Jeremiah 33
1 While I was still being guarded in the courtyard of the palace, Yahweh gave me this second message:
૧વળી યર્મિયા હજી કેદી તરીકે રક્ષકઘરના ચોકમાં હતો ત્યારે બીજી વાર યહોવાહનું વચન તેની પાસે આવ્યું.
2 “This is what I, the one who made the earth, who formed/shaped it and put it in its place, say [to the people of Jerusalem]: ‘My name is Yahweh.
૨“યહોવાહ જે જગતના ઉત્પન્ન કરનાર, તેનો રચનાર અને તેને સ્થિર કરનાર છે. તેમનું નામ યહોવાહ છે; તે કહે છે કે,
3 Call out to me, and [then] I will tell you great and wonderful things that you have not known [before].’
૩“તું મને હાંક માર અને હું તને જવાબ આપીશ. અને જે મોટી અને ગૂઢ વાતો તું જાણતો નથી તે હું તને જણાવીશ.
4 This is what [I, ] Yahweh, the God whom [you] Israeli people [say you belong to], say: ‘[The men in this city] have torn down [some of] their houses, and [even parts of] the king’s palace, to get materials to strengthen the walls around the city, in order that [the soldiers of Babylonia will not be able to break through the walls after they climb up] the ramps that they have built against the walls, and [kill the inhabitants with] their swords.
૪આથી આ નગરનાં ઘરો અને યહૂદિયાના રાજાઓના મહેલો જે મોરચાઓની સામે તથા તલવારની સામે રક્ષણ મેળવવા માટે તોડી નંખાયાં હતાં. તેઓ વિષે ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર કહે છે કે,
5 You are expecting to fight against the army from Babylonia, but [what will happen is that] the houses of this city will be filled with the corpses of the men of this city whom I will [allow to be killed] because I am extremely angry [DOU] with them. I have abandoned them because of all the wicked things that they have done.
૫તેઓ ખાલદીઓ વિરુદ્ધ લડાઈ કરવા આવ્યા પણ જેઓને મેં મારા કોપથી અને ક્રોધથી હણ્યા છે. અને જેઓના આચરેલાં દુષ્કૃત્યોને લીધે મેં આ નગર છોડી દીધું છે. તેઓના મૃતદેહોથી તે ઘરો ભરાઈ જશે.
6 However, [there will be a time when] I will cause the people in this city to be healthy and strong again. I will enable them to be prosperous and have peace.
૬છતાંપણ જો હું તને આરોગ્ય તથા કુશળતા બક્ષીશ અને તેઓને નીરોગી કરીશ. હું તેઓને પૂર્ણ શાંતિ, ભરપુરી અને વિશ્વાસુપણાનો અનુભવ કરાવીશ.
7 I will bring the people of Judah and Israel back from the lands to which they were exiled. I will enable them to rebuild their towns.
૭હું યહૂદિયા અને ઇઝરાયલને ફરીથી બાંધીશ અને તેઓની પરીસ્થિતિ ફેરવીને તેઓને ઉજ્જવળ ભવિષ્ય આપીશ.
8 I will get rid of their guilt for all the sins that they have committed against me, and I will forgive them for their sin of rebelling against me.
૮તેઓએ મારી વિરુદ્ધ જે બધાં પાપો અને દુષ્કૃત્યો કર્યાં છે તેઓને શુદ્ધ કરીશ તથા તેઓને ક્ષમા આપીશ.
9 [When that happens], all the nations of the world will rejoice, and they will praise me and honor me. They will hear about all the good things that I have done for this city and, because of that, they will revere me, and they will tremble because I have caused [the people in this city] to have peace and to prosper.’
૯હું તેઓનું સર્વ વાતે હિત કરું છું તે વિષે જયારે પૃથ્વી પરની બધી પ્રજાઓ સમક્ષ આ નગર મને આનંદનું, સ્તુતિનું અને ગૌરવનું કારણ થઈ પડશે. અને તેનું જે હિત અને ભલું હું કરું છું તેને લીધે તેઓ ભયભીત થઈને કંપી ઊઠશે.”
10 And this is also what [I], Yahweh, say: ‘You people have said that this is a land where there are no [longer] any people or animals. But in the streets of Jerusalem that are now completely empty [DOU], and in the [other] towns in Judah,
૧૦યહોવાહ કહે છે “જેને તું નિર્જન, પશુહીન અને ઉજ્જડ સ્થાન કહે છે. એવા આ સ્થાનમાં એટલે યહૂદિયાના નગરોમાં અને યરુશાલેમની નિર્જન, વસ્તીહીન, પશુહીન અને ઉજ્જડ શેરીઓમાં,
11 [some day] people will again be happy and laugh. Brides and bridegrooms will [again] sing [joyfully]. And many other people will also sing joyfully as they bring their offerings to me to thank me [for what I have done for them]. [They will sing this song]: “[We] thank you, the Commander of the armies of angels, because you are good [to us]. You faithfully love [us] forever.” [They will sing that] because I will cause [the people of] land to be as prosperous as they were before.’
૧૧હર્ષ તથા આનંદનો સાદ, વરવધૂનો કિલ્લોલ કરતો સાદ અને સૈન્યોના યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરો, કેમ કે યહોવાહ સારા છે તેમની કૃપા સદાકાળ ટકે છે,’ એવું કહેનારોનો સાદ અને યહોવાહના ઘરમાં આભારાર્થાર્પણો લાવનારોનો સાદ હજી સંભળાશે. કેમ કે આગલા વખતમાં હતું તેમ હું દેશનો બંદીવાસ ફેરવી નાખીશ. એમ યહોવાહ કહે છે.
12 This land is [now] desolate. There are no people or animals living here. But [I], the Commander of the armies of angels, say this: ‘In this land there will again be pastures/fields where shepherds will lead their sheep.
૧૨સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે કે; વસ્તી વગરના અને પશુ વગરના ઉજ્જડ થયેલા એવા આ સ્થાનમાં તથા તેના નગરોમાં ફરીથી ઘેટાંબકરાંને આરામ કરાવતાં ભરવાડોનું આશ્રયસ્થાન થશે.
13 Shepherds will again count their sheep as the sheep walk by, outside the towns in the hilly area, in the western foothills, in the southern desert area, in the land [where the descendants] of Benjamin live, around Jerusalem, and outside [all] the [other] towns in Judah.’ [That will surely happen because I], Yahweh, have said it.
૧૩યહોવાહ કહે છે, પહાડી દેશમાં, શફેલાનાં નગરોમાં અને દક્ષિણ પ્રદેશમાં અને બિન્યામીન પ્રદેશમાં, યહૂદિયાના નગરોમાં અને યરુશાલેમની ચારેતરફના સ્થળોએ ઘેટાં ગણનારાના હાથ નીચે ટોળાં ફરી હારબંધ ચાલશે.”
14 Listen to this! [I], Yahweh, say that there will be a time when I will do for the people of Israel and Judah [all the good things that] I promised to do [for them].
૧૪યહોવાહ કહે છે કે, “જુઓ! એવો સમય આવશે કે’ “જે સમયે ઇઝરાયલના તથા યહૂદિયાના હકમાં સારું કરવાનું મેં આપેલું વચન હું પૂર્ણ કરીશ.
15 At that time [DOU] I will appoint a righteous man who will be a descendant [MET] of King David. Throughout the land, he will do what is just and right.
૧૫તે સમયે હું દાઉદના કુળમાં એક ન્યાયીપણાનો અંકુર ઉગાવીશ. જે નીતિ અને ન્યાયીપણાથી રાજ કરશે.
16 At that time, [the people of] Judah will be rescued [from their enemies], and [the people of] Jerusalem will be safe. And people will say that the name of the city is ‘Yahweh [is the one who] vindicates/defends us’.
૧૬તે સમયે યહૂદિયાનો ઉદ્ધાર થશે તથા યરુશાલેમ નિર્ભય રહેશે. ‘યહોવાહ આપણું ન્યાયીપણું’ એ નામથી તેઓ ઓળખાશે.’”
17 And this is [also] what [I], Yahweh, say: ‘There will be descendants of King David ruling [MTY] Israel forever.
૧૭કેમ કે યહોવાહ આ પ્રમાણે કહે છે, “ઇઝરાયલની ગાદીએ બેસનાર પુરુષની ખોટ દાઉદના કુટુંબમાં કદી પડશે નહિ,
18 And there will always be priests who are descendants of Levi who [stand] in front of me and offer sacrifices that will be completely burned [on the altar] and who will burn grain offerings and [other] sacrifices.’”
૧૮તેમ જ મારી સમક્ષ દહનીયાર્પણ ચઢાવનાર, ખાદ્યાર્પણ બાળનાર અને નિત્ય યજ્ઞ કરનારની ખોટ લેવી યાજકોમાં પડશે નહિ.”
19 [Then] Yahweh gave me this message:
૧૯વળી યહોવાહનું વચન યર્મિયા પાસે આ પ્રમાણે આવ્યું કે,
20 “This is what [I], Yahweh, say: ‘[You] certainly cannot annul my promise/agreement to cause nighttime to follow daytime each day.
૨૦“યહોવાહ કહે છે કે; જો તમે દિવસ સાથેનો તથા રાત સાથેનો મારો કરાર તોડશો, તો દિવસ અને રાત નિયત સમયે થશે નહિ.
21 Similarly, you cannot annul the promise/agreement [that I made] with King David, who served me [well], that there will always be descendants of his who will rule [Judah]. The same is true for my agreement with the descendants of Levi who are priests who do work for me.
૨૧એ જ પ્રમાણે તેના રાજ્યસન પર રાજ કરનાર કોઈ દીકરો ન હોવાથી મારા સેવક દાઉદ સાથેના તથા મારા સેવકો લેવી યાજકો સાથેનો મારા કરારોનો ભંગ થાય.
22 No one can count the stars in the sky, and no one can count the grains of sand at the seashore. Similarly, I will cause there to be a huge number of priests who are descendants of David and descendants of Levi who will work for me.’”
૨૨આકાશમાંના અસંખ્ય તારાઓની જેમ અથવા સમુદ્રની અગણિત રેતીની જેમ હું મારા સેવક દાઉદના વંશજો અને મારી સેવા કરનાર લેવીઓની સંખ્યામાં વૃદ્ધિ કરીશ.”
23 Yahweh gave another message to me. He said,
૨૩વળી યહોવાહનું વચન યર્મિયા પાસે આવ્યું કે,
24 “Have you noticed/heard that some people are saying, ‘Yahweh chose two groups, the people [of Judah] and the people [of Israel], and [later] abandoned them.’ They are despising my people and saying that Israel no longer deserves to be considered a nation.
૨૪“લોકો શું કહે છે તે તું ધ્યાનમાં લેતો નથી? તેઓ કહે છે કે ‘જે બે ગોત્રને યહોવાહે પસંદ કર્યાં હતાં તેઓનો તેણે અનાદર કર્યો છે?’ અને એમ તેઓ મારા લોકની હાંસી કરે છે કે, તેઓની નજરમાં મારી પ્રજા ગણતરીમાં ન ગણાય.’”
25 But this is what I say: ‘I will not change my laws that control the day and the night, the sky and the earth.
૨૫હું યહોવાહ આ કહું છું કે, જો દિવસ તથા રાત સાથેનો મારો કરાર ટકે નહિ. અને જો મેં પૃથ્વી તથા આકાશના નિયમો નિર્ધારિત કર્યા નહિ હોય,
26 Similarly, I will never abandon the descendants of David or the [other] descendants of Jacob, and I will always allow descendants of David to rule the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will bring my people back to their land, and I will act mercifully toward them.’”
૨૬ત્યારે હું યાકૂબના અને મારા સેવક દાઉદના સંતાનોનો એટલે સુધી ત્યાગ કરીશ કે, હું તેઓના સંતાનોમાંથી ઇબ્રાહિમ, ઇસહાક અને યાકૂબના વંશજો પર સરદારો થવા માટે કોઈને પસંદ કરીશ નહિ. કેમ કે હું તેઓનો બંદીવાસ ફેરવી નાખીશ અને તેઓ પર દયા કરીશ નહિ.’”
