< Isaiah 59 >

1 Listen to this! Yahweh’s power [MTY] is not ended/gone, with the result that he cannot save [you]. He has not become deaf [MTY], with the result that he cannot hear [you when you call to him for help].
look! not be short hand: power LORD from to save and not to honor: dull ear his from to hear: hear
2 But, you have separated yourselves from your God by the sins that you have committed. Because of your sins, he has turned away from you, with the result that he does not pay attention to what you request him to do.
that if: except if: except iniquity: crime your to be to separate between you to/for between God your and sin your to hide face from you from to hear: hear
3 You do violent things [MTY] [to others], with the result that your hands are stained with their blood. You [constantly] tell [MTY] lies, and you say [MTY] evil things [about others].
for palm your to defile in/on/with blood and finger your in/on/with iniquity: crime lips your to speak: speak deception tongue your injustice to mutter
4 When you accuse someone in court, what you say is not fair and it is not true. You accuse people falsely. You are [constantly] planning to cause trouble for others, and then you do those evil things that you planned.
nothing to call: call to in/on/with righteousness and nothing to judge in/on/with faithfulness to trust upon formlessness and to speak: speak vanity: false to conceive trouble and to beget evil: wickedness
5 What you plan to do to harm people [MET] is as dangerous as the eggs of a (cobra/poisonous snake), because cobras will hatch from those eggs. You trap people like [MET] spiders trap/catch insects in their webs.
egg serpent to break up/open and web spider to weave [the] to eat from egg their to die and [the] crushed to break up/open viper
6 We people cannot hide/cover our skin with clothes made of spider webs [MET], and similarly you cannot hide the evil things that you have done. You are [constantly] acting [MTY] violently.
web their not to be to/for garment and not to cover in/on/with deed: work their deed: work their deed: work evil: wickedness and work violence in/on/with palm their
7 You [SYN] are very quick to go and do evil things, and you hurry to murder people [MTY] who are innocent. You are [continually] thinking about sinning. Wherever you go, you destroy things and cause people to suffer.
foot their to/for bad: evil to run: run and to hasten to/for to pour: kill blood innocent plot their plot evil: wickedness violence and breaking in/on/with highway their
8 You do not know how to act peacefully or to treat others fairly. You always are (dishonest/deceiving others) [MET], and those who imitate your behavior never have any inner peace.
way: conduct peace not to know and nothing justice in/on/with track their path their to twist to/for them all to tread in/on/with her not to know peace
9 Because of that, God does not rescue us [from our enemies]; [it seems that] he is not acting fairly/righteously toward us. We expect [God to give us] light, but all [he gives us] is darkness [DOU].
upon so to remove justice from us and not to overtake us righteousness to await to/for light and behold darkness to/for brightness in/on/with darkness to go: walk
10 We are like [SIM] blind people who have to feel along a wall to be able to walk anywhere. We stumble [and trip] at noontime like [SIM] we would when it is dark. We are like [SIM] dead people who are among healthy people.
to grope like/as blind wall and like/as nothing eye to grope to stumble in/on/with midday like/as twilight in/on/with strong like/as to die
11 We growl like [SIM] [hungry] bears; we continually moan like [SIM] doves. We seek [people who do] what is just/fair, but we cannot find any [anywhere]. [We want God] to rescue us, but [it seems that] he is far away.
to roar like/as bear all our and like/as dove to mutter to mutter to await to/for justice and nothing to/for salvation to remove from us
12 [But these things are happening] because [it is as though] our sins are piled high in the presence of God, and that they testify [PRS] against us. We cannot deny it; we know that we have done many wrong things.
for to multiply transgression our before you and sin our to answer in/on/with us for transgression our with us and iniquity: crime our to know them
13 [We know that] we have rebelled against Yahweh; we have turned away from him. We (oppress people/treat people cruelly) by what we testify [against them]; we do not allow them to get what they have a right to get. We [SYN] think about the lies that we can tell, and then we tell them.
to transgress and to deceive in/on/with LORD and to remove from after God our to speak: speak oppression and revolt to conceive and to mutter from heart word deception
14 [In our courts, the judges] do not decide cases/matters fairly; no one is acting righteously. In plazas where people gather together, no one tells the truth [PRS]; [it seems that people] are not allowed to say what is true.
and to remove back justice and righteousness from distant to stand: stand for to stumble in/on/with street/plaza truth: true and upright not be able to/for to come (in): come
15 No one tells the truth, and people try to ruin [the reputations of] those who quit doing evil. Yahweh looked around, and he saw that no one was doing what is just/fair, and he was [very] displeased.
and to be [the] truth: true to lack and to turn aside: depart from bad: evil to loot and to see: see LORD and be evil in/on/with eye: appearance his for nothing justice
16 He was disgusted when he saw that no one tried to help [those who were being treated cruelly]. So he used his own power [MTY] to rescue them; it is because he is always righteous that he did that [PRS].
and to see: see for nothing man: anyone and be desolate: appalled for nothing to fall on and to save to/for him arm his and righteousness his he/she/it to support him
17 [It is as though he is a soldier who] [MET] puts on his armor and a helmet; his continually doing what is right is like [MET] his armor, and his ability to rescue people is [like] his helmet. His being extremely angry and his being ready to get revenge [on those who do evil] are like [MET] his robes.
and to clothe righteousness like/as armor and helmet salvation in/on/with head his and to clothe garment vengeance clothing and to enwrap like/as robe jealousy
18 He will repay his enemies for the evil things that they have done. He will severely punish [MTY] even those who live far [from Jerusalem].
like/as upon recompense like/as upon to complete rage to/for enemy his recompense to/for enemy his to/for coastland recompense to complete
19 When that happens, people everywhere, from the east to the west, will respect and honor Yahweh [MTY], because he will come like [SIM] a rushing river that is pushed along by the strong wind that Yahweh sent.
and to fear: revere from west [obj] name LORD and from east sun [obj] glory his for to come (in): come like/as river narrow spirit: breath LORD to flee in/on/with him
20 And Yahweh says that he will come to Jerusalem to free [his people]; he will come to rescue those in Judah who have quit (doing sinful things/their sinful behavior).
and to come (in): come to/for Zion to redeem: redeem and to/for to return: repent transgression in/on/with Jacob utterance LORD
21 This is what Yahweh says to his people: “This is the agreement that I will make with you: My Spirit will not leave you, and you will always have my message. You will [be able to] declare it [MTY], and your children and grandchildren will [be able to] declare it forever.”
and I this covenant my with them to say LORD spirit my which upon you and word my which to set: put in/on/with lip your not to remove from lip your and from lip seed: children your and from lip seed: children seed: children your to say LORD from now and till forever: enduring
