Isaiah 43
1 But now, you people of Israel, listen to Yahweh, the one who established your nation. The one who caused you to become a nation [DOU] says this: “Do not be afraid, because I previously rescued you. I enabled you to have a personal relationship with me [MTY], and you belong to me.
Bây giờ, hỡi Gia-cốp! Đức Giê-hô-va là Đấng đã dựng nên ngươi, hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên! Ngài là Đấng đã tạo thành ngươi, phán như vầy: Đừng sợ, vì ta đã chuộc ngươi. Ta đã lấy tên ngươi gọi ngươi; ngươi thuộc về ta.
2 When you [experience dangerous situations], and [you feel like] [MET] you are crossing deep rivers, I will be with you. When you have very big troubles/difficulties, you will [LIT] be able to endure them. When [people try to kill you like they tried to kill Daniel’s three friends by] throwing them in a fire, you will not [die, just like Daniel’s three friends were not] burned up,
Khi ngươi vượt qua các dòng nước, ta sẽ ở cùng; khi ngươi lội qua sông, sẽ chẳng che lấp. Khi ngươi bước qua lửa, sẽ chẳng bị cháy, ngọn lửa chẳng đốt ngươi.
3 because I am Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel, the one who rescues you. I will enable [the army of the emperor of Persia] to conquer Egypt instead of conquering you; similarly I will enable them to conquer Ethiopia, and Seba [in Arabia], in order that you can be saved.
Vì ta là Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời ngươi, Đấng Thánh của Y-sơ-ra-ên, Cứu Chúa ngươi. Ta ban Ê-díp-tô làm giá chuộc ngươi, Ê-thi-ô-bi và Sê-ba làm của thay ngươi.
4 I will cause other countries to be conquered, instead of your country; I will trade them for you, in order that you will not be killed, because you are very precious [DOU] to me and because I love you.
Vì ta đã coi ngươi là quí báu, đáng chuộng, và ta đã yêu ngươi, nên ta sẽ ban những người thế ngươi, và các dân tộc thay mạng sống ngươi.
5 Do not be afraid, because I am with you. [Some day] I will gather your descendants from the east and from the west.
Đừng sợ, vì ta ở cùng ngươi: ta sẽ khiến dòng dõi ngươi đến từ phương đông, và nhóm họp ngươi từ phương tây.
6 I will command the [rulers of the nations to] the north and to the south, ‘Allow all the people of Israel to return [to their country], from the most distant places on the earth.
Ta sẽ bảo phương bắc rằng: Hãy buông ra! và bảo phương nam rằng: Chớ cầm lại làm chi! Hãy đem các con trai ta về từ nơi xa, đem các con gái ta về từ nơi đầu cùng đất,
7 Allow all those who belong to me [MTY] to return, because I have caused them to become a nation in order that they would honor me; I am the one who has done that [DOU].’
tức là những kẻ xưng bằng tên ta, ta đã dựng nên họ vì vinh quang ta; ta đã tạo thành và đã làm nên họ.
8 Summon the people who have eyes but [it is as though] they are blind; summon those who have ears but [because they do not listen to me, it is as though] they are deaf.
Hãy đem dân nầy ra, là dân có mắt mà đui, và những kẻ có tai mà điếc!
9 Gather people of all nations together, ones from all people-groups, [and ask them this]: ‘Has any of their idols foretold the things that are happening now? And can any of them predict what will happen in the future?’ Then bring people who will testify and say ‘I heard them predict things, and what they predicted was what happened,’ [but they will be lying].”
Các nước hãy nhóm lại, các dân tộc hãy hiệp lại! Trong vòng họ, ai có thể rao truyền sự nầy, và tỏ cho chúng ta những sự từ trước? Họ hãy dẫn người làm chứng, hầu cho mình được xưng công bình, và cho người ta nghe mà nói rằng: Aáy là thật!
10 But Yahweh says, “You people of Israel (are my witnesses/know what I have done), and you are the ones who serve me. I chose you in order that you would know me, believe in me, and understand that I am the only one who is [truly] God. There is no other [true] God. There was no other [true] God previously, and there will never be another [true] God.
Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Các ngươi là kẻ làm chứng ta, và là đầy tớ ta đã chọn, hầu cho các ngươi được biết và tin ta, và hiểu rằng ta là Chúa! Chẳng có Đức Chúa Trời nào tạo thành trước ta, và cũng chẳng có sau ta nữa.
11 I, [only] I, am Yahweh, and there is no other one who can save you.
Aáy chính ta, chính ta là Đức Giê-hô-va, ngoài ta không có cứu chúa nào khác.
12 I said that I would rescue [your ancestors], and then I rescued them, and I proclaimed [that I had done it]. No foreign god among you did that! And you are witnesses that only I, Yahweh, am God.
Aáy chính ta là Đấng đã rao truyền, đã giải cứu, và đã chỉ bảo, chẳng có thần nào lạ giữa các ngươi. Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Các ngươi đều là người làm chứng, và ta là Đức Chúa Trời!
13 I am God, the one who has existed forever and who will exist forever; no one can snatch people from my hand, and no one can alter/change what I have done.”
Thật, từ khi có ngày ta đã là Đức Chúa Trời, chẳng ai có thể giải cứu khỏi tay ta. Ta làm ra, ai ngăn cấm ta được?
14 Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, is the one who rescues you; and this is what he says: “For your sake, I will send [an army] to [attack] Babylon. They will force the people of that city to flee in ships which they have been proud of.
Đức Giê-hô-va, Đấng Cứu chuộc các ngươi, Đấng Thánh của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Vì cớ các ngươi, ta đã sai đến Ba-by-lôn, khiến chúng nó, tức là người Canh-đê, như là người chạy trốn, xuống các tàu mình đã lấy làm vui mừng.
15 I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the one who caused Israel to become a nation, and the one who is really your king.
Ta, Đức Giê-hô-va, là Đấng Thánh của các ngươi, Đấng tạo thành Y-sơ-ra-ên, tức Vua các ngươi.
16 I am Yahweh, the one who opened a path through the water, making a road through the [Red] Sea.
Đức Giê-hô-va, là Đấng đã mở lối trong biển và đường vượt qua dòng nước mạnh,
17 Then I summoned the great army [of Egypt] to come with all their chariots and horses. [But when they tried to pursue my people], I caused the waves to flow over them [and they drowned]; their lives ended [like the light of a candle ends when someone] [MET] snuffs out the wick.
khiến xe, ngựa, cơ binh và lính mạnh nhóm lại, thảy đều nằm cả tại đó, sẽ không dậy nữa, bị ngột và tắt đi như tim đèn, phán như vầy:
18 But do not think [only] about what happened in the past, long ago [DOU].
Đừng nhớ lại sự đã qua, và chớ nghĩ đến sự đời trước.
19 Instead, consider the new thing that I am going to do. I have already started to do it; can you see it? I am going to make a road through the desert. And I will cause there to be streams in the wasteland/desert.
Nầy, ta sắp làm một việc mới, việc nầy sẽ hiện ra ngay; các ngươi há chẳng biết sao? Aáy là ta sẽ vạch một con đường trong đồng vắng, và khiến những sông chảy trong nơi sa mạc.
20 The jackals/wolves and owls and other wild creatures will thank me for giving them water in the desert. I will cause streams to appear in the dry desert in order that my people, the ones whom I have chosen, will have water;
Những thú đồng, với muông rừng và chim đà, sẽ tôn vinh ta; vì ta đặt các dòng nước trong đồng vắng và các sông trong sa mạc, đặng cho dân ta đã chọn được uống.
21 I will do that for the people whom I have created [and chosen] to belong to me, and [some day] they will cause many others to praise me.
Ta đã làm nên dân nầy cho ta, nó sẽ hát khen ngợi ta.
22 But now, you descendants of Jacob, you refuse to request my help. It seems that you people of Israel have become tired of worshiping me.
Song, hỡi Gia-cốp, ngươi chẳng từng kêu cầu ta! Hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, ngươi đã chán ta!
23 You have not brought to me sheep or goats for offerings that will be completely burned [on the altar]; you have not honored me by [bringing to me any] sacrifices, even though the offerings of grain and incense [that I asked you] to bring to me were not a burden to you.
Ngươi chẳng dùng chiên làm của lễ thiêu dâng cho ta, chẳng dùng hi sinh tôn kính ta. Ta chẳng làm phiền ngươi mà khiến dâng lễ vật, cũng chẳng làm nhọc ngươi mà khiến đốt hương.
24 You have bought for me fragrant reeds, and you have brought me the fat from your sacrifices. But these have not pleased me, because you have burdened me by all the sins that you have committed, and made me weary because of all (your iniquities/the wrong things that you have done).
Ngươi chẳng lấy tiền mua xương bồ cho ta, và chẳng lấy mỡ của hi sinh làm cho ta no; nhưng lại lấy tội lỗi mình làm cho ta phiền, lấy sự gian ác làm cho ta nhọc.
25 I am the one who is able to forgive you for all your sins; I am the only one who can do that, with the result that I will never think about them again.
Aáy chính ta, là Đấng vì mình ta mà xóa sự phạm tội ngươi; ta sẽ không nhớ đến tội lỗi ngươi nữa.
26 Tell me what I have done that you do not like. Do you think that when you state your case, you will prove that you (are innocent/have done nothing wrong) [IRO]?
Hãy nhắc lại cho ta nhớ; chúng ta hãy bình luận cùng nhau; hãy luận lẽ đi, hầu cho ngươi được xưng công bình.
27 No, [what has happened is that] the first ancestor of you Israelis sinned [against me], and since then, all your leaders have rebelled against me.
Thỉ tổ ngươi đã phạm tội, các thầy giáo ngươi lại phạm phép nghịch cùng ta.
28 That is why I have caused your priests to be disgraced; and I have allowed others to destroy you people of Israel and caused you to be despised.”
Vậy nên ta làm nhục các quan trưởng của nơi thánh; ta sẽ bắt Gia-cốp làm sự rủa sả, và Y-sơ-ra-ên làm sự gièm chê.
