Jeremiah 36
1 When Jehoiakim had been the king of Judah for almost four years, Yahweh gave this message to me:
১যোচিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমৰ ৰাজত্বৰ চতুৰ্থ বছৰত যিহোৱাৰ পৰা যিৰিমিয়ালৈ এই বাক্য আহিল, বোলে,
2 “Get a scroll, and write on it the messages that I have given to you regarding Israel, Judah, and the other nations. Write all of the messages, starting from the time that I gave you the first message, when Josiah was the king, up until now.
২“তুমি এখন নুৰিওৱা পুথি লোৱা; আৰু মই তোমাক প্ৰথমে কোৱা দিনৰে পৰা, যোচিয়াৰ ৰাজত্বৰ কালৰে পৰা আজিলৈকে, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ, যিহূদাৰ, আৰু সকলো জাতিৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যি যি কথা মই তোমাৰ আগত কৈ আছোঁ, সেই সকলো কথা সেই পুথিত লিখা।
3 When the people of Judah hear [again] about all the disasters that I plan to cause them to experience, perhaps each one of them will repent. If they do that, I will be able to forgive them for the wrong/evil things that they have done.”
৩যিহূদা বংশলৈ মই যি অমঙ্গল ঘটাবলৈ কল্পনা কৰিছোঁ, কিজানি নিজ নিজ কুপথৰ পৰা ঘূৰিবলৈ তেওঁলোকে সেই সকলো অমঙ্গলৰ কথা শুনিব; তেতিয়া মই তেওঁলোকৰ অপৰাধ আৰু পাপ ক্ষমা কৰিম।”
4 [So] I summoned Baruch, the son of Neraiah. Then, as I dictated to him all the messages that Yahweh had spoken to me, he wrote them on a scroll.
৪তেতিয়া যিৰিমিয়াই নেৰিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ বাৰুকক মাতি আনিলত, যিৰিমিয়াক কোৱা যিহোৱাৰ সকলো বাক্য বাৰূকে তেওঁৰ মুখৰ পৰা সেই নুৰিওৱা পুথিখনত লিখিলে।
5 Then I said to him, “I am not allowed to [leave here and] go to the temple.
৫পাছে যিৰিমিয়াই বাৰুকক আজ্ঞা দি কলে, মই বন্ধ আছোঁ, যিহোৱাৰ গৃহলৈ যাব নোৱাৰোঁ।
6 So, you go [to the temple] on the [next] day when the people are (fasting/abstaining from food), and read to them the messages from Yahweh that you wrote while I dictated them to you. Read them [aloud] to all the people [who are there, including] the people of Judah who come [there] from their towns.
৬এই হেতুকে তুমি গৈ যিহোৱাৰ গৃহত উপবাসৰ দিনা, মোৰ মুখৰ পৰা পুথিখনত লিখা যিহোৱাৰ বাক্যবোৰ তেওঁৰ গৃহত থকা লোকসকলে আৰু বিভিন্ন নগৰৰ পৰা অহা যিহূদাৰ সকলো লোকে শুনাকৈ পাঠ কৰা।
7 Perhaps they will turn from their evil behavior and request Yahweh [to act mercifully toward them]. [They must do that, ] because Yahweh is very angry with them and has threatened to punish them severely.”
৭কিজানি তেওঁলোকে নিজ নিজ নিবেদন যিহোৱাৰ আগত জনাব। আৰু তেওঁলোক প্ৰতিজনে নিজ নিজ কুপথৰ পৰা ঘূৰিব; কিয়নো এই জাতিৰ বিৰুদ্ধে প্ৰকাশ কৰা যিহোৱাৰ ক্ৰোধ আৰু কোপ অতি প্ৰবল।
8 Baruch did what I told him to do. He [went to the temple and] read [to the people] all those messages from Yahweh.
৮পাছে পুথিখনত লিখা যিহোৱাৰ বাক্যবোৰ নেৰিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ বাৰুকে যিহোৱাৰ গৃহত পাঠ কৰি যিৰিমিয়া ভাববাদীৰ আজ্ঞা পালন কৰিলে।
9 He did it in December on a day when their leaders had proclaimed that all the people in Jerusalem and the people who had come there from [other] towns in Judah should fast to [please/honor] Yahweh. [It was when] Jehoiakim had been king for almost five years.
৯যোচিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমৰ ৰাজত্ব কালৰ পঞ্চম বছৰৰ নৱম মাহত যিৰূচালেমত থকা লোকসকলে, আৰু যিহূদাৰ নগৰবোৰৰ পৰা যিৰূচালেমলৈ অহা প্ৰজাসকলে যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে উপবাস ঘোষণা কৰিলে।
10 Baruch read to all the people the messages [that he had written] on the scroll. [He read them while he was] in the temple, in the room where Gemariah stayed. He was the son of Shaphan, [who had previously been the king’s] secretary. That room was close to the upper courtyard [of the temple], near the entrance to the temple that is [called] the New Gate.
১০তেতিয়া বাৰুকে যিহোৱাৰ গৃহত, চাফনৰ পুত্ৰ গমৰিয়া লিখকৰ কোঁঠালিত, যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ নতুন দুৱাৰৰ সোমোৱা ঠাইত, ওপৰ চোতালত, সেই পুথিখনত লিখা যিৰিমিয়াৰ বাক্যবোৰ সকলো লোকে শুনাকৈ পাঠ কৰিলে।
11 When Micaiah, who was the son of Gemariah and grandson of Shaphan, heard those messages from Yahweh,
১১আৰু চাফনৰ নাতিয়েক গমৰিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ মীখায়াই সেই পুথিখনৰ পৰা যিহোৱাৰ সকলো বাক্য শুনিলে।
12 he went down to the secretary’s room in the palace, where all the king’s officials were meeting. Elishama the [king’s] secretary [was there]. Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, Elnathan the son of Acbor, Gemariah, Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the [other] officials [of the king were also there].
১২তেওঁ ৰাজ-গৃহলৈ লিখকৰ কোঁঠালিলৈ নামি গ’ল; চোৱা, সেই সময়ত সকলো প্ৰধান লোক, অৰ্থাৎ ইলীচামা লিখক, চমৰিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ দলায়া, অকবোৰৰ পুত্ৰ ইলনাথন, চাফনৰ পুত্ৰ গমৰিয়া, আৰু হননিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ চিদিকিয়া আদি সকলো প্ৰধান লোক তাত বহি আছিল।
13 When Micaiah told them about the messages that Baruch had been reading to the people,
১৩তেতিয়া লোকসকলে শুনিবলৈ বাৰুকে পুথিখন পাঠ কৰা সময়ত মীখায়াই যি সকলো বাক্য শুনিছিল, তেওঁ তাক তেওঁলোকৰ আগত প্ৰকাশ কৰিলে।
14 the officials sent Jehudi, who was the son of Nethaniah and grandson of Shelemiah and great-grandson of Cushi, to tell Baruch to come [and read the messages to them, also]. So Baruch took the scroll and went to them.
১৪এই হেতুকে সকলো প্ৰধান লোকে কুচীৰ প্ৰপৌত্ৰ চেলেমিয়াৰ নাতিয়েক নথনিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যিহূদীক বাৰুকৰ ওচৰলৈ এই কথা কৈ পঠিয়ালে, “লোকসকলে শুনাকৈ তুমি পাঠ কৰা নুৰিওৱা পুথিখন তুমি হাতত লৈ আহাঁ।”
15 They said to him, “Please sit down and read it [to us].” So Baruch did what they requested.
১৫তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক ক’লে, “এতিয়া বহি আমি শুনাকৈ পাঠ কৰা; তেতিয়া বাৰুক তেওঁলোকে শুনাকৈ পাঠ কৰিলে।”
16 After they had heard all the messages, they were afraid. They looked at each other and [then] they said, “We must tell these messages to the king!”
১৬তেতিয়া সেই সকলো কথা শুনি তেওঁলোক আটাইৰে ভয় লাগি ইজনে সিজনলৈ চোৱা-চোই কৰি বাৰুকক ক’লে, “আমি এই সকলো কথাৰ বিষয়ে অৱশ্যে ৰজাক জনাব লাগিব।”
17 Then they asked Baruch, “How did you get this scroll? Did Jeremiah dictate to you all the messages on this scroll?”
১৭পাছে তেওঁলোকে বাৰুকক সুধিলে, “কোৱাচোন, তুমি কেনেকৈ তেওঁৰ মুখৰ পৰা এইবোৰ কথা লিখিছিলা?
18 Baruch replied, “[Yes], Jeremiah dictated them to me, and I wrote them with ink on this scroll.”
১৮তেতিয়া বাৰুকে উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “তেওঁ মুখেৰে মোৰ আগত এই সকলো বাক্য উচ্ছাৰণ কৰিছিল, আৰু মই চিয়াঁহীৰে এই পুথিত এই সকলো লিখিছিলোঁ।
19 Then the officials told Baruch, “You and Jeremiah must both hide. Do not tell anyone where you are!”
১৯তেতিয়া প্ৰধান লোকসকলে বাৰুকক ক’লে, “তুমি আৰু যিৰিমিয়া গৈ, তোমালোকৰ থকা ঠাই কোনেও নজনাকৈ লোকাই থাকাগৈ।”
20 They put the scroll in the room of Elishama, the king’s secretary. Then they went to the king, who was in the courtyard, and reported to him everything [that Baruch had read to them].
২০তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে ইলীচামা লিখকৰ কোঁঠালিত পুথিখন থৈ ৰজাৰ ওচৰলৈ অৰ্থাৎ চোতাললৈ সোমাই গ’ল, আৰু ৰজাই শুনাকৈ সেই সকলো বাক্য প্ৰকাশ কৰিলে।
21 Then the king sent Jehudi to get the scroll. Jehudi brought it from Elishama’s room and read it to the king, while all the [king’s] officials were standing there.
২১তেতিয়া ৰজাই পুথিখন আনিবলৈ যিহূদীক পঠিয়ালে, যিহূদীয়ে ইলীচামা লিখকৰ কোঁঠালিৰ পৰা তাক আনিলে। আৰু ৰজাই শুনাকৈ, আৰু তেওঁৰ ওচৰত থিয় হৈ থকা সকলো প্ৰধান লোকে শুনাকৈ যিহূদীয়ে তাক পাঠ কৰিলে।
22 It was in the cold season, and the king was in a part of the palace where he stayed when it was cold. He was sitting in front of a fire [to keep/be warm].
২২সেই সময়ত ৰজাই নৱম মাহত জাৰকালিত থকা ঘৰত বহি আছিল, আৰু তেওঁৰ আগত টিফাইত জুই জ্বলি আছিল।
23 Each time Jehudi finished reading three or four columns, the king cut off that section of the scroll with a knife and threw it into the fire. He did that, section by section, until the entire scroll was burned up.
২৩পাছত যিহূদীয়ে পৃষ্ঠাৰ তিনি চাৰি অংশ পাঠ কৰাৰ পাছত ৰজাই লিখকৰ কলম কটা কটাৰীৰে তাক কাটি টিফাইৰ জুইত পেলায়; এইদৰে গোটেই পুথিখন টিফাইৰ জুইত নষ্ট নোহোৱালৈকে তেওঁ কাটি কাটি পেলাই আছিল।
24 Neither the king nor his officials showed that they were afraid [that God would punish them]. They did not tear their clothes [to show that they were sorry for what they had done].
২৪সেই সকলো বাক্য শুনিও ৰজা আৰু মন্ত্ৰী কোনেও ভয় নকৰিলে, বা নিজ নিজ বস্ত্ৰ নাফালিলে।
25 Elnathan, Delaiah, and Gemariah pleaded with the king not to burn the scroll, but he did not pay any attention.
২৫ইলনাথন, দলায়া, আৰু গমৰিয়াই পুথিখন নুপুৰিবলৈ ৰজাক বিনয় কৰিলে; তথাপি তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ কথা নুশুনিলে।
26 Then the king commanded his son Jerahmeel, Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel to arrest Baruch and me. But [they were unable to do that because] Yahweh had hidden us.
২৬পাছত ৰজাই যিৰহমেল কোঁৱৰক, অজ্ৰীয়েলৰ পুত্ৰ চৰায়াক, অব্দয়েলৰ পুত্ৰ চেলেমীয়াক, বাৰুক লিখক আৰু যিৰিমিয়া ভাববাদীক ধৰিবলৈ আজ্ঞা কৰিলে; কিন্তু যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকক লুকুৱাই থৈছিল।
27 After the king had burned the scroll on which were written the messages that I had dictated to Baruch, Yahweh said this to me:
২৭তেতিয়া ৰজাই, যিৰিমিয়াৰ মুখৰ পৰা শুনি শুনি বাৰুকে লিখা বাক্যবোৰে সৈতে পুথিখন পুৰি পেলোৱাৰ পাছত যিহোৱাৰ এই বাক্য যিৰিমিয়ালৈ আহিল, বোলে,
28 “Get another scroll, and [tell Baruch to] write everything again, the same messages that he had written on the scroll that the king burned.
২৮“তুমি পুনৰায় আৰু এখন নুৰিওৱা পুথিৰ বিষয়ে কোৱা, আৰু যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমে পুৰি পেলোৱা সেই প্ৰথম পুথিত আগেয়ে যি যি লিখা আছিল, সেই সকলো তাত লিখা।
29 [Then go to] the king and say to him, ‘Yahweh says this: “You burned the scroll [because you did not like] what was written on it, that the king of Babylon would surely [RHQ] come [with his army] and destroy this land and get rid of all the people and the animals.
২৯তেতিয়া যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমৰ বিষয়ে নিশ্চয়ে তুমি ক’বা, ‘যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, যে, বাবিলৰ ৰজাই অৱশ্যে আহি এই দেশ নষ্ট কৰিব, আৰু ইয়াত পশু আৰু মানুহ নোহোৱা কৰিব, এনে কথা এই পুথিখনত কিয় লিখিছা? এই বুলি তুমি তাক পুৰি পেলালা!’
30 Now this is what [I], Yahweh, say about [you], Jehoiakim: 'None of your descendants will rule this kingdom [MTY]. Your corpse will be thrown out [on the ground and not be buried]; it will be under the hot [sun] during the days and [struck by] frost during the nights.
৩০এই হেতুকে যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমৰ বিষয়ে যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, যে, যিহূদাৰ সিংহাসনত বহিবলৈ তেওঁৰ বংশৰ কোনো নাথাকিব, আৰু তেওঁৰ শৱ দিনত ৰ’দত আৰু ৰাতি হিমত পৰি থাকিব।
31 I will punish you and your family and your officials for their sins. And I will cause the people of Jerusalem and the people of the [other] towns in Judah to experience all the disasters that I promised, because you all would not pay attention [to what I said]!'” '”
৩১আৰু মই তোমাক, “তোমাৰ বংশক, আৰু তোমাৰ মন্ত্ৰীসকলক তোমালোকৰ অপৰাধৰ কাৰণে দণ্ড দিম। আৰু তোমালোকৰ অহিতে, যিৰূচালেম-নিবাসীসকল আৰু যিহূদী লোকসকলৰ অহিতে যি অমঙ্গলৰ কথা ক’লোঁ, কিন্তু তোমালোকে নুশুনিলা, সেই সকলো অমঙ্গল মই তোমালোকলৈ ঘটাম।”
32 So I took another scroll, and again I dictated the messages to Baruch. He wrote everything that had been written on the [other] scroll, the one that King Jehoiakim had burned in the fire. [But this time, I] added more messages.
৩২তেতিয়া যিৰিমিয়াই আৰু এখন নুৰিওৱা পুথি লৈ নেৰিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ বাৰুক লিখকক দিলে। বাৰুকে যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমে, যিৰিমিয়াৰ মুখৰ পৰা ওলোৱা সকলো বাক্য জুইত পুৰি পেলোৱা পুথিখনৰ সকলো বাক্য তাত লিখিলে। তাৰ বাহিৰে তেনেকুৱা আৰু অনেক কথাও তাত যোগ দিয়া হ’ল।
