Isaiah 12

1 At that time, you [people of Jerusalem] will sing [this song]: “Yahweh, we praise you! [Previously], you were angry with us, but you are not angry now and you have comforted us.

E dirás naquele dia: Graças te dou, ó Senhor, de que, ainda que te iraste contra mim, contudo a tua ira se retirou, e tu me consolas.

2 Amazingly, you [have come to] save us, [so] we will trust [in you] and not be afraid. Yahweh our God, you enable us to be strong; you are [the one about whom] we sing; you have rescued us [from our enemies].”

Eis que Deus é a minha salvação; nele confiarei, e não temerei; porque a minha força e o meu cântico é Deus Jehovah, e ele foi a minha salvação.

3 You(pl), [his people], will greatly enjoy being saved like [MET] you enjoy drinking water from a fountain.

E vós tirareis águas com alegria das fontes da salvação.

4 At that time you [all] will say, “We should thank Yahweh! We should praise him [MTY]! We should tell [the people of all] the people-groups what he has done; we should enable them to know that he [MTY] is very great!

E direis naquele dia: dai graças ao Senhor, invocai o seu nome, manifestai os seus feitos entre os povos, contai quão exalçado é o seu nome.

5 We should sing to Yahweh, because he has done wonderful things. We should enable everyone in the world to know it!

Salmodiai ao Senhor, porque fez coisas grandiosas: saiba-se isto em toda a terra.

6 You people of Jerusalem, shout joyfully to praise Yahweh, because he is the great Holy One whom we Israeli [people worship], and he lives among us!”

Exulta e canta de gozo, ó moradora de Sião, porque o Santo de Israel grande é no meio de ti.
