/perfectly) [HYP].
किनकि वास्तवमा नै मेरा शब्दहरू झुटा हुनेछैनन् । ज्ञानमा परिपक्व कोही एक जना तपाईंहरूसँग हुनुहुन्छ ।
5 “Hey, God is [very] powerful, and he does not despise anyone, and he understands everything.
हेर्नुहोस्, परमेश्वर शक्तिशाली हुनुहुन्छ, र उहाँले कसैलाई तिरस्कार गर्नुहुन्न । समझशक्तिको ताकतमा उहाँ शक्तिशाली हुनुहुन्छ ।
6 He does not allow wicked people to remain alive, and he always acts justly toward those who are poor.
दुष्ट मानिसहरूका जीवनलाई उहाँले जोगाउनुहुन्न, बरु, दुःख भोग्नेहरूका लागि जे ठिक हुन्छ, त्यही गर्नुहुन्छ ।
7 He always watches over [MTY] those who are righteous; he allows them to sit on thrones [and rule] with kings, and they are honored forever.
उहाँले धर्मी मानिसहरूबाट आफ्नो दृष्टि हटाउनुहुन्न, तर त्यसको साटोमा राजालाई झैं तिनीहरूलाई सधैंभरि सिंहासनमा राख्नुहुन्छ, र तिनीहरू माथि उचालिन्छन् ।
8 But if people [who commit crimes] are caught, they [are thrown into prison and] are caused to suffer by being fastened with chains.
तिनीहरू साङ्लाले बाँधिए अनि दुःखका डोरीमा अल्झिए भने,
9 When that happens, God shows them what they have done; he shows them the sins that they have committed, and he shows them that they have been proud/arrogant.
तब तिनीहरूले जे गरेका हुन्छन्, अनि तिनीहरूका अपराध र तिनीहरूका घमण्ड, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ ।
10 He causes them to listen [MTY] to what he is warning them, and he commands them to turn away from [doing what is] evil.
उहाँको निर्देशन सुन्नलाई उहाँले तिनीहरूका कान खुल्ला गर्नुहुन्छ, र अधर्मबाट फर्कन तिनीहरूलाई आदेश दिनुहुन्छ ।
11 If they (listen to/heed) him and serve him, [after they get out of prison] they will prosper for all the years that they are alive and be peaceful/happy.
तिनीहरूले उहाँको सोर सुने अनि उहाँको आराधना गरे भने, तिनीहरूले आफ्नो समय समृद्धिमा, र आफ्ना वर्षहरू सन्तुष्टिमा बिताउनेछन् ।
12 But if they do not (listen/pay attention) to him, they will die violently, not knowing [why God is causing them to die].
यद्यपि, तिनीहरू सुन्दैनन् भने, तिनीहरू तरवारले नष्ट पारिनेछन् । तिनीहरूसँग ज्ञान नभएको हुनाले तिनीहरू मर्नेछन् ।
13 “Godless/Wicked people continue being angry, and they do not cry out for help, [even] when God is punishing them.
हृदयमा ईश्वर नभएकाहरूले आफ्नो रिसलाई थुपार्छन् । परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई बाँध्नुहुँदा पनि तिनीहरू मदतको लागि पुकारा गर्दैनन् ।
14 They die while they are still young, disgraced because of their very immoral behavior [EUP].
तिनीहरू आफ्नो युवावस्थामा मर्छन् । तिनीहरूको जीवन झुटा धर्मका वेश्याहरूका बिचमा बित्छ ।
15 But God teaches people by causing them to suffer; by afflicting them, he causes them to listen to [MTY] what he is telling them.
कष्टमा परेका मानिसहरूलाई परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूका कष्टबाट छुटकारा दिनुहुन्छ । तिनीहरूको थिचोमिचोमा उहाँले तिनीहरूसँग बोल्नुहुन्छ ।
16 “And Job, [I think that] God [wants to] bring you out of your troubles and allow you to live without distress; he wants your table to be full of very nice food.
वास्तवमा उहाँले तपाईंलाई निराशाबाट निकालेर, कुनै कठिनाइ नहुने एउटा फराकिलो ठाउँमा लाने इच्छा गर्नुहुन्छ, र तपाईंको टेबल मासुको प्रशस्तताले भरिपूर्ण गर्नुहुन्छ ।
17 But now, you are being punished [MTY] as wicked people are punished; [God] [PRS] has been punishing you (justly/as you deserve).
तर दुष्ट मानिसहरूलाई तपाईं न्याय गर्न पूर्ण हुनुहुन्छ । इन्साफ र न्यायले तपाईंलाई समातेका छन् ।
18 So be careful that you are not deceived by [desiring to acquire] money or that you are not ruined by [accepting] large bribes.
तपाईंको रिसले तपाईंलाई गिल्ला पाउने नबनाओस्, वा घुसको ठुलो रकमले तपाईंलाई पाखा नलगाओस् ।
19 [If you are deceived by those things, ] it certainly will not [RHQ] help you to cry out when you are distressed; all of your strength will not help you.
तपाईंको धन-सम्पत्तिले तपाईंलाई यति फाइदा दिन्छ जसले गर्दा तपाईं निराशामा पर्नुहुन्न? अर्थात् तपाईंको ताकतको सबै शक्तिले तपाईंलाई मदत गर्न सक्छ?
20 Do not wish that it would be nighttime [in order that God will not see you and punish you], because night is the time when [even] people-groups are destroyed!
अरूको विरुद्धमा पाप गर्नलाई रातको इच्छा नगर्नुहोस्, जति बेला मानिसहरू आ-आफ्ना ठाउँमा मारिन्छन् ।
21 Be careful not to [begin doing] evil things, because [God] has caused you to suffer to prevent you from doing evil.
तपाईं पाप गर्नतिर नफर्कनलाई होसियार हुनुहोस्, किनकि तपाईंले पाप गर्न नपरोस् भनेर कष्टद्वारा तपाईंको जाँच हुँदैछ ।
22 “Hey, God is extremely powerful; there is certainly [RHQ] no teacher who teaches like he does.
हेर्नुहोस्, परमेश्वर आफ्नो शक्तिमा उचालिनुभएको छ । उहाँजस्तै शिक्षक को छ र?
23 No one has [RHQ] told him what he should do, and no one has [RHQ] said to him, ‘You have done what is wrong!’
उहाँको चालको विषयमा कसले उहाँलाई कदापि निर्देशन दिएको छ र? कसले उहाँलाई कदापि यसो भन्न सक्छ र, 'तपाईंले अधर्मको काम गर्नुभएको छ?'
24 People have [always] sung to praise him, so you also should never forget to praise him for what he has done.
उहाँका कामहरूको प्रशंसा गर्न नबिर्सिनुहोस् जसको बारेमा मानिसहरूले गाएका छन् ।
25 Everyone has seen [what he has done], but [sometimes] we can see it only from far away.
सबै मानिसले ती कामहरू हेरेका छन्, तर तिनीहरूले ती कामहरू टाढाबाट मात्र देख्छन् ।
26 “Hey, God is very great, and we are not able to know how great he is, and we do not know how old he is.
हेर्नुहोस्, परमेश्वर महान् हुनुहुन्छ, तर हामी उहाँलाई राम्ररी बुझ्न सक्दैनौं । उहाँका वर्षहरूको सङ्ख्याको गणना गर्न सकिंदैन ।
27 He draws water up [from the earth and puts it in clouds] and causes it to become rain.
किनकि उहाँले पानीको थोपालाई माथि तान्नुहुन्छ, आफ्नो बाफलाई चिसो पारेर झरी पार्नुहुन्छ,
28 The rain pours down from the sky/clouds; God causes abundant showers to fall on everyone.
जसलाई बादलहरूले तल खन्याउँछन्, र मानवजातिमा प्रचुर मात्रामा पानी पर्छ ।
29 No one can [RHQ] understand how the clouds move [across the sky] or how it thunders in the sky where God lives.
वास्तवमा के कसैले बादलको बृहत् फैलावट, र उहाँको बासस्थानबाट निस्कने गर्जनलाई बुझ्न सक्छ?
30 He causes lightning to flash all around him, but he causes the bottom of the oceans to remain dark.
हेर्नुहोस्, उहाँले आफ्नो वरिपरि बिजुली चम्काउनुहुन्छ, र समुद्रको गहिराइलाई ढाक्नुहुन्छ ।
31 By providing plenty of rain for us, he enables us to have abundant food.
यसरी उहाँले मानिसहरूको इन्साफ गर्नुहुन्छ, र प्रचुर मात्रामा खानेकुरा दिनुहुन्छ ।
32 [It is as though] he holds the lightning in his hands, and [then] he commands it to strike where he wants it to.
उहाँले बिजुलीलाई निशानामा प्रहार गर्न आज्ञा नदिनुभएसम्म त्यसलाई आफ्नो हातमा लिनुहुन्छ ।
33 When we hear his thunder, we know that there will be a storm, and the cattle know it, too.”
यसको गर्जनले आँधी-बेहरीको चेताउनी दिन्छ, गाईवस्तुले पनि त्यसको आगमनको आवाज सुन्छ ।
