Job 34
1 Then Elihu continued:
தொடர்ந்து எலிகூ சொன்னதாவது:
2 “You [three] men who [think that you] [SAR] are very wise, hear me; listen to what I am saying, you men who [say that you] know so much.
“ஞானமுள்ள மனிதர்களே, என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; கல்விமான்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.
3 When we [SYN] hear what other people [like you] say, we [RHQ] think carefully about what they say [to determine what is good and what is bad], like we [SYN] taste food [to determine what is good].
நாவு உணவைச் சுவைப்பதுபோல், காது வார்த்தைகளை நிதானிக்கிறது.
4 We need to decide [who is saying] what is right and to determine among ourselves what is good/best.
வாருங்கள், சரியானது எது என்பதை நாம் நிதானிப்போம்; எது நல்லது என்பதை நாம் ஒன்றாய்க் கற்றுக்கொள்வோம்.
5 Job has said, ‘I am innocent, but God has refused to judge me fairly/justly.
“யோபுவோ, ‘நான் குற்றமற்றவன், இறைவன் எனக்கு நீதிவழங்க மறுக்கிறார்.
6 Even though I have always done what is right, he is lying about me. Even though I have not done what is wrong, he has caused me to suffer, and I will certainly die.’
நான் சரியானவனாய் இருந்தபோதிலும், பொய்யனாகவே எண்ணப்படுகிறேன். குற்றமற்றவனாய் இருந்தபோதிலும், அவருடைய அம்பு ஆறாதப் புண்ணை உண்டுபண்ணுகிறது’ என்கிறார்.
7 (Is there any person like Job, who insults others as easily as people accept a drink of water?/There is no person like Job, who insults others as easily as people accept a drink of water.) [RHQ]
தண்ணீர் பருகுவதைப்போல் கேலிசெய்யும் யோபுவைப் போன்றவர் உண்டோ?
8 He habitually associates with people who do what is evil and spends time with wicked people.
அவர் தீமை செய்கிறவர்களின் கூட்டத்தில் சேர்ந்து, கொடிய மனிதர்களுடன் வாசம்பண்ணுகிறார்.
9 He has said, ‘It is useless for people to try to please God.’
ஏனெனில் அவர், ‘இறைவனுக்குப் பிரியமாக நடக்க முயற்சிப்பதினால் ஒரு பயனும் இல்லை’ என்கிறாரே.
10 “So, you men who [claim that you] understand everything, listen to me! Almighty God would never consider doing anything that is wicked or wrong [DOU]!
“புத்திமான்களே, நான் சொல்வதைக் கேளுங்கள். தீமை இறைனுக்கும், அநீதி எல்லாம் வல்லவருக்கும் தூரமாயிருக்கிறது.
11 He (pays back/punishes) people for what they have done; he gives them what they deserve for the way that they have conducted their lives.
மனிதருடைய செய்கைக்குத் தக்கதாக அவர் பலனளிக்கிறார். அவர்களுடைய நடக்கைக்குத் தகுந்ததை அவர் அவர்களுக்கு வரப்பண்ணுகிறார்.
12 Truly, Almighty God never does what is wicked; he always [LIT] does what is fair/just.
இறைவன் அநியாயம் செய்யாமலும், எல்லாம் வல்லவர் நீதியைப் புரட்டாமலும் இருக்கிறது உண்மையே.
13 The authority that he has to rule everything on the earth, no one [RHQ] gave it to him; no one [RHQ] put him in control of the whole world. [He has always had that authority].
பூமியின் மேலாக மனிதரை நியமித்தவர் யார்? முழு உலகத்தையும் அவர்களுடைய பொறுப்பில் கொடுத்தவர் யார்?
14 If he would take his spirit back to himself,
அவர் தமது ஆவியையும் தமது சுவாசத்தையும் திரும்ப எடுத்துக்கொள்ள நோக்கங்கொண்டால்,
15 everyone would die [immediately], and their corpses would soon become dirt again.
எல்லா மனுக்குலமும் ஒன்றாய் அழிந்துபோகும்; மனிதர்களும் மண்ணுக்குத் திரும்புவார்கள்.
16 “So, [Job], if [you say that you] understand everything, listen to what I am saying.
“உமக்கு விளங்கும் ஆற்றல் இருந்தால் இதைக் கேளும், நான் சொல்வதற்குச் செவிகொடும்.
17 God could certainly not [RHQ] govern the world if he hated doing what is fair/just. So, will you condemn God, who is righteous and powerful, [saying that what he has done is wrong]?
நீதியை வெறுப்பவன் ஆள முடியுமோ? நீர் நீதியும் வல்லமையுமுள்ளவரை குற்றப்படுத்துவீரோ?
18 He tells [some] kings that they are worthless, and he says to [some] officials that they are wicked.
அரசர்களைப் பார்த்து, ‘ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாதவர்கள்,’ என்றும், உயர்குடி மக்களைப் பார்த்து, ‘நீங்கள் கொடியவர்கள்’ என்றும் சொல்வார்.
19 He does not favor rulers [more than he favors others]; he does not favor rich people more than poor people, because he created all of them.
அவர் இளவரசர்களுக்குப் பாரபட்சம் காட்டுவதில்லை, ஏழையைவிட செல்வந்தனுக்குத் தயவு காட்டுவதுமில்லை; ஏனெனில், அவர்கள் எல்லோருமே அவருடைய கரங்களின் படைப்பல்லவா?
20 People [often] die suddenly; he strikes them at midnight and they die; he even gets rid of mighty people without the help of any humans [SYN].
அவர்கள் நள்ளிரவில் ஒரு நொடியில் சாகிறார்கள்; அசைக்கப்பட்டு இல்லாமல் போகிறார்கள்; பலவான்களும் மனித கரமல்லாத ஒரு கரத்தினால் அகற்றப்படுகிறார்கள்.
21 “He sees [MTY] everything that people do; [when we walk, ] he watches every step that we take.
“இறைவனுடைய கண்கள் மனிதருடைய வழிகளை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது; அவர்களுடைய நடைகளையெல்லாம் அவர் பார்க்கிறார்.
22 There is no gloom or darkness [DOU] that is so dark that sinners can hide [from him] in that darkness.
தீமை செய்கிறவர்கள் தங்களை ஒளித்துக்கொள்வதற்கு இருளான இடமோ, காரிருளோ இல்லை.
23 God does not [need to] set a time when we will stand in front of him in order that he may judge us. [He can judge us whenever he wants to].
இறைவன் மனிதரை மேலும் சோதிக்கமாட்டார்; அவர்கள் அவர்முன் வழக்காடவேண்டிய அவசியமும் இல்லை.
24 He destroys mighty people without [needing to] investigate [what they have done], and he appoints others to take their places.
இறைவன் விசாரணையின்றியே வல்லமையுள்ளவர்களைச் சிதறடித்து, அவர்களுக்குரிய இடத்தில் வேறு மனிதரை அமர்த்துகிறார்.
25 Because he [already] knows what they have done, he removes them at night and gets rid of them.
ஏனெனில், அவர் அவர்களுடைய செயல்களைக் குறித்துக்கொள்கிறார்; இரவில் அவர்களைக் கவிழ்க்கிறார், அவர்கள் நசுங்கிப் போகிறார்கள்.
26 Where [many] people can see it, he strikes/punishes them because of the wicked things that they have done;
அவர் அவர்களின் கொடுமையின் நிமித்தம், எல்லோரும் காணும்படியாக அவர்களைத் தண்டிக்கிறார்.
27 he strikes them because they turned away from doing what he wanted them to do and did not pay attention to any of his commands.
ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் இறைவனைப் பின்பற்றுவதிலிருந்து விலகி, அவருடைய வழிகளை மதியாமல் போகிறார்கள்.
28 They [mistreated] the poor people, with the result that those poor people cried out to God [for help], and he heard those afflicted people when they cried out [to him].
அவர்கள் ஏழைகளின் அழுகுரலை இறைவனுக்கு சேரவைத்தனர்; அவர் அவர்களின் அழுகையைக் கேட்டார்.
29 But if God decides to do nothing [to punish wicked people], no one can criticize/condemn him. If a godless/wicked man rules a nation, a man who tricks/deceives the people,
மவுனமாய் இருக்கிறவரைக் குற்றப்படுத்தாதே; நாட்டிற்கும், மனிதனுக்கும், அவர் தமது முகத்தை மறைத்தால் அவரைப் பார்ப்பவன் யார்?
30 and if [God] hides his face [with the result that he does not see that ruler or punish him], no one will be able to prevent that ruler [from doing those things].
அதினால் இறைவனற்றவர்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்யாமலும், மக்கள் கண்ணியில் சிக்காமலும் தடுக்கிறார்.
31 “Job, have you or anyone else ever said to God, ‘I have been punished [for my sins], and I will not sin any more;
“யாராவது இறைவனிடம் இப்படிக் கேட்பதுண்டா: ‘நான் குற்றவாளி, இனிப் பாவம் செய்யமாட்டேன்.
32 so teach/show me what [sins I have committed]; if I have done anything that is evil, I will not do it any more’?
நான் காணாதவற்றை எனக்குப் போதியும், நான் அக்கிரமம் செய்திருந்தால் இனிமேல் அதைச் செய்யமாட்டேன்.’
33 [Job, ] you object to what God has done to you, but do you think that he will do what you want him to do? It is you who must choose [what you say to God], not I; so tell me what you are thinking about this.
நீர் மனந்திரும்ப மறுக்கும்போது உமது மன எண்ணப்படி இறைவன் வெகுமதி கொடுக்கவேண்டுமோ? நானல்ல, நீரே தீர்மானித்துக்கொள்ளும்; நீர் அறிந்ததை எனக்குச் சொல்லும்.
34 “People who have good sense, those who are wise and who listen to what I say, will say to me,
“நான் சொல்வதைக் கேட்ட விளங்கும் ஆற்றலுள்ளவர்களும் ஞானமுள்ளவர்களும் என்னிடம்,
35 ‘Job is speaking ignorantly; what he says is nonsense.’
‘யோபு அறிவில்லாமல் பேசுகிறார்; அவருடைய வார்த்தைகள் ஞானமில்லாதவை என்றும்,
36 I think that Job should be taken to a court and (put on trial/judged), because he answers [us his friends] like wicked men would answer.
யோபு கொடியவரைப்போல் பேசியதற்காக முற்றிலும் சோதிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
37 To add to the [other] sins that he has committed, he is rebelling [against God]; he shows us that he does not respect God [IDM], making long speeches [saying that God has punished him unjustly].”
தம்முடைய பாவத்துடன் மீறுதலையும் சேர்த்துக் கொள்கிறார்; அவர் எங்கள் மத்தியில் ஏளனமாய்க் கைகொட்டி, இறைவனுக்கு விரோதமான வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசினார்’ என்று என்னிடம் சொல்கிறார்கள்.”
