Isaiah 59
1 Listen to this! Yahweh’s power [MTY] is not ended/gone, with the result that he cannot save [you]. He has not become deaf [MTY], with the result that he cannot hear [you when you call to him for help].
En verdad, la mano del Señor no se ha acortado, por lo que no puede dar la salvación; y su oído no está cerrado para oír:
2 But, you have separated yourselves from your God by the sins that you have committed. Because of your sins, he has turned away from you, with the result that he does not pay attention to what you request him to do.
Pero tus pecados se han interpuesto entre ti y tu Dios, y por tus malas acciones su rostro ha sido ocultado, de modo que no te dará respuesta.
3 You do violent things [MTY] [to others], with the result that your hands are stained with their blood. You [constantly] tell [MTY] lies, and you say [MTY] evil things [about others].
Porque tus manos están inmundas de sangre, y tus dedos de pecado; tus labios han dicho cosas falsas, y tu lengua engaña.
4 When you accuse someone in court, what you say is not fair and it is not true. You accuse people falsely. You are [constantly] planning to cause trouble for others, and then you do those evil things that you planned.
Nadie presenta una causa recta, ni da una decisión verdadera; su esperanza es engañosa y sus palabras son falsas; Están engendrados con el pecado, y dan a luz al mal.
5 What you plan to do to harm people [MET] is as dangerous as the eggs of a (cobra/poisonous snake), because cobras will hatch from those eggs. You trap people like [MET] spiders trap/catch insects in their webs.
Dan a luz huevos de serpiente, y hacen hilos de araña; el que toma sus huevos para comer, muere, y el huevo triturado se convierte en una serpiente venenosa.
6 We people cannot hide/cover our skin with clothes made of spider webs [MET], and similarly you cannot hide the evil things that you have done. You are [constantly] acting [MTY] violently.
Sus hilos retorcidos no harán ropa, y sus obras no les darán nada para cubrirse a sí mismos; sus obras son obras de pecado, y los actos violentos están en sus manos.
7 You [SYN] are very quick to go and do evil things, and you hurry to murder people [MTY] who are innocent. You are [continually] thinking about sinning. Wherever you go, you destroy things and cause people to suffer.
Sus pies van rápidamente al mal, y se deleitan en la muerte de los rectos; sus pensamientos son pensamientos de pecado; El derroche y la destrucción están en sus caminos.
8 You do not know how to act peacefully or to treat others fairly. You always are (dishonest/deceiving others) [MET], and those who imitate your behavior never have any inner peace.
No tienen conocimiento del camino de la paz, y no tienen sentido de lo que es correcto en su comportamiento; se han forjado caminos que no son rectos; el que entra en ellos no tiene conocimiento de la paz.
9 Because of that, God does not rescue us [from our enemies]; [it seems that] he is not acting fairly/righteously toward us. We expect [God to give us] light, but all [he gives us] is darkness [DOU].
Por esta causa nuestro derecho está lejos de nosotros, y la justicia no nos alcanza; estamos buscando la luz, pero solo existe la oscuridad; resplandor, pero andamos en la oscuridad.
10 We are like [SIM] blind people who have to feel along a wall to be able to walk anywhere. We stumble [and trip] at noontime like [SIM] we would when it is dark. We are like [SIM] dead people who are among healthy people.
Seguimos nuestro camino, como hombres ciegos que buscan la pared, como aquellos que no tienen ojos; corremos contra las cosas a la luz del día como si fuera de noche; Nuestro lugar está en la oscuridad como hombres muertos.
11 We growl like [SIM] [hungry] bears; we continually moan like [SIM] doves. We seek [people who do] what is just/fair, but we cannot find any [anywhere]. [We want God] to rescue us, but [it seems that] he is far away.
Hacemos ruidos de dolor, como osos, y sonidos tristes como palomas: estamos buscando nuestra justicia, pero no está allí; por la salvación, pero está lejos de nosotros.
12 [But these things are happening] because [it is as though] our sins are piled high in the presence of God, and that they testify [PRS] against us. We cannot deny it; we know that we have done many wrong things.
Porque nuestras malas acciones aumentan delante de ti, y nuestros pecados dan testimonio contra nosotros; porque nuestras malas acciones están con nosotros, y tenemos conocimiento de nuestros pecados.
13 [We know that] we have rebelled against Yahweh; we have turned away from him. We (oppress people/treat people cruelly) by what we testify [against them]; we do not allow them to get what they have a right to get. We [SYN] think about the lies that we can tell, and then we tell them.
Hemos ido en contra del Señor y hemos sido falsos con él, apartándonos de nuestro Dios, nuestras palabras han sido descontroladas y en nuestros corazones hay pensamientos de engaño.
14 [In our courts, the judges] do not decide cases/matters fairly; no one is acting righteously. In plazas where people gather together, no one tells the truth [PRS]; [it seems that people] are not allowed to say what is true.
Y el derecho se ha vuelto atrás, y la justicia está muy lejos; porque la buena fe no se ve en los lugares públicos, y la verdad tropezó en la plaza. El comportamiento recto no puede entrar.
15 No one tells the truth, and people try to ruin [the reputations of] those who quit doing evil. Yahweh looked around, and he saw that no one was doing what is just/fair, and he was [very] displeased.
Sí, la fe se ha ido; y aquel cuyo corazón se ha vuelto del mal, llega al poder de los crueles; y el Señor lo vio, y se enojó de que no había nadie para defender su causa.
16 He was disgusted when he saw that no one tried to help [those who were being treated cruelly]. So he used his own power [MTY] to rescue them; it is because he is always righteous that he did that [PRS].
Y vio que no había hombre, y se sorprendió de que no hubiera nadie que les ayudara; así que su brazo dio la salvación, e hizo justicia con su apoyo.
17 [It is as though he is a soldier who] [MET] puts on his armor and a helmet; his continually doing what is right is like [MET] his armor, and his ability to rescue people is [like] his helmet. His being extremely angry and his being ready to get revenge [on those who do evil] are like [MET] his robes.
Sí, se puso la justicia como una coraza, y la salvación como un casco; y se puso el castigo como vestimenta, y la ira como un manto.
18 He will repay his enemies for the evil things that they have done. He will severely punish [MTY] even those who live far [from Jerusalem].
Él les dará la recompensa correcta de sus actos, la ira a sus atacantes, el castigo a sus enemigos, e incluso en las islas enviará el castigo.
19 When that happens, people everywhere, from the east to the west, will respect and honor Yahweh [MTY], because he will come like [SIM] a rushing river that is pushed along by the strong wind that Yahweh sent.
Entonces verán el nombre del Señor desde el oeste, y su gloria desde el este, porque vendrá como una corriente apresurada, forzada por un viento del Señor.
20 And Yahweh says that he will come to Jerusalem to free [his people]; he will come to rescue those in Judah who have quit (doing sinful things/their sinful behavior).
Y como salvador vendrá a Sión, y de todos los descendientes de Jacob que se arrepientan de sus culpas, dice el Señor.
21 This is what Yahweh says to his people: “This is the agreement that I will make with you: My Spirit will not leave you, and you will always have my message. You will [be able to] declare it [MTY], and your children and grandchildren will [be able to] declare it forever.”
Y en cuanto a mí, este es mi acuerdo con ellos, dice el Señor: mi espíritu que está sobre ti, y mis palabras que he puesto en tu boca, no se irán de tu boca ni de tu simiente, o de la boca de tu simiente, dice el Señor, desde ahora y por siempre.
